I looked down at the unconscious werewolf girl.
Though it wasn’t intentional, no one had survived after showing hostility towards me.
Ravina, who tried to see my memories through bloodsucking.
The human man who pierced my neck.
And the two human players.
All of them were devoured by my shadow.
But I didn’t feel the urge to kill the werewolf girl.
It seemed I had a soft spot for children.
It was a realization about myself that I hadn’t known.
“Charlotte! Are you okay?”
Aurel, who arrived late, started fussing.
Considering the vampire’s regenerative abilities and my level, it wasn’t a particularly dangerous situation, but she was making a big deal out of it.
Aurel approached cautiously and looked at my chest.
“Didn’t you get punched in the chest?”
“I’m fine.”
“Are you sure there won’t be any scars?”
“There’s no way there would be…”
“Let me check… Yes! Let me check…!”
Aurel, seemingly very excited, reached out her hand.
I sighed and lightly tapped Aurel’s small head.
Thwack!
“Ah!”
A loud sound that shouldn’t come from a person’s head.
Aurel clutched her head and sat down on the floor.
“Don’t mess around.”
Where does this little one think she’s going?
I looked down at Aurel with my hands on my hips.
As much as I had grown closer to Aurel over time, we weren’t at the level of playing pranks on each other yet.
“Sorry…”
Aurel lowered her gaze and bowed her head.
I appreciated her willingness to admit her mistakes.
I turned my attention to the werewolf girl.
Though unconscious, considering the werewolf’s regenerative abilities, she would soon wake up.
“Charlotte…”
“What?”
“Are you just going to leave her? What if she wakes up and attacks again?”
I was worried about that too.
Tying her hands and feet with ropes or wires wouldn’t stop her, so I considered cutting her tendons.
“Ooo…”
The werewolf girl began to stir with a small groan.
Stretching her body like someone waking from a deep sleep.
Her previous hostility towards me was gone.
Despite having two strangers in front of her, she seemed unbothered.
I crouched down in front of the werewolf girl.
“Hey.”
“Yes?”
The girl looked up at me, her gaze meeting mine.
Her eyes were unfocused, and she had a silly smile on her face.
Was she always like this?
I took a step back, surprised by her reaction.
If she had been angry or scared, I wouldn’t have been so taken aback.
“What’s your name?”
“My name…?”
The girl couldn’t answer.
She just stared at me with her mouth open.
I shifted my gaze to the katana.
The katana that had struck the werewolf girl’s head.
The blade still had traces of blood dripping down.
Could it be?
Could it really be?
“Excuse me… does anyone know my name?”
The werewolf girl asked us with a bright smile, as if she couldn’t remember her own name.
A sigh escaped me as I saw her innocent smile.
“Charlotte… is this a vampire’s charm skill?”
“There’s no such thing…”
I replied with a sigh, wiping my dry face.
Charm skill, of course, I hadn’t used it.
Charm skills were only useful for side quests.
Naturally, I hadn’t used it.
And even if I had, it wouldn’t make someone forget their own name like this werewolf girl.
“Charlotte, you’re amazing! You charmed her without even using a skill!”
Aurel looked at me with boundless admiration.
Her sparkling eyes felt overwhelming.
I shook my head and spoke to the werewolf girl.
“Hey, do you really not remember your name? Anything else? Nothing at all?”
“Um… I don’t know!”
“Think carefully. You were chasing something, right?”
“Was I?”
“Yes. It seemed really important.”
“Um…”
I anxiously waited for the werewolf girl’s response.
After a while, she seemed to remember something and her eyes widened.
“I remember!”
“Yes. What is it?”
“I was chasing you!”
The werewolf girl said this and suddenly stood up.
Then she ran towards me.
I didn’t react. Her movements were harmless and without hostility.
She gently jumped into my arms and smiled brightly.
“Hehe!”
“Ah! You! Get off now!”
Aurel started yelling at the werewolf girl.
Seeing the red energy gathering at her fingertips, she seemed genuinely angry.
I gave Aurel a look to calm her down.
Could it really be possible to lose one’s memory just from a hit on the head?
I was still suspicious of this little girl.
It wasn’t because her embrace was warm.
I was completely vulnerable.
If the werewolf girl applied pressure, I would be severely injured.
It was the perfect situation for an attack.
