Chapter 1: Day 1

“F*ck.”

The girl, who had been sitting blankly for a long time, muttered a curse under her breath.

F*ck.
F*ck.

F*ck f*ck f*ck f*ck.

F*ck f*ck f*ck f*ck f*ck f*ck.

“F*ck!”

As if to vent all the pent-up frustration, the girl cursed at the sky and breathed heavily.

She couldn’t stay in despair forever.

She couldn’t stay shocked by the fact that she went from being a man to a girl.
A girl of no more than 10 years old at that.

At the very least, she needed to know ‘where’ she was, ‘what’ this place was, and how ‘dangerous’ it was.

Well, even so.

“There’s nothing but tombstones as far as the eye can see.”

Tombstones.

They are stones that mark graves.

Graves.

They are, so to speak, burial places.

But….

“I don’t see any graves.”

She had been wandering around for quite some time, but all she could see were tombstones.
There wasn’t a single grave in sight.

There are no graves, but there are tombstones?

The girl shivered at the strange sight.

Something was ominous.

It felt ominous and unsettling.

Therefore, the girl set off to escape this peculiar place filled with nothing but tombstones.

She ran as fast as her small, childlike feet could carry her.

However, no matter how much she ran, the girl couldn’t escape this place filled with tombstones.

No, to be more precise.

‘I keep coming back to the same place.’

The girl muttered inwardly.

No matter how much she ran, at some point, the girl couldn’t shake the feeling that she had arrived at the place where she first opened her eyes.

Therefore.

Scratch, scratch.

The girl left a mark on the nearest tombstone and ran forward again.

How long had she been running like that?

It felt like she had been running and running and running for about five minutes….

“You’ve got to be f*cking kidding me!”

A curse word escaped the girl’s mouth once again.

Her thoughts were correct.

The mark she had made five minutes ago remained intact on the nearby tombstone.

‘Why the hell?’

The girl couldn’t understand.

She was just running forward, but at some point, she would return to the place where she first opened her eyes, and it made her feel like she was going crazy.

No matter how many times she tried.

No matter how many times she challenged it, the result was the same.

“This is driving me insane…”

Eventually, the girl, who had given up on escaping this place, collapsed to the ground.

She couldn’t think of any way to escape this goddamn place.

Could it be that she was trapped in this goddamn place forever?

In this place where nothing existed but tombstones without graves?

“What the hell am I supposed to do…!”

Grumble.

She couldn’t escape.

The moment she realized that fact, the girl was about to scream out of anger, but she shut her mouth at the sound that resonated from her stomach.

Come to think of it, she hadn’t eaten anything since she opened her eyes in this goddamn place.

The moment she realized that fact.

Chills!

“D-Danger!”

The girl shouted without realizing it.

It was dangerous.
And it was dangerous.

Not a single blade of grass grew in this place.

All that existed was solely tombstones.

Even though she had become a girl from a man, as long as the essence was human.

No, as long as she was a living creature, the fact that she needed to eat something wouldn’t change.

At least, if there was water, she was lucky that there was even stagnant, rotten water on the ground.

Although it was water so rotten that she wondered if she could survive if she drank it.

But what about food?

Without food, how long could she last on just rotten water?

And was the rotten water unlimited?
It wasn’t.

The rotten water was also limited.

There was no food.

Even the water was limited.

She would always be starving.

And when even the rotten water completely ran out….

‘I’ll d-die!’

The moment she thought of that, the girl ran forward like crazy.

She had to get out of this goddamn place right away.

She didn’t want to die like this.

She hadn’t thought of such a terrible death in her entire life!

But.

“Haa! Haa!”

The girl, who had already returned to the place where she first opened her eyes dozens of times, breathed heavily.

There was no hope.

There was no hope that she could escape this place.

No matter how many times she tried, the result was the same.

She tried running in other directions just in case, but it was the same.

She thought maybe running straight was the problem, so she tried running in curves, but that was the same too.

It was the same when she walked backward.

It was the same when she walked in a circle.

No method worked.

And the girl realized.

I am.

Here.

“Going to die.”

Haha, the girl laughed a hollow laugh, thinking of death.

#

A day had passed.

Unable to withstand the thirst and hunger, she drank the rotten water.

And then, terrible stomach pains came.

Three days had passed.

On the first day, she had such terrible stomach pains that she swore never to drink the rotten water again, but the hunger and thirst were even more terrible, so she drank the rotten water again.

She drank it.

As a result, she struggled with the same terrible stomach pains as on the first day.

A week had passed.

The girl realized that her body was not normal.

The first time she drank the rotten water, she had terrible stomach pains, but now it was reduced to a level she could bear to some extent.

It felt as if her body was adapting to the toxicity of the rotten water.

But, still, she couldn’t solve the hunger.

Two weeks had passed.

The puddles of stagnant, rotten water that had been located here and there gradually began to disappear.

There were clearly more than thirty puddles, but when she came to her senses, there were not even seven left.

