– “Liyun, you ready?”

Xingyu pushes open the door, spotting Liyun frantically rummaging through the closet. “Picking outfits? No need. We’re going to Sidheim—transform and go.”

“Sis, Sister!”

Liyun slams the closet shut with enough force to crush someone, shouting hoarsely:

“I just remembered I’ve got something to do. I can’t go to Sidheim yet!”

“What? Why the sudden change? We agreed on today. You promised.”

“B-but something came up!”

Xingyu doesn’t get it but relents. “What is it? I’ll help. We’re sisters—let’s knock it out quick and head to Sidheim together.”

“Uh, no, this…”

‘Oh no, Sister, if the demon in the closet hears you, she’ll drag you into this mess!’ Liyun’s on the verge of tears.

As she feared, Luo You, inside the closet, is itching to act.

But, surprisingly, she holds back.

[The script’s set. Adding someone now would ruin the film’s flow, so…]

For her Nobel Prize, Luo You’s willing to pass up even the juiciest bait.

“Can’t handle this temptation? What big things can I achieve then!”

“…”

“So, uh, this thing… it’s not something you can help with, Sister.”

“What’s there to hide between us? What’s going on?”

“Ugh…”

Liyun looks poisoned, avoiding Xingyu’s gaze at all costs.

‘What do I do, what do I do, what do I do?!’

‘Someone, anyone, save me!’

As if her wish reached the heavens, Xingyu’s phone rings.

– “Hello?”

– “Lady Xingyu, it’s me, Feiyu.”

“What’s up?”

– “I’ve got urgent business and need to leave for a bit. You’re stationed near Jiuming Sea, so could you look after things while I’m gone?”

“You’ve got business too?” Xingyu frowns.

Feiyu’s the magical girl stationed at Jiuming Sea, while Xingyu guards the Sea of Realms Pass nearby. They’re close enough to coordinate.

As Jiuming Sea’s captain, Feiyu needs approval for leave, so she’s asking Xingyu.

But Xingyu’s tied up too.

“Sorry, I’m about to head out with my sis—”

“Sister’s got it!” Liyun suddenly cuts in.

Xingyu shoots her a puzzled, slightly embarrassed glance but softens at the guilt in Liyun’s eyes.

“Fine. How many days?”

– “Three… no, about five, probably.”

“Alright.”

– “Thanks.”

Feiyu hangs up.

Xingyu locks eyes with Liyun.

“Liyun, are you in some kind of trouble?” she asks softly.

Liyun’s gaze drifts. “Trouble… not exactly.

It’s a hurdle I have to clear.”

Her eyes, by the end, meet Xingyu’s with rock-solid resolve.

“Sister, you remember the dream I told you about?”

Xingyu’s face shifts. “The one about tying up Elera…”

“Sister! Shut up!” Liyun panics, rushing to cover Xingyu’s mouth.

‘Elera’s hiding in the closet! If she hears, we’re both done for!’

The sisters might end up in a tragic fate!

Xingyu, misunderstanding, quips, “You know that’s hard to say out loud, right?”

“Uh… er, ahem! Just… you know it! What I’m doing now is tied to whether I can achieve that dream!”

“Can’t you tell me?”

“I don’t want to keep relying on you like a useless burden,” Liyun says, eyes down, speaking from the heart.

At the very least, she can’t drag her sister into this.

She once said she’d suffer with her sister if they failed, but that was her immaturity talking—it doesn’t count.

“Liyun, this thing you’re doing… it’s not dangerous, right?”

“No.”

After confirming there’s no danger, Xingyu’s grim expression softens into a faint smile. “You’ve really changed, Liyun.”

“Huh?”

“Before, you’d tell me everything without hesitation. Even down to the pattern on your underwear for the day…”

“Aaah, don’t bring up the past!”

Liyun shouts to stop her.

Xingyu chuckles and asks, “How long until you can come with me to Sidheim?”

“Uh… four or five days? Three at least!”

Liyun figures Elera, true to her word, likely won’t go beyond the agreed three days.

But there’s a chance—say, if Liyun’s too captivating—that Elera might linger for another day or two.

