“Help me QAQ”
In the dark alley late at night, a woman’s terrified scream tore through the sky as her body, enveloped by a Slime monster, gradually sank.
She was a poor, overworked office lady who had been working until the early hours. After getting off work, she had been staggering forward on her high heels, her black suit jacket casually draped over her arm.
But unfortunately for her, she was attacked by a Slime monster released by the evil organization.
Just then, brilliant starlight poured down from the clouds, and a silver meteor streaked across the night sky—
“In the name of the stars, shine and purify!”
The childish voice, cracking with embarrassment, belonged to a little white-haired, red-eyed loli who shouted the transformation slogan with her eyes closed.
Brilliant stardust exploded around her, and her loose pajamas transformed into a midriff-baring outfit adorned with flowing light.
Golden star patterns danced on her white over-the-knee socks, and two dangling star hair ornaments were pinned to the ends of her hair.
“Magical Girl Star, at your service!”
Xingyue: 🤮
Xingyue: ‘So embarrassing (〃﹏〃)’
After transforming, Xingyue’s face was as red as an apple.
This was why she disliked being a magical girl… every transformation required her to say such embarrassing things…
Xingyue’s face was flushed, and the tips of her ears felt like they were on fire.
“What’s the big deal? It’s just a Slime. Easy.”
Xingyue knew the origin of this Slime. When she was still a villain executive, she had once opened an interdimensional rift and summoned monsters from another world.
But Slimes were just the lowest-level kind. Besides being able to melt clothes, their slime was useless.
Xingyue had learned some simple magic these past few days, which was more than enough to deal with a Slime.
A pale blue light gathered at Xingyue’s fingertips, and she shouted delicately:
“Star Burst!”
A shower of fine starlight crashed down on the Slime.
The Slime made a clicking sound and, in the bright light, dissolved into a puddle of soft slime on the ground.
“Are you alright?”
Xingyue turned and helped up the still-shaken office lady, her fluffy white hair brushing against the back of the woman’s hand.
“Thank you… Miss Star.”
The woman’s cheeks were flushed as she stammered her thanks before hastily leaving, the sound of her high heels tapping on the ground gradually fading at the alley’s entrance.
“Wow, she actually recognized me… Looks like I’ve made a bit of a name for myself these past few days.”
That’s right. Under Ruoxi’s instructions, and in order to gain her trust and earn Redemption Points, Xingyue was forced to act as Magical Girl Star to eliminate the monsters in this area as atonement.
To Xingyue, monsters were just tools from her past. Gone was gone.
“It would be awkward if I ran into my subordinates…”
She didn’t want to fight her own subordinates… although that day might come sooner or later.
Xingyue: ‘Once I have enough points, I’ll go back to them in my original form, hmm…’
Xingyue let out a sigh of relief and was about to cancel her transformation when the slime beside her suddenly trembled violently.
The supposedly dead Slime had re-formed, splitting into dozens of slime tentacles that flew towards Xingyue.
“Eh?!”
Caught off guard, Xingyue’s pupils contracted.
The Slime enveloped her entire body.
Xingyue’s face flushed as she squirmed, the star hair ornaments in her hair teetering on the verge of falling off:
“Aaaahhh, let go of me! You—”
Magic lost its effect in the slime, and Xingyue’s legs were entangled by the Slime.
Xingyue was both embarrassed and anxious, tears welling up in the corners of her eyes: “N-No QAQ”
And just then…
“Listen to the roar of the sun!”
A whooshing sound suddenly cut through the air.
Ruoxi’s… or rather, Magical Girl Sunshine’s golden hair streaked across the night sky like a meteor, the tip of her magic sword bursting with a dazzling light.
“Holy Light Judgment!”
Under the holy light, the Slime dissipated into green smoke.
“Little Xingyue, are you okay?”
Ruoxi rushed forward and hugged the limp Xingyue.
“Waaah… my clothes are all dirty.”
Xingyue said with teary eyes, looking at the Slime fragments on her body.
“I’m sorry, Sister Ruoxi… I disappointed you… boohoo…”
Ruoxi: ‘So cute…’
Seeing the pitiful-looking Xingyue-chan, Ruoxi couldn’t help but swallow.
[Ruoxi’s Favorability +5]
[Her trust in you has increased.]
“It’s okay. You’ve only just become a magical girl and only know low-level magic. It’s normal to make mistakes.”
Ruoxi patted Xingyue’s head to show that it was alright.
“Mhm…”
Xingyue nodded.
