<What do you mean by small?>
The Water God tensed slightly as he asked for clarification.
Fortunately, it wasn’t anything inappropriate.
“I’m talking about your worth. It’s truly insignificant.”
Seyul was referring to their mentality, not their physical form.
[Ah, so that’s what it meant.]
[I panicked for a second when I heard ‘small.’]
[Why?]
[Feeling guilty, huh?]
[Honestly, I don’t think any guy here didn’t flinch at that.]
[Not guilty, but the way she said it with such disdain…]
[She’d probably be really good at verbally humiliating people too.]
The viewers, relieved that there was no hidden meaning, let out a collective sigh.
The Water God and Crusher felt the same.
They discreetly patted their chests in relief before responding with irritation.
<You dare say my worth is small?>
“And do you think it’s big?”
Seyul’s voice was cold.
Though she was still floating on the water, her attitude made it seem as if she were looking down on them.
“A so-called god, acting so petty. Is this really how you take revenge?”
<You committed blasphemy first!>
The Water God snapped back indignantly, but
“When did I ever blaspheme? Sure, I’ve spoken harshly to you gods, but I don’t recall ever committing blasphemy.
‘”I had a reason for telling you to get lost.”
“I clearly told you that I’d handle my own matters, so stay out of it. ”
“But you kept interfering, so how could you expect me to be polite?”
Seyul had never blasphemed.
She only lashed out because they wouldn’t stop meddling.
If they had just left her alone, she wouldn’t have had any reason to speak harshly.
[That makes sense.]
[They said they wouldn’t interfere and then kept showing up.]
[I’d be pissed too.]
[Feels like dealing with a stalker.]
Seyul’s explanation was reasonable enough that the viewers found themselves nodding along.
“And you, what did you guys say? ”
“That you can’t interfere with the human world directly, so you grant us power instead, right?”
” But what’s this? You got mad, so you interfered by giving power to an enemy?”
It was a disgraceful act that completely contradicted the rules the gods themselves had set.
<I-It’s not a violation as long as I don’t act personally.>
The Water God, clearly flustered, tried to justify himself by claiming that granting power wasn’t direct interference.
“You shouldn’t be celebrating just because you got stronger.”
Seyul ignored him, as if he wasn’t worth addressing, and turned her sharp words toward Crusher instead.
“You and that thing the gods are supposed to be enemies, aren’t you? Gods side with humans who fight monsters, so there’s no way your relationship with them is good.”
An enemy just gave him power, yet he was acting like it was a good thing.
Did he have a brain or not?
Seyul coldly pointed out the absurdity of his situation, but
“So what?”
Crusher remained unfazed.
“What does it matter if we’re enemies? I’ve been given magnificent power!”
“…Even if the cost of that power is slaughtering your own kind?”
“And? They called me a lowly sea creature, a worthless fool who is powerless on land. ”
“I don’t care about those who scorn me.”
” Monsters live by the law of strength! I’d rather be an enemy and slaughter them than cling to some pathetic sense of camaraderie!”
In his giant form, Crusher’s rage and resentment boiled over.
The Mermen race had always been looked down upon among monsters.
They were considered weak, their aquatic nature making them inconvenient allies.
Crusher had suffered the same scorn.
Desperate for power, he refused to let go of the opportunity now in his grasp.
“God, what happens if I kill her?”
Crusher turned to the Water God, eyes gleaming.
“If I take her down, will you make me even stronger?”
<That depends on your results.>
“Understood.”
A silent contract for murder was formed.
With nothing more to say, Crusher raised his massive hand.
His webbed fingers stretched toward the water’s surface, where Seyul floated.
With terrifying force, he struck.
The impact sent a massive shockwave through the river.
Water erupted into the sky, waves surging outward in chaos.
A moment later
There was nothing where Seyul had been.
[Where did she go?]
[Did he get her?]
[She didn’t just get hit and go down, right?]
The viewers panicked at Seyul’s sudden disappearance.
“Where are you?!”
“You rat bastard!”
Crusher had suffered enough at Seyul’s hands.
But unlike him, the Water God, who had observed Seyul’s skills through divine insight,
immediately realized that she hadn’t been hit she had simply vanished.
“Aaargh!”
Moments later, a searing pain shot through Crusher’s leg.
Seyul had plunged a spear into it from underwater.
