Tal’s eyes darkened—he knew he’d met a true monster.
No more holding back.
“Summon! Ironhide Rhino! Flame Drake!”
His hands wove an even more intricate seal, voice low and fierce.
Two blinding columns of light erupted—
First, a Level 45 Ironhide Rhino—a mountain of muscle and armor, its hide layered with titanium-reinforced plating.
Then—
a dragon’s roar shook the deck.
The Flame Drake emerged—over three meters long, its crimson scales radiating scorching heat, massive wings unfurling, fiery slit-pupils blazing with primal fury.
Sparks hissed with every breath.
And it was Level 51.
Gasps ripped across the deck.
Dragonkind—the word alone triggered ancestral terror.
“Sis—IT’S A REAL DRAGON!”
Leán’s voice cracked—this was his first encounter with living dragonkind.
No book could capture this suffocating dread.
Even the usually bold boy wanted to flee.
Brenna’s face drained of color, her legs trembling beneath her.
So… it’s a Flame Drake?
Black merely raised an eyebrow.
The air had grown noticeably hotter.
Flame Drakes were common lower-tier fire dragons—the Sea Lion Dragon of the draconic world.
Still—any dragon surpassed ordinary summons in ferocity.
High-Tier Summoners like Tal could command up to four summons, including lower-tier dragon species.
But Tal wasn’t stopping at mere summoning.
“Soulbind Fusion!!”
High-Tier Summoner Divine Skill: Soulbind Fusion!
Chanting fiercely, Tal raised his staff—golden divine light engulfed the Ironhide Rhino and Flame Drake.
Their bodies twisted, merged, flesh and steel reforming into something monstrous.
The result?
A colossal fusion beast—a walking fortress of molten steel and dragonfire.
Its hide: dark-red metallic scales.
Its back: a volcanic eruption vent, glowing with lava-core heat.
Its tail: a spiked wrecking ball, each step scorching black craters into the deck.
Its aura? Level 55.
The Molten Cataclysm Beast roared—a sound so deafening it shook the ship to its keel.
Brenna and Leán paled to death.
How can Cousin Black survive this?!
Brenna clasped her hands, praying silently.
Jessy, emboldened, sneered:
“Scared now, brat?
This is a Level 55 Molten Cataclysm Beast!
Begging won’t save you!”
Molten Cataclysm Beast?
Black’s eyes narrowed, then lit with curiosity.
Unlike other classes,Summoners’ divine skills only fused summons—the difference lay in fusion quality.
This beast, empowered by Soulbind Fusion, was far stronger than his Abyssal Wyrm.
Not to be underestimated.
Yet—Black wasn’t afraid.
In fact—excitement flickered in his eyes.
Time to test Jörmungandr’s might.
To everyone’s confusion,he tossed the Overlord Spear aside.
“You surrendering?!” Jessy laughed.
“TOO LATE! YOU’RE DEAD!”
But Black just smiled—and clenched his fist.
“Summon!”
No grand incantation.
No blinding light.
Only a deep, ancient pressure—cold, suffocating, primordial—as if the abyss itself had exhaled.
A sapphire-blue summoning circle bloomed beneath his feet.
Then—a serpentine blue silhouette coiled upward!
“ROOOOAAAAAR!!!”
Even before fully formed, the world trembled.
Tal—a High-Tier Summoner—suddenly felt it.
His Level 55 Molten Cataclysm Beast was shaking.
Its head—once proud—bowed low,body crouching in submission.
“Impossible…”
Tal doubted his senses.
Then—the summon fully emerged.
A ten-meter-long serpentine dragon, scales glittering like deep-sea sapphire,a single horn curving from its brow,ice-blue eyes void of all emotion.
Mist and freezing aura swirled around it—a sovereign of water incarnate.
Whimper…
The Molten Cataclysm Beast collapsed to its knees, whining like a whipped pup.
Holy—my mana’s GONE!
Black’s mind reeled—summoning Jörmungandr had drained 80% of his spirit energy!
Twice the cost of summoning two sea dragons!
He felt hollow, exhausted—at Level 19, he couldn’t have summoned it at all.
Note to self: only use this in emergencies.
But—why does it look so different?
This wasn’t the mountainous, winged horror he’d slain.
Ah—must be its Level 40, pre-evolved form.
Good. Less recognizable.
He’d worried people might identify Jörmungandr—now, it just looked like a mysterious sea serpent.
But the crowd wasn’t staring at the beast—
they were staring at Black.
“Summoning… SKILL?!”
Brenna shrieked, mind short-circuiting.
“Cousin’s a PIRATE! How can he use Summoner abilities?!”
Everyone was stunned—Jessy, Tal, the thugs—a pirate using core Summoner class skills?
That defied all logic!
And the creature itself—not a spirit beast, not a known dragon—just a mysterious, regal serpent radiating ancient power.
“What… IS this thing?!”
Tal’s face drained of blood.
He now knew—it wasn’t a hallucination.
His fusion beast was terrified—not by power, but by innate draconic hierarchy.
A life-form’s instinctive submission to a greater sovereign.
Panic seized him.
“No more waiting!”
He screamed an order—
“STEELFLAME DELUGE!”
The Molten Cataclysm Beast, though trembling, obeyed its master.
Its maw gaped wide—lava churned in its chest, scales glowing molten gold.
Heat spiked—steam exploded from the deck.
A cataclysmic fireball gathered in its throat—then—
KRA-KOOOM!
A massive beam of crimson energy—wide as a house, hot enough to melt steel—blasted toward Black and his serpent!