But inwardly, she was secretly laughing.
Xingyue: ‘That’s right, trust me more o(`ω´*)o’
‘That way, I’ll have a chance to recover~’
“Alright, hurry home, wash up, and get some rest. You have to report to the academy tomorrow.”
Ruoxi said with a smile.
“Okay… eh? Academy? What academy?”
“It’s where I go to school, Dawn Academy. After all, magical girls have to go to school too.”
Xingyue: ‘What ∑(°口°๑)❢❢’
‘Are you kidding me? Making a dignified evil executive go to school? Is this poetic justice?’
Xingyue: ‘I’d rather die than go (◦`~´◦)’
****
“Hello everyone, my name is Xingyue… I’m the new transfer student…”
The next day, at Dawn Academy… Morning light streamed through the classroom’s glass windows, casting dappled spots of light on Xingyue’s white stockings.
Xingyue stood at the front of the classroom, clutching her schoolbag strap, wearing a small school uniform jacket. Her star hair ornaments swayed gently with her nervous movements.
More than forty pairs of eyes stared at her from below, and she could even hear suppressed snickers from the back row, causing a suspicious blush to creep up the tips of her ears.
Xingyue: ‘Waaah… this is so embarrassing…’
So why was Xingyue here?
Although Xingyue had indeed said she would rather die than go to school, but…
Xingyue: ‘That bastard blonde idiot will actually hit me X﹏X’
There was no choice. Xingyue had to come as a transfer student.
However, as “Ruoxi’s little sister,” Xingyue definitely couldn’t be in the same class as Ruoxi.
So she came to this class, a year below Ruoxi’s, as a transfer student…
“Please take good care of me…”
Xingyue’s voice was a few notches softer than usual.
“Okay, a wonderful self-introduction! Everyone, let’s have a round of applause~”
Out of the corner of her eye, Xingyue saw a pink-haired loli, who was only half as tall as the lectern, clapping her hands beside the blackboard. Her round eyes blinked like a talking doll.
She was Xingyue’s future homeroom teacher—Teacher Yan Mengmeng.
“From now on, little Xingyue will be our classmate. Everyone, please take good care of her.”
“Thank you, teacher…”
Xingyue: ‘So why is there such a tiny homeroom teacher… Does the principal have some strange fetish (ᇂ_ᇂ|||)’
The white-haired, red-eyed loli complained in her heart.
“Student Xingyue can choose can choose her own seat!” Teacher Mengmeng tiptoed and tapped the blackboard, and chalk dust fell on her fluffy skirt.
“You can sit alone if you want, but there are three empty seats right now. You could also choose a deskmate, little Xingyue. That would make it much easier to fit in~”
Teacher Mengmeng pointed to several spots.
Xingyue followed Mengmeng’s finger and saw that there were indeed three empty desks in the classroom.
In the first row by the window, a girl with short, flaxen-colored hair was looking down, adjusting a lavender bow. Her eyelashes cast fan-shaped shadows beneath her eyes.
“Hm…?”
She accidentally made eye contact with Xingyue, who was observing the seats, and shyly turned her head away the next second.
‘She seems like a shy, gentle girl…’
Another empty seat was in the center of the classroom. The deskmate was a blue-haired, blue-eyed girl. She wore a diamond brooch on the collar of her snow-white shirt and was currently writing elegantly in a notebook with a gilded fountain pen, though her gaze occasionally flickered towards Xingyue at the front.
‘Was it just Xingyue’s imagination… or did her gaze hold a hint of a young lady’s arrogance?’
As for the last spot… it was in the back row by the window.
“…zzZZ“
A black-haired, red-eyed girl was curled up in her chair. You could see she had a pair of cat ears drooping amidst her messy hair, and her tail was listlessly tapping the floor as she slept soundly.
But the tip of her tail seemed to have faint battle scars…
‘She doesn’t seem like an obedient girl. And she’s a cat girl loli.’
“So, make your choice, little Xingyue. Where would you like to sit?”
Teacher Mengmeng asked.
“I…”
Just as Xingyue was thinking…
[Time of Decision!]
[Who will you choose to sit next to?]
[A. Next to the seemingly gentle and well-behaved, flaxen-haired girl in the first row.]
[B. Next to the blue-haired young lady in the middle of the classroom, who has a hint of arrogance in her eyes.]
[C. Next to the black-haired, red-eyed cat girl loli sleeping at her desk in the back row by the window.]
Xingyue: ‘I’ll have to think this over carefully 🤔’
