I unleashed the newly acquired Demonic Overlord’s Stride, and the power of the Demonic Divine Art was immediately apparent.

Akaza, Upper Moon Three, was slammed face-first into the ground, unable to resist.

I sneered at him.

“Indeed. Similar, in that I can control the life of a worm like you.”

“Don’t you dare insult Muzan-sama!”

Despite the pressure of Demonic Overlord’s Stride, Akaza lifted his head to glare at me.

“Don’t look at me without my permission.”

I pressed his head back down.

“Ugh!”

He coughed up blood, the result of resisting my power.

“You die for harming someone precious to me.”

Checking on Shinobu was my priority; I had no time to waste on him.

I decapitated Akaza with a single stroke.

His head rolled across the ground.

As his body began to disintegrate, he spoke, “I harmed her, but I didn’t kill her.

I don’t kill women.”

“So what.”

I crushed his head with my foot, just as he had done to Shinobu.

“You madman! Crushing the head of someone already dying!”

“Silence. I don’t want to hear your voice anymore.”

Akaza vanished completely.

“Tch. I doubt he heard my last words.”

After confirming Akaza’s demise, I rushed to Shinobu’s side.

Her injuries were severe, but not life-threatening.

“Let’s go, Shinobu.”

I lifted her gently and raced towards the Butterfly Mansion.

Upon arrival, I handed her over to Aoi.

“Please take care of Shinobu.”

“Yes. I’ll do my best.”

Aoi’s expression was grim as she examined Shinobu’s wounds.

Leaving Shinobu in Aoi’s care, I was consumed by self-reproach.

Had I not foreseen this possibility? I knew it could happen.
