“Look, another bad review from Chen Zeyu.
This is the fifth one today.”
“Ah!
How did we miss this?
We gave the beta testing access to Chen Zeyu.”
Click, click.
The sharp sound of boots echoed around a circular table, where a ring of white candles burned.
In the shadows where the light didn’t reach, several silhouettes flashed by.
They varied in height, the only common feature being the pointed hats atop their heads.
The seats were filled, and the girl in the chairperson’s position coughed lightly.
She removed her pointed hat and stood up, her waist-length silver hair shimmering in the candlelight.
“Good evening, respected witch elders.
I am Evetti Flann, here in place of my mother to attend this project meeting.”
Evetti bowed, and the witches in pointed hats nodded slightly.
“Let the project meeting for the eighth time before public testing begin.”
Evetti lifted her skirt elegantly and sat down.
The moment she sat, a blonde witch immediately stood up.
“It’s the same problem as last time.
That brat is giving bad reviews again!
The character model hasn’t been fully optimized in the beta stage, and he’s focusing on a minor issue of texture glitches!”
The blonde witch’s speech was full of resentment, and this resonated with another witch with long blue hair.
“Don’t even get me started.
Is it Chen Zeyu?
He keeps criticizing my BOSS image and NPC interactions.
Our scores for the BOSS, which we modeled, have been dragged down by him.
He says we should cancel the BOSS stage buffs for players and add more negative effects!
Isn’t that torture?”
The witches’ complaints echoed around the room, and Evetti, sitting at the chairperson’s position, felt like she was sitting on pins and needles, forced to maintain a smile while listening.
The main topic of this witch meeting was a game project.
The witches had developed Dawn’s Prayer to the pre-release testing stage, but a beta tester named Chen Zeyu kept giving negative reviews, never a single positive one.
Evetti wasn’t a main participant in the project.
She was only attending this meeting as a substitute for her mother and would leave soon.
‘I just need to endure a little longer, and then I can go home and read my spellbooks.’
Evetti thought, and her purple pupils suddenly met a pair of green eyes.
“Little Evetti, some of those bad reviews are about you, you know.”
“Huh?
Lammiell, there are some about me too?”
Evetti forced a smile, and Lammiell, the green-haired witch, waved her hand lightly.
A screen appeared on the circular table.
[I don’t like Evetti Flann. Her chest is too small and almost concave. Suggest enhancing it.]
This was a new comment from Chen Zeyu, posted just one minute ago.
“Hehe… Players can be like that too, Lammiell.”
Evetti maintained a graceful smile, but a frown unconsciously appeared on her forehead, and her fists clenched.
“Tsk, Little Evetti, you’re too kind.
You should know that players like this aren’t just picking on you once or twice.
They’ll definitely have more to say about your interactive storylines.
Don’t you want to avoid seeing these hurtful reviews anymore?”
Lammiell half-opened one eye, the other curving into a smile, as if she had something to ask.
“Lammiell, what do you want me to do?
I’m on it!”
Evetti patted her chest, looking ready to take action.
“Little Evetti is so understanding.
You caught on quickly.
Go meet that player, Chen Zeyu, and give him a little hint so he’ll talk less in the future.”
“He said too much.
He deserves a little punishment.”
Evetti lowered her head, caressing her flat chest.
“Punishment?
Well then, everyone, let’s end the meeting here.
We’ll leave the rest to our Little Evetti.”
Lammiell suggested to the other witches, and they all nodded, strange smiles playing on their faces.
“Do your best, Little Evetti.”
Lammiell turned to Evetti and said.
“Yes, Lammiell.”
Evetti drew a wand from behind her back, and a vast expanse of stars appeared behind her.
She leaned back, perfectly connecting to a mid-air flip, and flew straight down towards the night scene of the city below.
At that moment, in a small, rundown apartment.
“Damn, why do I have to solve this puzzle?
Who would think of this?
I need to give feedback on this.”
Chen Zeyu was wearing a game headset, muttering to himself.
Since the beta testing for Dawn’s Prayer began, Chen Zeyu had been completely immersed in the game.
