Today marks the 10th day since the capture of Variant 009.

Progress on the experiment is slow.

There is still a long way to go before we can analyze the original virus strain it carries.

The wind was strong today.

William actually managed to catch a mouse in the sewers, which is fantastical.

Such small animals have become a rare sight since the apocalypse began.

That fellow William actually fed the mouse to 009.

However, to the utter astonishment of everyone, after consuming the mouse, 009 acquired its signature rodent characteristics.

A truly stunning discovery.

This led us to a very bold hypothesis: if it were to consume a certain number of humans, could it become like one of us—possessing emotions and thoughts?

If so, could 009, by devouring other, more powerful creatures, become a great asset to humanity’s survival?

Over these ten days of research, we have discovered that 009 possesses the intelligence of some canine species.

To a certain extent, it will follow some commands, but it is often erratic.

My student proposed that we try to tame it.

Honestly, that is an incredible, even groundbreaking, idea.

I feel it’s well worth a try, so we shall attempt it for the time being.

But before that, we must first develop an inhibitor for the X Virus.

Otherwise, should we lose control, the consequences would be unimaginable…

I truly adore 009’s ruby-like eyes.

Although they can appear exceptionally dangerous at times, hahaha, most of the time, those eyes are as beautiful as a work of art.

I would bet that if 009 were to become human, it would be as beautiful as one of the fabled vampiric beauties of legend.
