Not long after, a knock echoed at the teahouse door. Upon receiving permission, a servant pushed it open and stepped inside.
“These are all the Primordial Spirit Treasures available in Qibao Hall, Young Master Su. Please take a look.” Manager Liu took a gold-bound book, about an inch thick, from the servant’s hands, then handed it to Su Hanxing, his eyes gleaming with a hint of eagerness.
“Thank you for your trouble, Manager Liu.” Su Hanxing smiled as he accepted the golden book, offering a polite word of thanks.
“It is my duty,” Manager Liu stated, bowing slightly. “Please take your time browsing. You may summon me with your token once you’ve made your selection.” He then departed the teahouse, following the servant who had just entered.
“Why did he leave?” Chi Qiu had expected Manager Liu to remain, awaiting Su Hanxing’s choice, but to her surprise, he simply handed over the catalog and departed.
“Perhaps there are other guests arriving,” Su Hanxing suggested. He waved the golden book in his hand towards Chi Qiu, then asked, “Want to look through it together?”
Chi Qiu’s eyes lit up. She immediately nodded in eager agreement.
“So expensive.”
Chi Qiu leaned closer to Su Hanxing. However, her brows furrowed the moment she saw the first flying magical artifact listed in the book.
“Flying magical artifacts require extensive materials and are much more difficult to forge and craft, so their prices are naturally high. Moreover, all the flying magical artifacts in this book are Primordial Spirit Treasures, so a higher price is to be expected.” Su Hanxing turned his head, a faint smile gracing his lips as he observed Chi Qiu’s furrowed brow, and began to explain softly.
“A mere Primordial Spirit Treasure flying shuttle, and it costs six hundred thousand Spirit Pills! And it only carries one person!” Chi Qiu exclaimed. “The Ink Jade Longsword you gave me only sold for a hundred and twenty thousand.”
Chi Qiu naturally understood Su Hanxing’s explanation, yet when she saw a single-person magical artifact priced at six hundred thousand Spirit Pills, she couldn’t help but sigh repeatedly.
“While that Ink Jade Longsword was a low-grade spiritual treasure, its spiritual energy was damaged, making its price naturally lower than ordinary low-grade spiritual treasures. This is especially true for flying magical artifacts.” Su Hanxing shook his head with a smile, then turned the page of the book in his hand.
“Although this shuttle is fast, it can only carry one person, which isn’t suitable for us. It would be best to find a flying boat instead,” Su Hanxing explained to Chi Qiu.
Flying boats would undoubtedly be even more expensive than these shuttles. When Chi Qiu saw a low-grade Primordial Spirit Treasure flying boat priced at one million Spirit Pills, her mouth twitched. She immediately proposed, “Why don’t you just take me into your personal cave dwelling, and then ride a shuttle to Huangzhou?”
“Hahahahaha, I didn’t expect Little Chi to trust me so much. But you can rest assured, while these flying magical artifacts are expensive, they are nothing to me.” Su Hanxing couldn’t help but burst into laughter, gazing at Chi Qiu’s adorable, conflicted, hesitant, and visibly pained expression.
He felt both amused and touched. Entering a personal cave dwelling meant entrusting one’s life to the other party. Their previous trip to the Yinglong Tomb was largely out of necessity, but now, Chi Qiu was willing to voluntarily enter his personal cave dwelling just to save him some Spirit Pills. How could he not be moved?
With this thought, Su Hanxing reached out and ruffled Chi Qiu’s hair. His other hand wasn’t idle either; he turned to the next page.
“This flying boat is too slow. Let’s find another one.”
Nothing to me… it seems you’re much wealthier than I imagined. Chi Qiu tilted her head, trying to evade Su Hanxing’s outstretched hand, then spoke with a hint of envy.
Ultimately, she failed to dodge Su Hanxing’s large hand. His palm ruffled her hair for a good while before finally retreating.
Chi Qiu didn’t understand why Su Hanxing was so fond of ruffling her hair. Throughout the years they had lived together, Su Hanxing would often squat beside her and, when she wasn’t paying attention, reach out to playfully mess with her hair. Over time, Chi Qiu had grown accustomed to Su Hanxing’s sudden antics. Now, she would only make a perfunctory attempt to dodge. If she couldn’t, she would simply let him ruffle her hair, knowing he wouldn’t do it for too long anyway.
“Most of my Spirit Pills come from selling the rare treasures and spiritual plants I collected during my mountain expeditions. Just from our last trip to the Yinglong Tomb, I gained at least two million Spirit Pills.” Su Hanxing, seeing Chi Qiu’s envious expression, chuckled.
Upon hearing this, Chi Qiu nodded gently. Even she had acquired treasures worth over a million Spirit Pills during the last Yinglong Tomb expedition, let alone the far more powerful Su Hanxing.
