Diana’s facial features twisted.
She knew she had just spread rumors, but not all liars get condemned.
At least, no one here knew Mo Yue.
No matter what Diana said, she believed she wouldn’t be held accountable.
However, Collins’ sudden appearance made her feel awkward.
Collins’ magical prowess was too great.
With just one move, a second-tier magic spell—an instant Binding Spell—strongly reminded Diana of his strength.
“You just said Mo Yue cheated?”
Diana hesitated, wondering whether to back down.
After all, she was a girl.
If she just lowered her head and said a few soft words, maybe things would blow over.
But while she thought this way, the people behind her did not.
Useless teammates exist in every situation.
Someone behind Diana stepped out, pointing at Mo Yue who was hiding behind Collins, and said:
“This b*tch just figured out a first-tier magic equation a week ago—how could she possibly have learned to use it in just one week?”
“She must have cheated.”
“Exactly, it has to be cheating.”
“Examiner, please take a good look—this woman used cheating to get here. How can someone like her be allowed into Hawk Academy?”
Diana’s face turned a bit pale.
Fortunately, her heavy makeup covered up her embarrassment.
She swore that once she got out of this safely, she would cut ties with those girls behind her.
Each one as dumb as pigs.
Do they not know when to advance and when to retreat?
Doing this now just shifts the blame onto the examiner!
As Collins turned his gaze, the examiner instantly became the center of everyone’s attention again.
Anger welled up in the examiner’s heart.
He had already decided—no matter what, those girls who stirred up trouble would absolutely not be admitted to Hawk Academy.
Not that they had the capability to get in, anyway.
“Perhaps there’s been a misunderstanding.”
Collins amplified his voice with his mental power, shifting everyone’s attention away from the examiner and onto himself.
He pulled a silver clover-shaped badge from his pocket.
A unique magical wave spread out.
The examiner was startled and exclaimed, “You—you’re an Intermediate Mage?”
The examiner himself was only a low third-tier magician.
“Mo Yue is my younger sister.”
“She did lack magical training in the past.”
“But I happened to be free recently, so I coached her.”
“It’s just first-tier Holy Light. With some practice, not to mention a week, I could teach it to her in a day.”
A ball of light flew from Collins’ hand.
Then another.
Then a third.
Then a fourth.
The light balls didn’t dissipate—they hovered around him, pulsing with magical energy in a steady rhythm.
The examiner opened his mouth in astonishment.
Just this multi-cast technique and control over multiple low-tier elemental affinities was enough to make him surrender in admiration.
But more than that, the examiner realized he had something more important to do.
“So… um… Mr. Brother of Student Mo Yue, would you be interested in coming to Hawk Academy yourself?”
“Of course, with your status, tuition is free. Scholarships and subsidies are all negotiable.”
“We could even reserve a personal magical lab just for you.”
Those with talent always enjoy privileges.
Even with such over-the-top enrollment conditions, no one around found it strange.
No one was surprised by how Collins was being treated.
“Sorry, I already have a school in mind.”
The examiner showed a disappointed expression.
Makes sense.
A genius who became an Intermediate Mage barely older than Mo Yue probably had long been recruited by other magical schools.
Collins turned to Diana.
“As an Intermediate Mage, I vouch that my sister learned Holy Light under my guidance.”
“There was absolutely no cheating involved.”
“Now, do you believe it?”
For Mo Yue, getting revenge wasn’t the important part.
What mattered was proving her strength in front of others.
These disgusting classmates were irrelevant.
What mattered were the students who might attend the same school or class in the future.
Only if they believed she got in with her own abilities would she escape the stigma of favoritism.
More important than revenge—was clarification.
Mo Yue needed a peaceful learning environment.
Diana’s eyes darted around.
The examiner checked the time and calculated how many more examinees were left.
He realized this couldn’t go on.
So he spoke up.
“I can also use my magic certification to guarantee that Miss Mo Yue did not cheat when using magic in front of me.”
“What you’re doing is pure slander.”
“People of such poor character—our Hawk Academy will definitely not accept.”
“But considering you’re still kids, I won’t pursue this any further. Now, leave.”
Collins glanced at the examiner.
The examiner gave him an apologetic look and passed along a Whisper Spell.
“Let them go. When Mo Yue enrolls, I’ll place her in a good class.”
Collins released the Binding Spell on Aiya.
The moment Aiya could move, she opened her mouth.
There was no way Diana would let this idiot teammate ruin another opportunity.
She slapped her hand over Aiya’s mouth and led the group out.
But before leaving, several girls gave Mo Yue vicious glares.
Collins stepped in front of Mo Yue and stared them all down with a warning glare.
The girls’ eyes dropped in defeat.
“Ahem, alright then.”
“Since all misunderstandings have been resolved, let’s continue with the exam.”
The examiner brought all the candidates’ attention back to himself.
The fairly large space resumed its repetitive exam routine.