As a flagship game from a new company, Dawn’s Prayer involved mysterious technology and equipment that sometimes defied current scientific understanding.
Because of this, Dawn’s Prayer had garnered a lot of attention from players, and as a lucky beta tester with a game headset, Chen Zeyu cherished the opportunity to experience the beta test.
Chen Zeyu yawned, having played too long today.
“Well, that’s enough for today.”
Chen Zeyu removed the headset, revealing his true face.
His messy black short hair and faint dark circles under his eyes made him look unwell.
The room was filled with empty beverage bottles and leftover instant noodle cups.
The dynamic step mat for the game occupied a large area, leaving little space for the bed, which was Chen Zeyu’s usual cramped living space.
Thinking back to the recent comments he made, Chen Zeyu closed his eyes and pondered.
‘What else can I suggest?
Although the game is almost perfect, it still needs a little more.’
Right, Chen Zeyu was still demanding improvements from the developers, unaware that trouble was about to come his way.
Whoosh!
Suddenly, a strong wind blew open the window, and a bright, cold light pierced Chen Zeyu’s eyes, blinding him like sunlight.
“W-what’s going on!”
Chen Zeyu covered his eyes with both hands.
The wind was chilling, and he felt an inexplicable chill in his heart!
“You really enjoy giving bad reviews, don’t you?
You get restless if you don’t give one a day.”
The girl’s voice was crisp and angry.
‘Is there someone behind me?
And it’s a girl?’
Chen Zeyu tried to turn his head to look, but an invisible force held him still!
“Don’t move.
Because of your repeated malicious reviews, I’m going to give you a small punishment.”
“Who are you!
How dare you barge into my home!”
Chen Zeyu couldn’t turn his neck, and a sense of dread grew stronger.
“Huh?
Who am I?
You’ll find out soon enough!”
The girl pushed Chen Zeyu, and he fell hard on the bed, his face covered by the sheet.
“Now, it’s time for your punishment!
You said it was too small, so I’ll let you experience what that feels like!”
The girl’s voice was full of resentment.
Chen Zeyu felt cold sweat trickling down his forehead, desperately trying to remember what he had said.
‘Was it the comment I left for Evetti Flann!
Could it be that she came to see me!
That’s impossible!
It’s just a game!’
Chen Zeyu didn’t have time to think straight.
His face was pushed to the side by small hands, and a small bottle filled with black liquid was placed in front of his eyes.
“What’s this!”
Chen Zeyu shouted, but his mouth opened involuntarily.
“Drink it and you’ll know.”
The girl removed the bottle cap and poured the contents into Chen Zeyu’s mouth!
‘It’s so bitter!
How is she controlling my body!’
Chen Zeyu couldn’t understand, so she let the girl manipulate her body.
“You drank it all.”
The girl released Chen Zeyu’s neck, and the force holding her body disappeared.
“What did you give me to drink!”
Chen Zeyu shouted, but her body went limp.
“A potion I just made.
Unfortunately, the materials are limited, so there’s only one bottle.
Be grateful for this punishment.”
The girl walked slowly to Chen Zeyu, who was now weakened.
Chen Zeyu would never forget the girl’s face.
Her purple eyes were as clear as crystal, her small nose slightly upturned, giving her a proud look.
Moonlight outlined her smooth, flawless face.
A wand was tucked under her arm, and a black pointed hat was worn on her back.
Her black and white striped dress hugged her petite body, and her white legs were tightly wrapped in white stockings.
‘It was Evetti Flann?!
And she gave me some kind of transformation potion! ?’
Chen Zeyu was stunned, but her vision suddenly dropped, and something was blocking it.
“You are… mm?!
My voice!”
Chen Zeyu felt her voice become high-pitched, and her body felt strange!
“Take a look at yourself now.”
Evetti held up a mirror with her wand.
In the mirror, a girl with silver hair and a wide T-shirt that had fallen off her shoulders, revealing a large expanse of white skin.
Chen Zeyu suddenly realized that it was her.
