Chapter 13: Sister and Sister.

The day after finishing the AGP exploration.

I woke up earlier than usual for some reason, checked the time, and casually opened my contacts app.

【Seoha Noona】

Scrolling down quickly, I came across a somewhat unfamiliar name.

The only person I had in my contacts with the title “noona” was my real sister, so seeing a woman’s name in such a

barren place felt like a flower blooming in a wasteland.

That’s right. The person was none other than my fan, Seoha Noona, whom I had met at AGP yesterday.

I still remember her self-deprecating words when she told me it was too cowardly to share her contact without giving

me her name, and how she personally saved her name on my phone.

I had thought at the time that she was beautiful, both in name and appearance.

[Seoha Noona, did you get home safely?]

【I did! How about you, noona?】

【Seoha Noona – I did too ᄒᄒ】

【Seoha Noona – Thanks to you, today was really fun!】

【I – It was my pleasure!】

To confirm whether this was a dream or not, I checked the last message we had shared when I got home yesterday.

There was a warm and affectionate message from Seoha Noona that radiated kindness.

This isn’t a dream. I’m still dazed. I can’t believe I exchanged contact information with such a beautiful woman.

Of course, she must have asked for my contact out of interest as a fan, but as a guy, it’s hard not to feel a strange

sentiment. Especially if the other person is a rare beauty.

Slap!

“…Get a grip and start cleaning.”

Before I could indulge in useless thoughts, I slapped myself to wake up.

You’re not someone you can fantasize about, Kang Wooju. Wake up and do what needs to be done.

There’s so much to do for the New Year’s cleaning today. Although the New Year was long ago.

“Ugh.”

Letting out a grunt like an old man, I got up from bed and headed straight to the living room.

As I pushed aside the curtains I had closed last night, I squinted at the sunlight streaming in through the window.

Ugh, I really must be nocturnal.

“Hmm…”

While scanning the living room and pondering where to start cleaning, I decided to first tackle the large cat tower by

the window.

Usually, I’d just leave it alone out of laziness, but since it’s a big cleaning, I needed to move the large items and clear

away the dust that had accumulated underneath.

Still unconsciously glancing at the chat screen with Seoha Noona, I momentarily tossed my phone onto the sofa and

grabbed the cat tower.

“Uyu, just wait a bit. I’ll put it back later.”

“Meow….”

Just as I was about to move the cat tower, our house lord, Uyu, let out a cry, but there was nothing I could do.

It’s a forced demolition, dear customer.

With a leap, the cat tower shook violently, and Uyu jumped onto the small sofa in the living room. I’d have to soothe

him later with some treats.

Wooo.

Only after clearing away the large furniture and items did I bring the vacuum cleaner from the living room to the

rooms and start the serious cleaning.

Although I often cleaned, the dust that had accumulated in hidden places, like under the furniture, was never going

to be resolved, so today there was a real abundance of dust. Maybe I should have worn a mask.

Beep beep beep.

“…Huh?”

“…Huh?”

Just as I was pondering, I suddenly heard the sound of someone entering the door lock from the entrance.

What’s this? There shouldn’t be anyone coming over.

The only person who came to mind was my only friend, but he had recently been dragged back to his hometown, so

he wouldn’t be in Seoul right now. Then who could it be?

Surely it’s not a burglar, I thought, and just then, as if to prove that the password had been entered correctly, the

door opened with a beeping sound.

The person who appeared beyond the door was none other than,

“Wooju, I’m here!”

“……”

My older sister, Kang Yeonju.

Kang Yeonju, 26 years old.

She is my biological sister, four years older than me, who has utilized her outstanding looks and tall stature since

childhood to become a model.

I don’t know much about that field, but I’ve heard she frequently appears in fashion magazines and shows, and she’s

quite famous.

Thanks to that, she is our family’s reliable eldest daughter, who often boasts about her accomplishments whenever

my parents go somewhere.

Due to our age difference, when I was a high school student, my sister, having already become an adult, often helped

me with pocket money and various other things.

So I’m really grateful to her… but at the same time, it feels a bit awkward.

For good reason,

“Come here, little brother! Let’s hug!”

It’s embarrassing to say this out loud, but my sister has what people in subcultures might call a “bro-complex.”