“Alright.”

Xingyu smiles. With her sister saying this, what choice does she have?

“Liyun, I won’t call your dream unrealistic or unbefitting a magical girl. You’re my sister, so I’ll support you fully.”

“Thanks, Sister…”

“No big deal. But I gotta ask—if you do pull it off, tying Elera up at home as a pet—”

“Aaah, Sister, don’t say it!”

Liyun wails, trying to drown out Xingyu’s voice.

“No one’s here, relax,” Xingyu laughs.

“N-no, walls have ears!”

“You know how soundproof this place is.”

“But there’s someone in the closet right behind you!” Liyun screams internally.

“J-just don’t say it. Be more subtle!”

“Fine. If you succeed, will you report it to the Magical Alliance?”

“Uh, that… I’ll figure it out later. Who knows what’ll happen?”

Xingyu nods, understanding her sister’s true thoughts without needing words.

Because she feels the same.

[Why would we hand over such a prize? Report to the Alliance, and Elera’s ownership wouldn’t be ours anymore.]

The Alliance is full of magical girls wronged by Elera, eager for revenge.

Plus, Elera’s Divinity Particles are a coveted treasure—reporting her would bring a swarm of trouble.

So, just quietly keep her locked in a room at home.

Whoosh

Xingyu releases her transformation, her voluptuous big-sister form shrinking into a petite, adorable girl in a burst of light.

“Since Sidheim’s on hold, I’ll change and head out. You go handle your stuff, Liyun.”

“Got it!”

Ji Yue turns, reaching for the closet handles—

“Wait!”

A terrifying aura surges from behind as Liyun slams her hand down on Ji Yue’s.

“Sister, don’t you trust me?”

“I just want to change?!”

Ji Yue’s brain feels like it’s been hit by a cosmic explosion. Why does wanting to change mean she doesn’t trust her dearest sister?

“There’s no clothes for you in there!”

“Huh? But this is…”

“Sister, we need absolute trust.”

Liyun’s aura is too intense, and Ji Yue backs down.

“Oh, right, you just got back. You must be dirty. Go shower—I’ll pick out your clothes!”

Hold on—

“Shoo, shoo, Sister, go shower!”

Height difference wins out. Petite Ji Yue is scooped up like a child by Liyun and tossed into the bathroom.

Phew!

Safe!

Liyun wipes the cold sweat from her brow, glancing at the closed closet.

Guess what Elera’s doing in there?

Probably sniffing her and her sister’s clothes like a creep, right?

“Sister, I’m leaving your clothes outside. I’m heading out!”

“Okay, okay…”

While Ji Yue showers, Liyun flings open the closet. “Come on, Luo You, time to come out!”

Landing lightly, Luo You teases, “Your sister really trusts you, huh? Believing there’s no clothes in there without suspecting you’re hiding someone.”

“Shut up!”

“No harm in letting your sister help, you know?”

“No way! This is my problem. I’m not dragging her into it!”

Luo You briefly considers spicing things up—like training Liyun right in front of the bathroom door—but… plenty of chances for that later. For now, she’ll hold off.

“Come with me. Don’t resist.”

Luo You places a hand on Liyun, pink light spreading from her to envelop Liyun’s body.

Whoosh!

They zip off at unimaginable speed, leaving Jiuming Sea in mere seconds.

[So fast!]

Liyun feels dizzy, but oddly, there’s no air resistance. She moves freely, yet the small space around her seems to be hurtling forward, the scenery blurring in all directions.

“I forgot to mention, another magical girl’s joining us. Excited? You’re not alone!”

What’s with this buddy-bonding nonsense?

Liyun’s speechless.

Another person won’t make me happy—it’s just more awkward!

“Who is it?” Liyun asks weakly.

“Guess.”

“Not someone I know, right?!”

“Heh~ You’ll see when we get there. Oh, I suggest dropping your magical girl transformation now—unless you want to be recognized as Magical Girl Liyun.”

Liyun instantly releases her transformation.

If another magical girl saw her like this, the humiliation would never wash off.

They arrive at a location, and Luo You stops.
