“So… Yousheng, you’ve lost your memory?”
“Yeah.”
“All I remember is arriving in this world and meeting you first… after that, it’s all blank.”
Ye Yousheng didn’t try to hide it.
As they walked out of the spider nest, he openly told Yiwu about his amnesia.
“I see… amnesia, huh…”
Yiwu’s expression turned faintly lonely.
“Well… it’s not surprising, considering what happened…”
“Hm?”
“You know why I lost my memory?”
She clasped her hands behind her back and said softly,
“I do.”
“But… I think it’s better if you don’t remember.”
“…Alright.”
“Then can you at least tell me about the Travelers? Like… the Five Sacred Relics?”
He already had a rough guess.
If it really worked like the games he used to play—
He might have an advantage.
But that was just speculation.
He needed confirmation.
Yet Yiwu shook her head.
“You’re asking the wrong person.”
“I don’t know what relics are required for this Heaven-Mending War.”
“Wait… what?”
“I thought every Traveler meets a goddess, gets a skill, and learns their mission?”
“That’s true.”
“But that goddess isn’t me—the Goddess of Life.”
“It’s the Goddess of Fate.”
At the mention of her—
Yiwu’s lips curved slightly.
There was genuine admiration in her expression.
“The Goddess of Fate…?”
Ye Yousheng frowned.
He didn’t like the idea of “fate.”
If such a goddess existed—
Didn’t that mean everyone’s life was already controlled?
“Her name is Pandora.”
“My older sister.”
“The Wheel of Fate Palace is where all Travelers begin… and where everything ends.”
“So then… why did I end up in your palace?”
Yiwu tilted her head.
“Good question.”
That look—
She clearly had no idea either.
“You just suddenly appeared in my palace.”
“No warning at all.”
“Maybe my sister’s summoning magic went wrong?”
A god—
Making a mistake?
And not just any god—
But the Goddess of Fate?
Yeah, that didn’t sit right.
But Ye Yousheng had no better explanation.
“I wanted to send you back to her.”
“But the path to the Wheel of Fate only appears in the final stage of the war.”
“Even I can’t reach her normally.”
“Then my skill… where did that come from?”
“I awakened it for you.”
“And [Thousand Words]—I gave you that too.”
“That much, I can do without my sister.”
“I see…”
So that was it.
Out of over a thousand Travelers—
He was the unlucky one who got summoned to the wrong place.
A background character.
The kind who dies early.
Even in another world—
His bad luck followed him.
And with the Curse of the Goddess of Luck—
It got worse.
Yiwu seemed to notice something and frowned slightly.
“You have a curse on you…”
“So her words really came true…”
“Her?”
“Who?”
“…Eve.”
“Eve…?”
“That’s not you?”
Yiwu quickly shook her head.
“No, not me.”
“My younger sister—the Goddess of Luck, Eve.”
“…You have the same name?”
Even for siblings, that was rare.
For gods—
Even weirder.
“Yeah.”
“You probably don’t remember, but you gave me a new name to tell us apart.”
“Yiwu.”
“I really like it.”
She placed her hands over her chest and smiled with her eyes closed.
“So… I named you…”
For a moment—
Ye Yousheng felt something heavy in his chest.
Because his younger sister’s name—
Was Ye Wuying.
Maybe—
That’s why he chose it.
He stopped walking.
Lowered his head.
Every time he thought about the past—
It hurt.
“Yousheng? What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.”
“More importantly… why are you sealed?”
“And why inside my phone?”
He changed the subject quickly.
Yiwu floated beside him—
Semi-transparent, like a projection.
Without her physical form—
She felt less overwhelming.
More… real.
“I’m not entirely sure.”
“I just touched that ‘phone’ thing—and got sucked inside!”
“Things from your world are amazing.”
“To think something could even seal me…”
She sounded genuinely amazed.
Like a child.
“No… I think the only phone that can seal you… is this one.”
There was no way a normal phone could do that.
So why his?
This wasn’t just coincidence.
Out of a thousand Travelers—
Only he was misplaced.
Only his phone sealed a goddess.
This had to be intentional.
Someone—
Somewhere—
Was behind this.
“Can’t you break the seal?”
“If I could, I wouldn’t need to lend you my body.”
“I think only my sister, Pandora, can undo it.”
So—
To free Yiwu—
He had to meet the Goddess of Fate.
And the only way to do that—
Yiwu looked at him with complete confidence.
“Win the Heaven-Mending War.”
“And go meet my sister.”
Unlike Lulu—
She never doubted him.
Even without magic.
Because he was her contractor.
Someone who shared fate with a god—
Couldn’t lose.
At first, Ye Yousheng had just been going along with things.
But now—
He didn’t have that luxury.
Even if not for himself—
Then for her—
He had to win.
“Yeah.”
“Leave it to me.”
“I’ll set you free.”
Guess pressure really does create motivation.
Either way—
He was serious now.
This wasn’t a game—
But he would treat it like one.
And clear it.