Of course, it doesn’t mean anything weird. She’s just a bit overboard in caring for and loving me, which can feel quite

burdensome when we meet.

Seriously, given our ages, why does she just jump in for a hug?

“How have you been? I haven’t been able to come by often because I’ve been busy. I’m sorry.”

I shook my head at my sister, who wore a sheepish smile.

It’s unreasonable to expect such things from someone who spends more time abroad than in Korea.

So I’ve been returning all the money she sends me as pocket money. She says it’s okay to just take it and save it for

later, but how could I accept that?

“Why did you come all this way when you’re busy with work? Don’t worry, I’m managing fine on my own.”

“Of course, I’d be worried. You quit university less than six months after starting, and suddenly declared you’d live alone.”

That’s a fair point.

Well, if I were in her shoes, I’d be worried enough to check on a reckless younger brother living alone.

“Still, I’m glad to see you’re doing well enough to clean for the New Year. It eases my mind a bit.”

“That’s a relief. By the way, what brought you to Korea? How’s work?”

The last time I heard from my sister, she was in Italy, so I asked curiously. She responded with a bright smile and a

peace sign.

“I finished up quickly this time. I wanted to come back in time for the New Year, but that turned out to be difficult.”

“Oh, really?”

Now that I think about it, my sister always tried to be in Korea for the New Year.

I hadn’t consciously noticed, but maybe she has some kind of rule about spending New Year’s in her home country

out of nostalgia.

Thinking about it made me feel a little sad. Life abroad can’t be easy.

“By the way, I heard your broadcasts are doing well these days? Mom is really happy about it.”

“Doing well is a bit of an exaggeration; it’s just okay.”

“Still, I heard you got an advertisement deal? That’s a sign of success, isn’t it?”

“Did Mom tell you that?”

I was surprised at how much she had shared, and I couldn’t help but chuckle.

In the meantime, my sister was happily brushing her chest as if it were her own achievement. She always showed an

excessive amount of concern for me.

“Well, since you’re here, do you want to help me clean? What should we start with?”

“What kind of guest would do the cleaning? Just play with Uyu over there.”

“Oh, I almost forgot about Uyu!”

Only then did my sister realize Uyu’s presence, and she walked over to the fluffy white creature, extending her hand

affectionately.

“LFOF.”

After looking up at my sister for a moment, Uyu obediently approached and settled down on her lap, curling up into a round ball.

As expected of our little master, he acted as if he didn’t care that a guest had arrived.

“Have you had lunch? How about we go out to eat together after we finish cleaning?”

“That sounds good! What do you want to eat?”

Since she had just returned from abroad, I thought I should at least feed her before she left. When I asked for her

request, she shook her finger as if to say, “What a silly question.”

“Of course, we should eat what my little brother wants. What should it be? Beef?”

“That works too.”

Knowing my sister had a bit of a carnivorous side, I nodded. Though she said that, she was probably suggesting it

because she wanted it herself.

But seeing her crave meat made it seem like her diet period had come to an end. Guess I’d better fuel her up a bit.

But first, I need to finish cleaning.

“I’ll be done soon. If you’re bored, you can play on the computer or something.”

“I’m fine. I haven’t been gaming much these days.”

It seems my sister, who was a bit of a gamer, has become busy with her modeling work and has naturally drifted

away from gaming.

When we were younger, I used to learn how to play games from her. It feels a bit nostalgic.

“Uyu, play with your sister. Good boy.”

“Meow.”

As I reminisced about those suddenly popping memories, my sister dove onto the sofa and began to play with Uyu

enthusiastically, just as I had requested.

I guess I’ll finish up the cleaning in the meantime.

“Yikes!? W-Wooju!”

“……?”

Just as I turned to start the vacuum cleaner again, my sister let out a scream from behind me.

Knowing she was particularly weak against bugs, I thought maybe a cockroach had appeared or something. So I

turned my head to check, and there she was,

“Who is this Seo-ha noona? Did my little brother finally get a girlfriend!?”

“…Ah.”

She was holding my phone, which I had left open with the chat screen up, and her eyes sparkled with the most

excited expression I’d ever seen.

Ah, I’m in trouble.
