“Holy Suppression”
[Rarity: World-Class Item]
[Item Type: Equipped Armor]
[Effect: Selectively activatable. Once activated, this item completely suppresses all of the wearer’s magic, rendering them unable to use any spells. Simultaneously, it greatly enhances the wearer’s combat abilities, boosting them by up to ten times, calculated based on the suppressed magic.]
[Remark: Legend has it that Holy Suppression was once worn by the Moon Goddess. Possessing immense magical power but poor physical stamina, the Goddess invented this armor to convert her magic into physical prowess. It is said that ever since, a certain deity has frequently been heard complaining of domestic violence, sporting a face full of bruises.]
The pristine white full-body armor Domu wore was none other than “Holy Suppression,” one of the world-class items in her possession.
This very “Holy Suppression” was a reward earned by Domu’s Lorolox Guild. They had acquired it years ago, after successfully conquering the “Unbreakable Fortress – Bakarann,” the only such stronghold in the entire game world, and defeating its formidable guardians.
It was worth noting that the Lorolox Guild comprised only nine members, all of whom were hyper-invested players. After seizing Bakarann, they obtained four world-class items: the armor “Holy Suppression,” the gauntlets “Applicable Life,” the staff “Instant Death,” and the ring “Sacrifice Everything.”
These four artifacts instantly propelled Lorolox to become the guild possessing the most world-class items within “Tears of the Goddess.”
“Holy Suppression” was also the very equipment Domu had worn during her time as a handsome, dashing, and elegant Death Knight. It was for this reason that many players had dubbed her the “Silver Reaper” back then.
Alas, those were tales of a bygone era. Lowering her gaze to the pristine white armor adorning her form, Domu gently shook her head, reluctantly pulling herself away from the bittersweet embrace of her memories.
Upon hearing Soronna’s gasp, Domu activated the abilities of “Holy Suppression.” In an instant, she experienced the long-forgotten sensation of losing all her magic. Yet, as boundless strength surged through her, she found herself surprised to have the opportunity to don this equipment again after her transformation into a Dark Valkyrie.
As a high-tier rare class combining magic and martial arts, the Dark Valkyrie’s combat prowess was not significantly different from that of a Death Knight. Domu mused that her current self, after the class change, could likely overcome ten opponents, even if they were all versions of her former self clad in “Holy Suppression.”
From her initial observations in this world, Domu had noticed that her inherent Dark Valkyrie traits caused her to involuntarily emit an oppressive aura towards surrounding creatures. While she didn’t know the exact strength of this world’s inhabitants, those she had encountered so far seemed even weaker than Mr. Stinkbug, whom she had met at the very beginning.
The precise magnitude of this power gap remained unclear, however, as Domu could hardly distinguish between a millimeter and two.
Despite this, Domu remained vigilant, as she had yet to encounter any true powerhouses in this world. She worried that if she were to simply waltz into human society, her Dark Valkyrie characteristics would undoubtedly attract a great deal of trouble for both her and Dove. This concern led her to consider “Holy Suppression.”
By suppressing her magic, she could control the aura she involuntarily emitted. Furthermore, it offered an unexpected benefit: she could also conceal her female identity. After all, her chest was rather prominent, making walking somewhat inconvenient.
‘Indeed, in the face of adversity, human ingenuity truly flourishes,’ she mused. ‘To think I could devise so many clever solutions in a single moment!’ A faint blush crept across Domu’s cheeks beneath her helmet.
Her most immediate priority was to locate Na’er as soon as possible, ensuring both her and Dove’s safety. She was unsure why she couldn’t contact Na’er; perhaps the interdimensional travel had rendered the game’s communication features inoperative.
Regardless, she decided to re-establish her reputation among mercenaries under the moniker “Silver Reaper.” If it were Na’er, with her keen intellect, she would surely recognize her, and perhaps even seek her out first.
As Domu silently commended herself, Soronna, Kase, and Os suddenly realized that their fear had completely vanished. Observing Soronna’s shocked expression, Kase quickly inquired.
“Soronna, what’s wrong?”
“When I just probed it,” Soronna stammered, “I sensed that the power emanating from Sister Domu’s armor far surpassed my ‘Heart of No Regrets.’ No, it was even beyond the energy contained within a Holy Artifact. It felt like… like a Divine Artifact…”
Soronna still couldn’t calm the shock in her heart. She had believed she understood Domu’s strength, but Domu’s spatial abilities, coupled with the equipment she casually produced—items that vastly exceeded the power of any Holy Artifact—had completely overturned Soronna’s comprehension of reality.
“But now… it’s so strange,” she continued, “why can’t I detect even a trace of energy from the armor? It’s as if it suddenly transformed into an ordinary item.”
Soronna noticed that the fear clinging to her heart had completely dissipated. Simultaneously, the immense energy she had previously sensed emanating from Domu’s armor seemed to have vanished into thin air, leaving behind what felt like a mundane, powerless artifact.
“Soronna, this armor is called ‘Holy Suppression’,” Domu explained. “It suppresses my magic and converts it into combat ability. This will make it easier for us to work as mercenaries, right?”
“So that’s it,” Soronna murmured. “Then, Sister Domu, is this ‘Holy Suppression’… a Divine Artifact?”
“Hmm… I’m not entirely sure,” Domu replied, hesitating slightly before deciding to tell Soronna. “But speaking of which, if your ‘Heart of No Regrets’ were to have its seal removed, it would be on par with this ‘Holy Suppression’.”