“How about this flying boat? The Voidbreaker Skiff, a mid-grade Primordial Spirit Treasure.” Chi Qiu extended her hand, pointing to the Voidbreaker Skiff.
It was a slender, silver-gray flying boat. Its speed even surpassed many high-grade Primordial Spirit Treasure flying boats. However, its drawback was equally obvious: its small size. This Voidbreaker Skiff measured about four zhang long and one zhang wide, making it dozens of times smaller than other flying boats. Consequently, despite being a mid-grade Primordial Spirit Treasure, its price was significantly lower, selling for only one million six hundred thousand Spirit Pills.
“Let me see…” Su Hanxing nodded slightly upon hearing Chi Qiu’s words. He then followed the direction of her finger, carefully reading the description of the Voidbreaker Skiff in the Qibao Hall catalog.
“It contains a wisp of Qianyu Force… this is truly excellent.” After reading those few lines of small print, Su Hanxing’s eyes immediately gleamed with satisfaction.
The Voidbreaker Skiff was incredibly fast, and its defensive capabilities were impressive. When infused with a large amount of true qi, it could even use the Qianyu Force within to briefly traverse space, perfectly matching the flying magical artifact Su Hanxing desired.
As for the flying boat being too small… well, only he and Chi Qiu would be riding it together. Room for two was sufficient.
“It is indeed excellent. Let’s choose this one.” Su Hanxing closed the book with satisfaction, smiling at Chi Qiu.
“You’re not looking at anything else?” Chi Qiu was astonished that Su Hanxing had so simply decided to purchase the Voidbreaker Skiff, and she immediately asked, surprised.
“There’s no need. This one is the most suitable for us. Little Chi, your judgment is truly excellent.” Su Hanxing shook his head, then retrieved a golden token from his embrace and infused it with his true qi.
Once the true qi entered the token, a faint, obscure ripple instantly shot out from it, quickly vanishing from sight. Less than ten breaths later, the teahouse door was pushed open. Manager Liu, his face flushed with enthusiasm, entered the teahouse, bowed slightly, and asked, “Have our two esteemed guests made their selection?”
Su Hanxing nodded. He then returned the golden book to Manager Liu and said, “We’ll take the Voidbreaker Skiff listed in here.”
Manager Liu nodded repeatedly upon hearing Su Hanxing’s words. He then turned sideways, extended his hand, and said with a hearty voice, “Please follow me. I will lead you two to retrieve the Voidbreaker Skiff.”
Su Hanxing and Chi Qiu exchanged a glance. They then followed Manager Liu, departing the teahouse.
They were led into a slightly larger room. In the center of the room rested a slender, silver-gray flying boat.
“This is the Voidbreaker Skiff, please take a look, esteemed guests.”
The flying boat featured sharp lines, its entire body forged from extremely precious Profound Silver, resulting in an incredibly smooth surface that occasionally shimmered with silver light.
What a magnificent vessel.
The instant Su Hanxing saw the Voidbreaker Skiff, he was captivated. He casually touched its hull, his spiritual sense slowly permeating it, and quickly located a wisp of incredibly vibrant Qianyu Force hidden within the flying boat.
“Here are the Spirit Pills, Manager Liu. Please count them.”
After discovering the Qianyu Force within, Su Hanxing nodded in satisfaction. He retrieved a white jade gourd from his storage magical artifact and tossed it to Manager Liu.
Manager Liu caught the gourd, and with a sweep of his spiritual sense, he quickly counted the Spirit Pills inside. After confirming the full amount, a broad smile spread across his face as he stepped forward. “Young Master Su truly has an extraordinary hand,” he said. “Once I remove the restrictions on the flying boat, you may claim the Voidbreaker Skiff as your own.”
With that, Manager Liu took out a token from his storage magical artifact. He then channeled his true qi into the token and pressed it against the flying boat. A ripple of golden light spread outwards. The layers of imperceptible restrictions on the Voidbreaker Skiff swiftly dissolved, and a profound aura from the flying boat soon permeated the entire room.
Su Hanxing glanced at Chi Qiu, whose face was alight with anticipation. Then, under her urging gaze, he cut his finger and imprinted his blood, spiritual sense, and true qi onto the Voidbreaker Skiff.
A moment later, Su Hanxing raised his hand and waved gently. The Voidbreaker Skiff flashed with silver light before being absorbed into his storage magical artifact, clearly indicating a successful master-bond.
“Since we have acquired this spiritual treasure, we shall not trouble you further. Farewell.” After putting away the Voidbreaker Skiff, Su Hanxing looked at Manager Liu, who was still waiting nearby, and cupped his hands in a respectful bow.
Upon hearing Su Hanxing’s words, Chi Qiu quickly moved closer to him, preparing to leave the room together.
“I shall escort you both.” Manager Liu moved to follow them.
“There’s no need to trouble yourself with a lengthy escort.” Su Hanxing smiled and politely declined. He then turned and exited the room with Chi Qiu.
