Inside the cave, there was no sunlight, only the magical ore veins shining with dazzling colors, as if one were walking through neon-lit streets.
The furniture in the cave was not very luxurious, most of it made of stone, except for the wide bed that exuded extravagance, as though built for passionate nights.
Ledea and Lily lay naked on the bed.
The two were not holding each other, as if to prove that their relationship was purely physical.
Lily slowly opened her eyes.
At first, she hadn’t realized what was happening, but soon she felt Ledea’s warmth.
Ledea’s generous curves were right beside her, making Lily’s face flush red.
Lily sat up shyly on the bed, covering her chest.
Thinking of how she had been overwhelmed by Ledea again last night, she blushed all over.
But Lily couldn’t help it — last night she had truly been overcome with desire.
It was all the fault of that damned silver mark; if she went too long without closeness, it would begin to glow!
At the time, Lily’s cheeks had been flushed, her breath rapid, and beads of sweat forming on her neck.
Ledea, drawn by the power of the silver mark, had been compelled to hold her.
Because of its influence, Lily hadn’t resisted at all — instead, she had obediently responded to Ledea’s advances.
After several rounds of passion, the two had collapsed onto the bed, exhausted.
“I can’t believe I let Ledea have her way with me again…”
Lily clutched her chest with tearful eyes.
She instinctively glanced to the side.
Fortunately, her daughter Emilia was still in Ledea’s room.
If her daughter had seen her shy side, it would surely have been a poor example for her upbringing!
At this moment, Ledea slowly opened her eyes.
She looked a little dazed, as though still half-asleep.
“Hm? Lily?…”
Ledea noticed the naked Lily, then lifted the quilt and saw her own bare body.
Although her memory was a bit hazy, she realized she must have unknowingly pushed Lily down.
“So that’s how it was… last night I trained you hard again, didn’t I?”
“D-Don’t say it in such a dirty way!” Lily hid her body under the blanket.
“Why so shy?” Ledea said coolly.
“Didn’t you enjoy yourself last night too? Not only did you show such a blissful expression, but you also responded to me so eagerly — you even kept calling out my name?”
“T-That’s impossible… don’t talk nonsense!”
“You were really amazing last night. I almost felt like you were the one conquering me.”
Ledea’s face carried mockery and teasing.
It was obvious she wasn’t really praising Lily, but trying to embarrass her.
Of course, Lily could hear the meaning behind the words.
“Ledea!” Lily furiously hurled a pillow at her.
Ledea caught it easily.
Because the movement was so big, her generous curves jiggled slightly.
Lily couldn’t help but glance over.
Noticing Lily’s gaze, Ledea deliberately puffed out her chest, openly showing off her body without hesitation.
Embarrassed, Lily quickly looked away.
She had no intention of humoring Ledea.
At that moment, Lily faintly heard her daughter’s voice calling.
She thought it was an illusion, but Ledea heard it more clearly.
Her teasing expression disappeared.
She grabbed a black veil from the bedside and draped it over herself, hurrying off to her daughter’s room.
Lily hesitated for a moment, then quickly dressed as well.
By the time she had put on her dress, Ledea had already brought their daughter back.
“Mama—” Emilia reached her little hands toward Lily.
“Looks like she’s hungry,” Ledea said, glancing at Lily with expectation.
“I know! Just turn around first!”
Ledea didn’t tease her this time.
When it came to raising their daughter, she was always serious.
She turned around, and Lily let out a small sigh of relief.
Quietly, she slipped down the strap of her dress.
Her full chest came into view, and Emilia eagerly looked forward to her breakfast.
Lily gently held Emilia in her arms.
The little one latched on without hesitation, happily enjoying her mother’s nourishment.
Looking at the daughter in her arms, Lily felt overwhelmed with happiness.
Come to think of it, Emilia’s growth was astonishingly fast.
Every time Lily nursed her, she could see how much bigger she had grown.
Even without real childcare experience, it was obvious she was growing faster than a human child.
She was only half a month old, yet she already looked like a human child of one and a half years.
“Ledea, isn’t our daughter growing too fast?”
Ledea naturally turned her head.
Lily felt a little embarrassed, but Ledea didn’t stare at her chest — instead, she looked at Lily’s face.
“I’m not too sure,” Ledea said thoughtfully.
“When I was young, I heard my aunts say that dragon infants could grow to the size of a five-year-old human within fifty days.”
“Oh! That fast?”
“Although… that’s just what I heard. I don’t know if it’s true.”
“Wait, so Ledea has aunts?”
“Just clan relatives, not literal aunts,” Ledea explained.
“Speaking of which, I wonder how Aunt Theresa is doing now.”
The fact that Ledea had family surprised Lily a little.
She had thought that evil dragons were solitary, perhaps only with a mother.
She hadn’t expected aunts, and from Ledea’s words, it seemed she had quite a few!
Hopefully, they wouldn’t cause trouble… Lily couldn’t help but think to herself.
Since Emilia was growing so quickly, it was time to buy baby clothes and supplies — and maybe some early reading materials too…
“Huh?” Lily suddenly realized something.
“Wait… is this world speaking Chinese?”
“What’s Chinese? Aren’t we speaking ‘Common Tongue’?”
“Uh, n-never mind… forget I said that…”
Since they spoke Chinese, maybe the writing was also Chinese.
But everyone’s names sounded Western.
She had no idea what was going on.
Forget it — things would sort themselves out eventually.
Even if Lily couldn’t read or write, Ledea surely could.
The responsibility of educating their daughter could be left to her.
Although a little reluctant, Lily planned to secretly learn along the way.
After finishing her meal, Emilia looked satisfied, then soon drifted back to sleep.
Ledea and Lily gently placed her back into the crib, carefully tucking in the blanket.
Looking at their playful and adorable daughter, both Ledea and Lily smiled at the same time.
But the smiles quickly vanished.
They looked at each other with stern faces.
“Today, I’m going to the imperial capital,” Ledea said expressionlessly.
“Before leaving, I’ll set up a barrier, and I’ll be back quickly. You stay here and protect our daughter.”
“Do you have acquaintances in the capital?”
“It’s just for investigation,” Ledea replied impatiently, as if unwilling for Lily to ask too much.
“If there’s anything you need, tell me, I’ll buy it on the way back.”
“In that case, buy some children’s books, will you?”
“Children’s books?”
“Our daughter is growing so fast. It’s time we start taking responsibility for her education, don’t you think?”
“Uh… yeah, you’re right…”
Ledea looked doubtful.
She didn’t quite understand what “children’s books” were.
But her dragon pride wouldn’t allow her to ask, so she forced herself to act calm.
“Children’s books, huh? I know. I’ll buy them for our daughter.”
“Do you really understand what they are?”
“They’re just children’s books. Do you think I can’t handle something that simple?”
“Uh, fine… I’ll trust you, then…”
Somehow, Lily didn’t feel very reassured.
But she didn’t want to argue with Ledea further.
If Ledea got flustered and angry, she might end up “disciplining” her again before even buying the books.
Just imagining it made her shiver.
Better not to think about it.
And so, Ledea got dressed and flew away without looking back.
Lily watched her leave, silently hoping she would return soon, because she feared that someone might set their eyes on her daughter.