A sudden surge of intense joy erupted within Soronna upon hearing Domu’s words. If… if she could unlock the seal, her mother would surely look upon her with new eyes! ‘Mother… the seal…’
“How can I unlock the seal? Please, tell me!” Soronna cried, grasping the armor on Domu’s arm, her plea bordering on frantic.
“So… Soronna?” Kase called out, a hint of nervousness in his voice as he watched her intense emotional state.
“Young Miss!” Os exclaimed, also watching Soronna with palpable tension.
[Mama… actually, Dove can unlock the seal on the necklace.]
Dove’s soft, sweet voice resonated in Domu’s mind.
Domu looked at Dove with a touch of surprise. Dove, in turn, tilted her head, gazing back at Domu with eyes that mirrored Domu’s own ruby-like hue.
‘Is this… some kind of message?’ Domu mused, attempting to communicate with Dove mentally. The sensation was remarkably similar to using the message function in a game.
[Yes, Mama, because we’re parent and child, you see~ But Mama, should Dove unlock the seal for Soronna?]
Dove’s voice carried a hint of uncertainty.
“What do you think, Dove?” Domu asked, feeling a bit flustered as she looked at Soronna, who was still clutching her arm with a frenzied expression.
[Based on Dove’s analysis, given Soronna’s current abilities, possessing a world-class item would pose a significant threat to her own safety. Therefore, Dove does not recommend helping Soronna unlock the seal.]
Dove suddenly responded with a remarkably serious and calm analytical tone in Domu’s mind.
“Soronna, if I find a way to unlock the seal, I will certainly help you,” Domu said, a touch of guilt coloring her gentle reassurance. “So please, try to calm down.”
“Sister Soronna~ Dove will also help think of a way! So please, don’t worry too much~” Dove chirped, walking over to Soronna and gently taking her hand, offering soft words of comfort.
Gazing at Dove, Soronna slowly came to her senses. Her ears flushed crimson in an instant, a charming contrast against her pink hair, making her look utterly adorable.
“I… I… I’m so sorry!” A wave of shame washed over Soronna, and she quickly bowed her head, apologizing profusely to Domu. “It was… it was my impatience. I truly apologize!”
“It’s quite alright~ I completely understand your desire to grow stronger, Soronna.”
“By the way, Soronna,” Domu then asked a very important question, “that detection-type ability you just used, is it common for many people in this world to possess it?”
“Eh? No, not at all,” Soronna replied. “It’s a very rare ability. To my knowledge, only my uncle in the entire world possesses this talent. Even I can only use a similar ability because I’ve become a Sage.”
“Talent, you say? And Sage, is that your profession?” Domu’s curiosity was piqued by this new information. Could this world also have a concept of professions? It truly seemed quite similar to the game world.
“Talent is an innate ability, one that grows stronger with time and personal development,” Soronna explained patiently, much like a teacher. “As for Sage, it’s not a profession but a title bestowed by the gods—a special designation granted only to chosen individuals who meet specific criteria.”
“Mama~ Dove wants a title too!” Dove whined softly, tugging on Soronna’s hand as she playfully pleaded with Domu.
“Hehe, what kind of title would Dove like?” Soronna chuckled, her eyes curving into adorable crescent moons as she smiled at Dove’s charming antics.
“Whatever Mama gives Dove, Dove will love~” Dove declared earnestly.
“Little Miss Dove~ While your Angel Mama is indeed amazing~ only gods can bestow titles, you know!” Kase blurted out, all while thinking that the Angel’s ability to change the subject was on par with Young Miss Soronna’s.
“Die!”
Following Soronna’s voice and a series of “bang… thud… splat…” sounds, Os watched his older brother lying on the ground, bleeding profusely. He silently made the sign of the cross, offering a prayer for him.

Hearing Dove’s words, Domu concealed the helmet portion of her armor, allowing her soft, snow-white hair and delicate features to emerge from the pure white suit. She then gently knelt before Dove.
Gazing at Dove, who bore such a striking resemblance to her, Domu reflected on everything that had transpired since their initial encounter. Though not much time had passed, this bond, as profound as blood itself, felt both unfamiliar and deeply intimate to Domu.
Domu slowly closed her eyes and gently pressed her forehead against Dove’s. Then, her beautiful, delicate lips parted, and she spoke to Dove with profound sincerity, word by word.
“In the name of the Valkyrie Hislim, I bestow upon Dove, my dearest, most beloved daughter—the name ‘Future’!”
Accompanied by a sacred radiance, twelve pure, flawless angelic wings unfurled behind Dove as if they were tangible, only to vanish moments later.
“Dove, you are my future~” Domu said, reopening her eyes and winking her beautiful right eye at Dove, a gentle smile gracing her lips.
“Mama~” Dove didn’t truly understand the concept of crying, but at that moment, her heart was filled with nothing but Domu’s pure, untainted love. Dove tightly hugged Domu’s neck, tears streaming down her cheeks and dampening Domu’s skin.
Ignoring the three dumbfounded onlookers, Domu felt a slight dampness on her neck. Yet, the profound satisfaction brought by her intense paternal (or maternal?) love made Domu relish the moment.
Unbeknownst to everyone, as Dove wept, her ruby-like eyes flickered with a multitude of symbols, akin to streams of computer data.
Simultaneously, a cold voice resonated within Dove’s mind.