It was the result of unknowingly continuing to drink the rotten water to relieve her struggling thirst and hunger.

A month had passed.

Now there was only one puddle of rotten water left.

Even that was gradually showing its bottom.

The girl looked down at the puddle of rotten water showing its bottom and laughed.

“I’m a f*cking idiot.”

Her long black hair that reached the floor had long since become disheveled.

Her body, which had not eaten anything, looked like it was just skin and bones.

The girl had to desperately suppress the urge to tear and eat her own body from the hunger that struck her from time to time.

The black dress, which seemed quite luxurious, had also become like a rag.

“Hah-.”

A dry laugh escaped her parched lips.

How did it come to this?

No, ‘how’ was no longer important.

The important thing was just one.

‘Why’ was it?

Why did she have to suffer such a terrible thing?

Why did she fall into such a terrible hell?

Why?
Just why?

Why the hell did she have to suffer like this!

Just!

“Why-!”

Kurrrr-.

As the girl screamed like a madwoman in her rising anger, a heavy rumble entered her ears.

Without realizing it, the girl turned her gaze to the source of the sound, and what was reflected in her eyes was.

“A, a hole?”

It was a hole.

It was a hole in the literal sense of the word.

In the sky.

In the murky black sky, like a modern night sky, a hole was punched open!

Bright light seeped through the hole, and dark figures that looked like people shimmered in the light.

Of…!

That’s it.
That hole.

That hole was the only way out of this terrible hell.

At the same time, the girl belatedly realized that she was running towards the hole.

Instead of her devastated mind, her equally devastated body moved first.

But.

“N-No!”

The girl running towards the hole screamed in despair.

The hole.
The hole was closing.

Kugugung!
The hole closed with a heavy rumble.

The pure white light gradually disappeared, and the blue sky beyond it disappeared from view.

No!
Don’t close!

There’s a person here!

Help me!
Please save me!

F*ck!
Why are you closing it!
You bastards!

Don’t close it don’t close it don’t close it don’t close it don’t close it don’t close it.

Please.

“Don’t close it!”

Thud.

The girl tripped over a tombstone and fell.

At the same time, the girl, who quickly raised her body, looked up at the sky again, but the hole that had been there had already disappeared without a trace.

“Ha, haha.
Ahahahaha.”

Hope was gone.

The hope of getting out of this hell was gone.

The moment she realized that, only a dead laugh escaped the girl’s mouth.

Yes.

“Let’s just die.”

This is the limit anymore.

Let’s just die.

“Let’s be free from this terrible pain.”

Then, how should she die?

There was no rope to hang herself, nor a tall tree.

There was no knife to stab her heart.

There was no blunt object to smash her head.

How.
How could she die?

Just as the girl was thinking that, looking up at the sky with murky, dead eyes.

Sniff sniff-.

The girl’s nose sniffed.

A stench was coming from not far away.

“Ah…?”

It was the first stench she had ever smelled in hell.
No, it was a smell.

Without realizing it, the girl got up and walked to the place where the smell was coming from.

Staggering, the girl moved her steps weakly.

How long had she been walking like that?

The girl was able to arrive at the source of the smell.

There were corpses lying around that she had never seen in hell before.

The corpses were not those of beasts, but of humans.

Some corpses were missing both arms.

Some corpses had their stomachs ripped open and their intestines were spilling out.

Some corpses had their heads crushed, and some corpses were completely mangled.

Where did those corpses come from?

Was it related to the hole she saw earlier?

She didn’t know.

But.
Nevertheless, one thing was certain.

“Food….”

The girl’s voice, which leaked from her dry lips, was filled with a ray of hope.

To the girl, the corpses with a terrible stench were not ‘corpses’.

To her, they were no different from ‘food’.

To the girl, who had been suffering from terrible hunger for over a month, it didn’t matter whether the corpses were human or not.

Just, if she could relieve this terrible hunger by eating those corpses, that was enough.

With that thought, the girl unknowingly took a step towards the corpses.

The pile of corpses gradually got closer.

Only after arriving at the pile of corpses did the girl realize why there were only tombstones here.
And not even the letter C of corpses could be seen.

“What is this…?”

‘Something’ was eating the corpses.

It was tearing off the rotten flesh of the corpses.
Gnawing on the pure white bones, and drinking the few remaining drops of dark red blood.

It was something that even the girl, who had lived in hell for over a month, had never seen before.

At the same time, it was eating the corpses as if possessed by a hungry ghost.

The moment she realized that fact.

“That’s my ‘food’!”

Her food was decreasing.

No, it was disappearing, not just decreasing.

The moment she realized that fact, the girl threw herself at the corpses.

She tore off the flesh of the corpses.

She drank the few drops of dark red blood that were mostly dried up.

She gnawed off the remaining flesh.

While interfering with something that was aiming for her food with the pure white bones left after being eaten.
Point.

The girl thus ate the ‘food’ like crazy.

Wow no hesitation. Well if someone in same situation, they won’t have any hesitation. Especially she can’t have easy way to suicide.
