In her muddled daze, Selina muddle-headedly plunged into the bathtub full of water.

The skin that had been pale with a rosy tint was instantly soaked and drenched the moment it touched the water.

Selina stared dumbly at the lingering warmth on her fingertip. For a moment her brain completely failed to process anything. The blank, adorable expression paired with those bewildered eyes added an extra layer of charming innocence to her whole aura.

“Have you touched enough?!”

A voice both icy-cold and barely restraining itself suddenly rang in her ears.

Through the hazy veil of steam, the little dragon girl’s flushed cheeks were visibly trembling at the edges. She clenched her silver teeth, golden eyes desperately trying to suppress a desire that was on the verge of breaking loose.

That icy tone was like a real bucket of cold water poured straight over Selina’s muddled head. Her whole body shuddered uncontrollably from top to bottom. The chaotic consciousness was instantly doused ice-cold and she became completely sober.

“You? I…? W-Where is this?”

Seeing the girl’s helpless, flustered expression, for some reason the anger that had flared in Aurelia’s heart because a stranger had barged into her bathroom suddenly fizzled out like a fire deprived of oxygen. All that remained was a thin wisp of smoke curling upward…

The harsh words that had reached her tongue were subconsciously swallowed back.

Perhaps because the pent-up emotions had nowhere to go and recoiled, Aurelia, still soaking in the tub, let out a muffled groan. The golden eyes that had barely managed to stay calm instantly lost their composure.

Selina was still frantically clawing at the tub’s edge, trying with all her might to stand, when the little dragon girl’s muddled warning reached her ears.

She turned her head and saw that the dragon girl who had still been relatively composed moments ago could no longer grip the tub’s rim.

Her jade arms trembled powerlessly as they shielded her chest.

Her unnaturally flushed face and those golden eyes gradually growing dim and unfocused all indicated her condition was heading toward total loss of control.

After all, inside this body lived an adult who had already experienced forty to fifty years of life. At this critical, chaotic moment, Selina’s mind became unusually clear.

To shake off the mental haze and scorching heat, she bit the tip of her tongue without hesitation.

Pain scattered the remaining heat and confusion.

Selina scrambled with hands and feet like a mud-covered loach, slipping and sliding her way out of the tub.

The moment she escaped, she snatched the dry bath towel from the rack and wrapped it around herself. Her wet little feet went pat-pat-pat as she dashed out of the bathroom.

Watching the girl’s retreating back, Aurelia, still in the tub, let out a huge breath of relief.

Though her consciousness was growing ever fuzzier under the torment of her boiling dragon blood, as long as the girl left, it felt as though a massive weight had been lifted from her heart.

She had no idea why her desire had been triggered, but once dragon blood ignited, it was not easily extinguished like other races.

Normally, with her years of endurance experience, suppressing her consciousness and taking a cold bath should have nipped it in the bud, but Selina’s sudden appearance had thrown everything into chaos.

Now clear-headed, Selina instantly recognized the dragon girl was suffering the exact same condition she’d just escaped. She was a girl too—she couldn’t abandon her in the bathroom.

The instant she was embraced, the girl’s unique, faint fragrance drifted into Aurelia’s nose. The uncontrollable heat met its nemesis and rapidly subsided, as if a ton of cold water had been poured over her boiling dragon blood.

Though her consciousness still faded, the overwhelming instinct receded like the tide. Exhaustion, tingling, and a wildly beating heart remained.

Aurelia stared blankly at the girl carrying her princess-style. The figure gradually overlapped with a familiar illusion.

Tears welled in her dimming golden eyes.

She used the last of her strength to wrap her arms around the “man’s” neck.
