In the morning, sunlight streamed through the slightly ajar curtains, falling directly upon me.
I shifted, attempting to escape the annoying glare. I rolled once, but it wasn’t enough, so I rolled again.
Thump—
This final roll indeed helped me evade the direct sunlight, but it also sent me tumbling off the bed.
My eyes snapped open, startled by the sight of only bare walls surrounding me.
“Was I kidnapped?!” No, that couldn’t be right.
‘I vaguely recalled tossing all my furniture into my personal spatial dimension yesterday. Oh, right.’
With a casual flick, I stowed the bed into my independent space. A glance at the time revealed it was 8:30 AM.
Plenty of time. I leisurely completed my morning routine before opening the door.
The God Realm, here I come.
I imagined my landlord’s expression upon seeing my empty apartment later—it must have been priceless, though I wouldn’t be there to witness it.
Learning from my past mistake, I made sure to walk to a main road and hail a taxi this time.
After all, I had diligently researched how to hail a taxi online yesterday. A deity couldn’t possibly stumble in the same place twice.
After a bumpy ride, we finally arrived at the station entrance. It had been four years since my last visit, and the changes were immense.
The plaza outside the station had expanded significantly, the formerly single-story station now boasted two floors, and the grimy old building had been transformed into a pristine structure.
“Whew, so many people,” I murmured from my spot in a corner of the plaza.
A hand suddenly smacked the top of my head. “What are you spacing out for? Let’s go.”
I glared, gritting my teeth at the culprit who had reduced me to this state. ‘Once I’ve familiarized myself with the God Realm, I’ll definitely make her suffer,’ I vowed internally.
I envisioned her prostrate on the ground, begging for mercy.
With a smug expression, I would say, “Oh dear, the punishment has already been inscribed. It can’t be changed now, can it? What ever shall we do?”
The thought instantly brightened my mood.
“What are you grinning foolishly about? Catch up,” she called out impatiently, turning her head.
I wiped the smile from my face. “Hmph, I won’t bother arguing with you.” In my mind’s eye, I could almost see her rolling on the ground, pleading for forgiveness.
I followed her into the station, through security, and directly towards the second floor. As I was still looking around, I hurried to keep pace.
Unlike the first floor, the second floor felt considerably more spacious. Rows of seats filled the area, devoid of security checkpoints or ticket counters.
The walls were entirely constructed of one-way transparent glass, creating an illusion of vastness.
It was 9:48 AM. The God’s Agent led me to a seat, where we waited for seven minutes.
At 9:55 AM, the station announcement echoed.
“It is now 9:55 AM. Train SJ5808456856 to the God Realm has arrived. Departure time is exactly 10:00 AM. This is a repeat announcement…”
“What in the world?!” I stared at the reactions of the people around me. Not a single one seemed concerned; they acted as if this were the most ordinary occurrence.
Even with my limited common sense, I knew this was far from normal. Just then, the God’s Agent spoke.
“I’ve applied a minor divine spell of cognitive interference to this station. Everyone here will perceive this as completely normal, nothing out of the ordinary. They’ll forget all about it once they leave the station.”
I wiped a bead of cold sweat from my forehead. “Couldn’t you just create a portal in some secluded, uninhabited place?”
She looked somewhat surprised. “I thought this way you’d have more of a ‘travel’ experience?”
I felt a waterfall of sweat cascade down my back. ‘You guys in the God Realm really know how to have fun.’
Without further delay, she led me directly to a ticket gate. The station staff didn’t stop us, and by this point, I was beyond complaining.
A train, appearing utterly, utterly, utterly ordinary, was parked there. Its only distinguishing feature was a sign that read: Origin: Earth, South City Station — Destination: God Realm.
‘Heh heh, what a twisted sense of humor.’
Stepping inside, I finally understood the meaning of “contrast moe.” The interior was at least ten times larger than the exterior, with only eight seats spread across the vast carriage.
Everything gleamed with gold and sparkled brightly, adorned with intricate bas-reliefs of various totems. “How utterly extravagant,” I remarked.
The God’s Agent, acting as both guide and commentator, explained, “The immense space here is due to spatial extension, expanding a confined area. It’s nothing grand, just a minor trick.”
“You call it extravagant? We only need to create one such train, then endlessly ‘Ctrl+C’ and ‘Ctrl+V’ it. The overall cost is definitely cheaper than your trains.”
I paused, realizing the truth. ‘Right, they’re gods.’
I found a seat and settled down. She then handed me a large white book.
I took it, gazing at her with a puzzled expression. This was the same book she had used to record my information, wasn’t it? Why was she giving it to me? I had initially assumed it was a notebook, but it turned out to be a proper book.
“This book now belongs to you,” she said, handing it over. “It contains most divine arts, from basic to advanced, along with some notes and annotations from its previous owner.”
For some reason, I caught a flicker of sadness in her eyes.
“What is this book called?” I asked, looking at her.
She froze, as if the question had never occurred to her. “It’s called, called… Ah, yes, it’s called the Moe God Grimoire.”
My face darkened. ‘She definitely just made that up, didn’t she? Don’t try to fool me, how perfunctory!’
Yet, as I touched the book, I felt a profound, weighty texture, as though it carried the accumulation of countless ages. It seemed to have once borne a significant burden.
However, after a short while, the book gradually grew lighter, and its color shifted from white to pink.
!!!!!!!!
I looked up at the God’s Agent.
She raised an eyebrow. “This is quite normal. It has recognized you as its master. Its overall appearance and feel are determined by its owner’s state of mind.”
“Oh, I see!” I nodded, then instantly bristled like an enraged cat. “What the hell! How could my state of mind be pink? It should definitely be black!”
