[Whisper/CameToDie > DontOrderMe: I got it for you ㅠ]
[Whisper/DontOrderMe > CameToDie: It’d sell for billions at the auction house… how can I take it? Sell it and gear yourself up.]
Even if Berserker’s a niche class, it’s not like there are no players.
Its efficiency sucks, but the style keeps some dedicated fans.
Especially veterans who, after maxing their main, level a Berserker for flair. Gear with those specs would definitely find buyers.
More importantly, what have I done to deserve this? I may have done some shady stuff, but I’ve got a conscience.
CameToDie kept sending trade requests, and I kept rejecting them, checking the party window instead.
Even without high-spec gear, my ingrained control should let me run some raids.
Half-ignoring CameToDie’s emote-spamming tantrum, I was tempted to just take the gear, conscience be damned.
But that faint shred of morality screamed I’d regret it. Then, guild chat exploded again.
[Guild/Beta: Is it true you rejected gear CameToDie poured his fortune into?]
[Guild/DontOrderMe: ? What’s that?]
[Guild/Beta: Our CameToDie, who adores SoonToDie, spent his entire fortune on Berserker gear for you, and you didn’t take it? ㅠㅠ]
[Guild/QuitMyJob: SoonToDie messed up lololol personality;;]
[Guild/PotteryMaster: Nooo how could you!! He spent his ENTIRE!! FORTUNE!! on gear for you and you REJECTED it?!]
[Guild/PotteryMaster: Bad boy SoonToDie!!!! Don’t you feel bad for CameToDie?!?!]
[Guild/Beta: Poor CameToDie ㅠㅠ SoonToDie quit PK so he can’t even die ㅠㅠ He poured his heart into that gear and got rejected ㅠㅠ]
His entire fortune? First I’m hearing of it. Who spends their whole fortune on gear for someone else, not even themselves? Is this for real? Stunned, I was about to type when CameToDie beat me to it.
[Guild/CameToDie: It’s my heart,,,, so sad,,,,,,,, saved up every penny,,,, to buy that gear,,,,]
[Guild/Beta: Lolol no way!! He even tailored the options!!!!]
[Guild/CameToDie: Saw you prefer attack speed,,,, so I slotted attack speed,,,, enhanced to +12,,,, pulled it off,,,,]
[Guild/CameToDie: Still,,,, it’s not enough to express my heart,,,, so I awakened it too,,,, ^^]
[Guild/PotteryMaster: Insane;;; Full endgame set???]
[Guild/PotteryMaster: Your dedication’s unreal, switch to me? I’ll treat you right ㅎ]
[Guild/CameToDie: How could I,,,, betray SoonToDie,,,, my soul’s already his,,,, ^^]
[Guild/DontOrderMe: What’s with this concept, pick one;]
[Guild/CameToDie: If you want me back to normal,,,,, accept the trade,,,,, ^^]
Anyone would think I’m extorting him. Swallowing a sigh at the flood of dramatic guild chat, I had no choice but to accept the gear.
Talk about role reversal. The giver should be the one flexing, so why do I feel like I’m the one showing off? This makes me feel like trash.
With trembling hands, I equipped the gear, and my character glowed with enhancement effects. Is this the power of +12? My alt’s specs now outshine my main’s—it’s surreal.
I’m a no-hand who barely hits +10, so how did he get a +12 full set? The market barely has these.
[Guild/DontOrderMe: What do you want…]
[Guild/Beta: Lololol how’s it feel to get a full set in one go?]
[Guild/DontOrderMe: Feels unreal… lol my conscience is a bit torn too;]
[Guild/CameToDie: Looks good on you.]
[Guild/PotteryMaster: Looks lolol good lololololol]
[Guild/DontOrderMe: Stop laughing before I break your pottery ㅠ]
[Guild/DontOrderMe: So what do you want… Expensive gifts come with strings…]
[Guild/CameToDie: I told you before.]
Before? I racked my brain but couldn’t recall, so I questioned him, and his reply came instantly.
[Guild/CameToDie: Your love…♥]
“Oh, come on.”
I groaned, smacking my forehead. That love nonsense again. Why does he keep pulling this?
[Guild/DontOrderMe: Lolol stop with that every chance you get;;]
[Guild/DontOrderMe: That’s it…? You spent all that… for that…?]
[Guild/CameToDie: How can you call your love ‘just’ that;]
[Guild/CameToDie: Apologize to your love right now;]
[Guild/OneHitForTheLord: Lololololololololololol]
[Guild/DontOrderMe: Damn… for treating… my love… as ‘just’ that… I’m sorry…]
[Guild/Beta: Lmao he actually apologized lololololol]
[Guild/PotteryMaster: Lolol srsly lolol he apologized lolololol]
[Guild/DontOrderMe: They say money talks… you listen to the one paying… ㅎ]
There’s a reason for that saying.
Thanks to CameToDie, I’m fully geared and ready to raid.
Valhalla’s Wrath is the dungeon where his gear dropped and one I briefly played before quitting.
Compared to others, my experience with it is low. I’ve watched guides and cleared it with SoonToDie, but even then, it was a close call.
Barely a taste, really.
The reason for running it with a full Valhalla set? Simple: after returning and focusing on PK, I’ve lost my raid instincts.
My control’s fine, but I need to regain my edge for the next update. Plus, farming sub-gear would be nice.
[Guild/DontOrderMe: We going pub raid?]
[Guild/Beta: With your gear, we could go as a guild…]
[Guild/Beta: But I blew up my gear enhancing yesterday, so pub it is… ^^]
[Guild/Beta: You know, bad healer gear doesn’t kill me—it kills you… ^^]
[Guild/OneHitForTheLord: Why blow up gear and make my life harder?]
[Guild/Beta: Who knew it’d blow up? Hehe!]
Pub raid hell. In any game, syncing with strangers is tough, especially in high-difficulty dungeons.
Sighing deeply, I started recruiting. I have to form a raid team before the next update. If not, I’ll do it late.
The party filled quickly—lots of people running this.
After confirming everyone’s ready, we entered Valhalla’s Wrath.
Grand music played, and seeing the trap-filled map made my lips twitch. Man, this is nerve-wracking.
[Party/OneHitForTheLord: I’ll main tank.]
With the main tank sorted, the raid began. OneHit pulled the boss’s agro, and DPS started unloading.
Everyone seemed decently geared, judging by how fast the boss’s HP dropped. At 10% HP loss, the phase shifted, and AoE damage hit. Healers quickly topped us up while DPS spread out, preparing for the next mechanic.
As a melee DPS, Berserker had to stay dangerously close to the boss’s attack range.
Mid-frenzy, I spotted the boss’s cast bar. Oh, that’s a knockback. Instinctively, I used my anti-knockback skill to counter the mechanic.
The sub-tank next to me, though, flew off into the distance.
I couldn’t help but chuckle. Something about him vanishing from my screen was hilarious.
[Party/Karma: Ah; sorry.]
[Party/Beta: I’ll pull a revive.]
My gut said this run was doomed.
We just started, and someone’s already dead? Not a beginner or undergeared party, but an endgame farming one.
This is bad. The silver lining? DPS was so strong the boss’s HP melted fast.
If DPS keeps burning their lives, we might clear it. Just in case, I stayed on edge.
Sure enough, when adds spawned, the sub-tank melted again, and I gave a wry smile, typing quickly.
[Party/DontOrderMe: I’ll grab agro, please heal.]
[Party/NililiMambo: Revive—]
[Party/DontOrderMe: Pull a revive now, and we all die.]
