“We’ll see about that when the time comes!” Huang Xiu politely declined. She had no understanding of this “Blood Offensive Society” they spoke of. How could she possibly accept an invitation so rashly?
After a brief observation, she confirmed the general direction for their deployment.
Without further delay, Huang Xiu used [Senluo] to have the Sophora tree giant hurl Yun Ning and Wen Erya forward with immense force.
“Off you go!”
Accompanying her crisp shout, a powerful sensation of being pushed from behind slammed into them, sending the two instantly rocketing away like cannonballs.
In the blink of an eye, they traversed several tens of meters, arriving directly above Huai Nannan and her two companions.
As Yun Ning and Wen Erya stretched their bodies in mid-air, they had already surveyed the entire battlefield.
The squad below was currently besieged by a horde of Soldier-rank Dragon Abominations, barely managing to hold their ground.
Moreover, a General-rank Dragon Abomination had already approached, poised to strike at any moment and deliver a fatal blow.
If they wished to resolve the current predicament, there was only one course of action.
They needed to help the squad escape the encirclement, then unite with the three of them to ‘capture the king’ – take down the General-rank Dragon Abomination!
Both of them arrived at this same conclusion simultaneously.
Wen Erya pushed her [Beast Transformation] ability to its absolute limit.
Soft tiger ears suddenly sprouted from her head, her nails sharpened and elongated by several centimeters, and supple paw pads, designed to enhance explosive power and reduce noise, emerged on her hands and feet.
Why had she never bothered with shoes before?
Because when she fought with her full strength, footwear only served as an impediment!
Wen Erya spun twice in mid-air.
Then, she landed hands-first, followed by her feet, much like a true great cat.
The moment she touched down, the impact was entirely absorbed by her paw pads, allowing her descent to remain utterly unhindered. With a fierce tiger’s roar, she lunged directly towards Huai Nannan.
Yun Ning, lacking such an ability, naturally couldn’t land without buffering the impact and immediately spring into action.
He executed a breakfall, rolling several times to dissipate the immense impact from the throw.
Yet, as he rolled forward, the General-rank Dragon Abomination was also advancing.
Yun Ning looked up, and the General-rank Dragon Abomination looked down, their bodies reflected in each other’s pupils.
Their eyes met, locking them in a moment of awkwardness.
The next second, a sharp claw was already descending.
Seeing this, Yun Ning inwardly cursed his bad luck. In a desperate scramble, he arched his back into a ‘bridge’ pose, barely evading the claw.
However, this defensive maneuver meant surrendering the initiative to the General-rank Dragon Abomination.
Though it might not understand the concept of pressing an advantage, its beastly combat instincts compelled it to attack immediately.
Yun Ning, left with no choice, pushed off with his feet and deliberately threw himself to the ground.
He then rolled backward continuously, finally stopping only when he reached the foot of a Soldier-rank Dragon Abomination.
That particular Dragon Abomination had been preparing to join the encirclement of the squad.
Suddenly sensing something amiss at its feet, it lowered its head.
It stared with a hint of confusion at the human who had inexplicably crashed into its foot, practically delivering themselves.
The very next second, however, a somewhat exasperated Yun Ning punched straight through its chest with a fist glowing white.
He withdrew his fist, then sprang to his feet with a swift carp-leap.
At that moment, the three individuals behind him, aided by the “truly heaven-sent warrior” Wen Erya, successfully broke free from the pile of Dragon Abominations and joined Yun Ning.
The four senior students positioned themselves at the front, while Ying Zhiyu stood behind them.
They all turned their gaze towards the General-rank Dragon Abomination, and simultaneously, a white glow emanated from all five pairs of eyes, their intent unmistakably clear.
As for the nearby Soldier-rank Dragon Abominations, no one paid them any further heed.
A verdant ocean had already spread across the ground, engaging the remaining Soldier-rank Dragon Abominations in a chaotic battle.
Although the mutated plants were slightly inferior to the Dragon Abominations in both individual strength and numbers.
For now, merely holding them back would suffice.
They, in conjunction with the two squads, intended to decapitate the General-rank Dragon Abomination, thereby halting its continuous summoning of Soldier-rank Dragon Abominations.
The remaining Dragon Abominations would then be utterly insignificant.
“The second battle has begun,” Huai Nannan murmured, as Wei Xing nodded beside her.
“Will we win?”
Ying Zhiyu, who had heard countless such questions, desperately wanted to ask, but ultimately held her tongue.
It felt too inauspicious.
Wen Erya remained silent, instead shaking her body to dislodge the blood and grime clinging to the fine fur on her head and body.
‘After twenty days of training… my strength has grown considerably. Now is the time to test that growth,’ Yun Ning mused.
Yun Ning’s eyes flickered slightly as he slowly adopted the opening stance of the Great Xia Ancient Martial Arts, which he had learned in his combat class.
For some unknown reason, the General-rank Dragon Abomination actually halted.
Its gaze passed through the gaps between the five individuals, settling upon the young woman perched atop the giant’s head.
A red gleam flashed in its eyes.
Immediately, it abruptly raised its head, opened its maw to its widest extent, and unleashed a shrill shriek that tore through the sky.
“Aaaargh!”
Puddles of sewage on the ground rippled with the sound waves, and the windows of nearby residential buildings shattered instantly.
The Soldier-rank Dragon Abominations guarding it clutched their ears, howling in agony.
The squad, being a little further away, only found the roar piercing and exceptionally loud.
Gazing at the General-rank Dragon Abomination, Yun Ning’s expression subtly shifted.
“This is…?”
With six people working together, killing this General-rank Dragon Abomination presented no problem.
Yet, the sudden, bizarre action of the Dragon Abomination before him.
It cast a shadow over his heart, a vague premonition that something terrible was unfolding.
“Don’t let it keep screaming!” Yun Ning shouted, his voice urgent.
Though he didn’t understand the meaning behind its actions, he knew that stopping it was undeniably the right choice.
But before he could act, a rather ‘colorful’ greeting suddenly echoed from behind them.
“What’s with all the shouting?!”
Close on the heels of the curse came a resounding, tearing sound through the air.
By now, the heavy rain that had fallen for several tens of minutes had subsided, transforming into a gentle drizzle.
A spiral wooden spear, over two meters long, whizzed past the five individuals.
To the squad’s astonishment, it violently struck the General-rank Dragon Abomination’s upper body, sending it flying backward.
Its shrill shriek was abruptly cut short, swallowed back into its belly.
*Thud!*
At that moment, the Sophora tree giant also strode over to the five, with Huang Xiu still seated atop its head, not having dismounted.
“Quiet now, aren’t we?” she chuckled.

“Looks like no help is needed after all!”
Xidu City, Urban Village Touchpoint.
A solitary, pure white cloud drifted high in the sky.
A gentle drizzle fell from the heavens, pattering onto the swirling mist above the cloud and gurgling as it slid away.
The cloud was exceptionally dense, roughly the size of a bed, and upon it sat three men, cross-legged.
The speaker at this moment was a handsome man in an administrative jacket, wearing gold-rimmed glasses.
He pushed up his glasses, and a blue light flickered in his eyes beneath the lenses.
The flickering blue light was a Void Art that enhanced vision.
It allowed him to clearly perceive every movement on the ground, even from such a great height.
Using this Void Art, he was currently observing the movements across the entire Touchpoint from his elevated vantage point.