At some point, she had dived beneath the surface, maneuvering swiftly to stab his lower body.
“You monster!”
Crusher trembled with fury.
In a normal situation, he would have dived in and fought back.
But after being completely overwhelmed by Seyul in the water earlier, he hesitated.
Boom! Splash!
Instead, he wildly smacked the water with his massive hands.
Twisting his body violently, he generated turbulent waves, creating a scene akin to a raging whale.
With such a massive body thrashing about, nothing in the vicinity could hope to remain intact.
Crusher knew this well and deliberately unleashed chaotic movements to prevent Seyul from approaching.
However
“Aaagh!”
His efforts were in vain.
A sharp pain suddenly erupted from his back.
<Behind you!>
The Water God hastily pointed out.
At some point, Seyul had climbed onto his back and stabbed her spear into him.
“Get off me!”
Crusher, horrified, desperately tried to shake her off.
At first, he reached behind with his hands, but Seyul effortlessly dodged, staying just out of reach.
So Crusher chose a different approach
Like a crazed stallion, he began thrashing and charging through the river at full speed.
<How’s that?>
As Seyul clung to the spear lodged in his back, the Water God spoke to her in a taunting tone.
<Even you won’t be able to do much in this situation.>
Taking advantage of the moment, he attempted to persuade her.
<If you apologize and swear loyalty to us, we might just let you live.>
“Don’t make me laugh.”
Seyul scoffed coldly.
“Stop trying your pathetic tricks. It’s disgusting.”
<You insolent!>
“Did you think threats would make me obey? I’d rather die than stoop to that.”
She shouted fiercely, and the Water God fell silent.
<Crusher, instead of running around aimlessly, try slamming your back into the water’s surface!>
Rather than argue further, he offered Crusher a more efficient way to deal with Seyul.
If someone was clinging to his back, the best solution was to press them against the ground or, in this case, the water’s surface.
Even though water wasn’t as solid as land, the force of impact would still be significant.
Crusher followed the instruction immediately.
As expected, a massive shockwave rippled through the river, creating chaos.
“She dodged.”
Had she taken the hit directly, she might have been killed instantly.
But Seyul had already leapt to another spot.
Amidst the turmoil, she stood perfectly unharmed.
Both Crusher and the Water God glared at her in frustration.
“Just give up and die already.”
” No matter how hard you struggle, your pathetic strength is no match for my colossal power. My victory is already decided!”
Crusher boasted, towering over her.
‘That’s just what you think.’
Seyul found his confidence laughable.
‘You think this is the first time I’ve fought something big?’
Compared to the monstrous foes she had faced in another world, this was nothing.
She had battled dragons beings just as massive as Crusher and triumphed every time.
This wasn’t a crisis at all.
And even if it were, she had already made up her mind.
She would never submit to threats.
All she had to do was break through.
“I’ll shatter you to pieces!”
Crusher reached for her again.
This time, Seyul didn’t dodge.
Just as his massive hand descended, she leapt onto it instead.
[Whoa!]
[When did she get up there?!]
As Seyul performed the astonishing feat of leaping onto the massive hand rushing toward her, the chat exploded with shocked reactions.
She dashed forward, climbing up Crusher’s arm without hesitation.
Crusher, stunned, tried to swat her away with his other hand, but it was futile.
Seyul was simply faster than his massive yet sluggish movements.
[When did she get up there again?!]
[Is this mountain climbing?!]
[This feels like a kaiju movie!]
[The moment the enemy got huge, the game genre completely changed.]
[Seyul and the Colossus.]
[Call of Cthulhu: The Wrath of Dagon.]
[No matter the genre, she fights like a beast!]
By the time she reached his shoulder, the audience was in awe, caught between amazement and admiration.
‘Now!’
Seyul wasted no time.
She charged toward Crusher’s head and thrust her spear.
The weapon, inherited from Gérard, boasted incredible cutting power.
To ensure the attack landed, she poured in a surge of mana.
Unlike her previous, duller spear, this one easily tore through flesh and muscle.
“Aaaaagh!!”
Crusher let out a bloodcurdling scream.
The spear had pierced straight through his skull, sinking deep into his brain.
“I… I can’t believe this…”
With those final words, he slowly began to sink.
<Damn it.>
The Water God muttered in frustration, watching helplessly as the mighty Crusher fell despite all the power bestowed upon him.