But the werewolf girl didn’t apply any pressure.
She just smiled foolishly and rubbed her cheek against my clothes.
“Charlotte! It’s dangerous! Get away now!”
Aurel started shouting, seeing the werewolf girl’s actions.
Because of that, my face turned bright red.
I cleared my throat and pushed the werewolf girl away.
“Hey.”
Ah.
It’s inconvenient to call her without a name.
I frowned.
“Yes?”
“Do you really not remember your name?”
“Nope!”
The werewolf girl responded, twitching the wolf ears on her head.
“Charlotte! This girl is really dangerous! She’s probably pretending to have lost her memory!”
“I thought so too…”
I sighed and looked at the werewolf girl’s face.
How could that be an act?
I shoved the katana into the shadows and shook my head.
Silently, I patted the werewolf girl’s head.
Despite her messy appearance, her hair was incredibly soft.
“Ah…!”
Aurel watched us enviously.
I removed my hand from the werewolf girl and turned around.
“Let’s go, Aurel.”
“Huh? Go where?”
“We need to leave.”
“Oh. Okay!”
I climbed onto the bicycle and placed my feet on the pedals.
Aurel naturally took the back seat.
The werewolf girl left alone tilted her head and watched us.
I ignored her gaze and pedaled silently.
Though it was an unfortunate incident, what could I do?
It had already happened.
Considering the werewolf’s regenerative abilities, she would regain her memory soon enough.
As I increased the speed of the bicycle, Aurel suddenly screamed from behind.
“Ah! Charlotte! She’s following us!”
I turned my head in disbelief.
Behind the bicycle.
Down the long stretch of road.
The little girl chased after us with a pitiful expression.
She was running on all fours like an animal.
“Take me with you!”
Why was she following us?
Tap, tap, tap-
As time passed, the distance between the bicycle and the werewolf girl shortened.
Her actions were without hesitation.
I had no choice but to stop the bicycle.
“Charlotte! Why did you stop?”
I shook my head silently at Aurel’s question.
Despite running vigorously, the werewolf girl didn’t seem tired.
If left alone, she would continue to follow our bicycle.
I sighed.
“Hey.”
“Yes!”
“Are you going to keep following us?”
“Yes!”
I crossed my arms and began to think.
A werewolf girl who had lost her memory.
What should I do with her?
“Charlotte! What are you thinking about? Just eat her!”
“Eat me…? Are you going to eat me?”
“Yes! Our Charlotte will eat you all up!”
“Eek… then please eat me gently…”
I sighed deeply, listening to the two girls’ conversation.
“You. Let’s give you a name first.”
“My, my name?”
The werewolf girl looked at me with wide eyes.
I nodded.
I couldn’t keep calling her “hey” or “you.”
“Charlotte! You can’t be serious! It’s dangerous!”
I knew it was dangerous.
But what could I do? She lost her memory because of me.
I couldn’t just leave her behind.
I looked at Aurel and the werewolf girl.
I must indeed have a weakness for kids.
People would think that allowing these two burdens to accompany me proves that.
I spoke to the werewolf girl.
“How about ‘Galdae’?”
“Galdae…?”
“Yes, because you have brown hair and you’re a werewolf.”
The werewolf girl didn’t seem to like the name ‘Galdae.’
She turned her head with a sulky expression.
“I don’t think ‘Galdae’ is a good name…”
Aurel also opposed the name ‘Galdae.’
A moment ago, she had fiercely opposed the girl’s inclusion, but now she wanted to be involved in naming her.
I sighed with my arms crossed.
Galdae.
Isn’t it a pretty good name?
“Then how about ‘Galggoo’?”
“Galggoo…?”
“Charlotte…”
You don’t like that either?
I frowned.
A white puppy is called ‘Baekgu.’
So a brown puppy should be ‘Galggoo.’
Or maybe ‘Hwanggu’?
“Let’s go with ‘Hwanggu.'”
“Hwanggu…”
The werewolf girl made a tearful face.
Aurel chose to remain silent.
“From now on, you’re Hwanggu.”
I’m the leader of this party, so I decide.
The werewolf girl, now named Hwanggu, looked tearful.
NOTE : So the rival is now an ally and also we got to know that Charlotte is not good at making names 🙂 🙂 …..
