“Although it might sound bad to say this, Senior Aikefisi, I hate being kept in the dark—especially when it’s about something that involves me.”
Aikefisi made a thoughtful expression.
“In that case, how about I give you something in return?”
“Return?”
Aikefisi winked at Collins.
“Hey, when I came here for the exam, I did a lot of digging. During my research, I discovered a student preparing to enroll at Hawk Academy who has a lot to do with you.”
Collins pointed at himself, and Aikefisi nodded with a smile.
“So, Junior, are you interested in taking a look?”
“Since Senior put it that way, I suppose I’ll take a look.”
On the third floor, the projection hall—usually rented out for weddings—had been completely reserved by Hawk Academy.
A large number of waiting students had gathered here, quietly seated in the exam area.
Collins saw his younger sister.
Moyue was sitting nervously in a corner.
“See? I told you it was someone closely related to you.”
Collins nodded.
“Senior, what are you trying to say?”
“Don’t you get what I mean?”
Collins couldn’t find words.
He felt like he had been played by Aikefisi from the very beginning.
But this kind of manipulation, he couldn’t even bring up.
Because if Moyue enrolled and Aikefisi became an intern teacher at Hawk Academy, then Moyue and Aikefisi would be in a teacher-student relationship.
Regardless of anything else, Aikefisi’s magical abilities were second only to Collins.
And she was great at teaching.
“Hey, Junior. Let’s call this a transaction. I may have schemed against you, but I’ll take good care of your sister.”
“So this is like giving me a slap and then a candy?”
Aikefisi patted Collins on the shoulder.
“No, it’s just a deal. You help me, I help you. Isn’t that pretty normal?”
“You’re that sure Moyue will be admitted?”
“I do have some connections, you know.”
“Your father may seem uninvolved, but in reality, he’s already spoken with Hawk Academy’s principal.”
“Your sister’s admission to Hawk is practically guaranteed.”
Collins suddenly understood why his senior had brought him here.
“You want my father to put in a word for you too?”
“Me? I’m not someone with a strong foundation.”
“If I don’t grab onto any chance I can, I won’t accomplish anything.”
“Besides, if I get into the school, I could even help tutor your sister. It’s a win-win, don’t you think?”
Collins chuckled softly and didn’t respond further.
At this point, even Aikefisi knew not to speak again.
Some things are best left at that.
They both turned their attention to Moyue.
Hawk Academy was a prestigious school.
Since its founding, its academic performance had been outstanding.
A large number of trophies and excellence awards gave the school enough confidence to openly recruit elite students from across society.
Their entrance exams were much more difficult than those of regular magic high schools.
Other schools might only require three simple spells to pass.
Hawk Academy demanded at least a Tier 1 magic spell or the ability to decipher Tier 1 spell logic.
Moyue sat quietly in a corner, not wanting to draw attention.
But her delicate, attractive appearance still drew the admiration of many young boys.
Several boys glanced at her frequently.
Among those admiring glances, however, were also several sharp, piercing stares.
They came from classmates Moyue least wanted to see.
“She’s just a slime.”
“Does she really think she can get into Hawk High?”
“She should look in a mirror and see what she really is.”
Even just hearing those venomous words was enough to make one’s blood boil.
Moyue’s face turned slightly red, but she quickly swallowed that anger.
She had lived in this kind of environment for a long time.
And she had learned how to endure many things.
Aikefisi nudged Collins.
“Your sister doesn’t seem very popular.”
“According to my information, those girls are her classmates.”
“But they don’t seem to have any kindness toward her.”
Collins studied those jealous little girls glaring at his sister.
“That’s not unkindness—just jealousy.”
“If people are jealous of you, it means you haven’t handled your relationships well enough.”
Collins looked seriously at Aikefisi.
“Not everyone can handle relationships as well as you do, Senior Aikefisi.”
A few people stepped down from the examiner’s platform, their faces pale and defeated.
Those girls who had glared at Collins’ sister exchanged a few words, sneered, and then headed to the stage.
But soon enough, they too came down looking pale and defeated.
Even with his low emotional intelligence, Collins could clearly tell that none of them had performed well.
