“It’s a guaranteed win~”
For some reason, when Freya heard this, an inexplicable sense of unreality arose within her, as if these words carried a kind of causality.
She sighed, gathered the gemstone fragments from the ground, then her divine eyes shifted, turning towards the direction of the soul sensing beneath the clouds.
Inside the Academy of Revelation’s girls’ dormitory.
“Ah-choo!”
Selina sneezed for no reason. The girl covered her slightly red, small nose with her hand, a hint of confusion in her eyes.
She really wondered who was thinking about her behind her back again.
“So, Your Highness, you just ran into the Dragon Saintess’s bathroom so impulsively today?”
Crispin looked at the girl in disbelief, her tone carrying a hint of guilt.
“If she hadn’t gone to her elective class today, Your Highness wouldn’t have gotten into this mess.”
Perhaps sensing the guilt in Crispin’s eyes, Selina waved her hand dismissively.
“It’s nothing, it’s nothing. It didn’t cause much of an impact. We’re both girls, and she doesn’t mind. Aurelia just asked me to go shopping with her tomorrow, and that’s it, it’s all cleared up.”
To be honest, she was quite curious about the Dragon Saintess’s change in attitude.
Logically, based on her memories of the Dragon Saintess’s personality, Aurelia should be a rather conservative girl. Even during the period when Selina escorted her, when she didn’t fully trust Selina, that girl was unwilling to even let Selina’s hand touch her skin.
Moreover, when she burst into the bathroom and met Aurelia’s golden eyes, Selina could clearly feel the anger that was almost erupting. But just when she thought she was about to be scolded, the Dragon Saintess inexplicably deflated.
In short, that girl’s state seemed a bit off, and she wondered if it was due to her Dragon Tribe physique.
“So, Your Highness will be going shopping with the Dragon Saintess tomorrow?”
At the mention of this, Crispin’s previously dim eyes suddenly brightened.
She had been tired of seeing His Highness wearing her school uniform every day.
Although a beautiful person looks good in any clothes, Crispin firmly believed that the more of a natural clothes hanger a person was, the more they should change their clothes. Beautiful people matched with beautiful clothes—that was truly pleasing to the eye…
“Wait, what are you trying to do?”
“Your Highness is a princess of a nation, and Aurelia is a Saintess of a nation. Both Your Highnesses are of equal status, and meeting should naturally adhere to the appropriate etiquette and show due respect.”
As she spoke, Crispin had already moved gracefully to the wardrobe.
Due to their connections, Selina and Crispin had enjoyed the comforts of a two-person dormitory since entering the Academy, unlike other freshmen. Officially, this was a special reward for the top three freshmen, but in reality, only Selina knew it was special consideration from the Principal.
When Selina left the Elf Forest, she had brought many clothes with her.
However, to hide her identity, she mostly wore her school uniform or normal commoner girl attire. All the princess dresses and gowns she wore in the palace were sealed in the wardrobe.
This made Crispin very dissatisfied. Now that an opportunity had arisen, with a suitable reason, she eagerly opened the sealed door, preparing to choose a suitable, beautiful, elegant, and status-appropriate outfit for her Highness.
Selina grabbed Crispin’s hand, shaking her head frantically.
“Don’t, please? Aurelia and I are just going shopping, it’s normal shopping. If I wear those gowns and princess dresses so ostentatiously, are you trying to get my identity exposed faster?”
Selina’s reason for not wanting to wear those clothes certainly contained personal preference, but more of it was due to objective reasons. Those princess dresses and gowns in the wardrobe were indeed beautiful, and since she was now truly a girl, Selina wouldn’t mind wearing them occasionally…
However, those gowns all shared a common trait: they were too distinctly Elven in style. If she wore them out, she would unmistakably carry Elven characteristics. If this were seen by the Student Council’s Philicia, wouldn’t she be completely finished on the spot?
“Ah…”
Crispin’s bright eyes instantly dimmed when she saw His Highness’s resistance.
It had been a long time since she had seen His Highness shimmering in a princess dress. Although the commoner attire and school uniform were indeed nice, in her perception, only His Highness in a princess dress was the true His Highness.
That feeling of being completely enveloped and constrained by the princess dress, being able to see the fluffy skirt with just a lowered gaze—not only was it pleasing to outsiders, but His Highness herself would also be constantly reminded of her princess status, thus upholding a princess’s etiquette and upbringing.
Unlike now, His Highness wore a school uniform every day and was almost forgetting her own status, running here and there. She was approached by strange girls all day long, which made Crispin, as a maidservant, feel very exhausted.
Looking at Crispin’s dim gaze, Selina couldn’t bear it for a moment. She thought for a moment, then tentatively asked.
“Do you really want me to wear those clothes?”
“Mhm mhm…”
Feeling His Highness’s will waver, Crispin quickly looked up, her deep green eyes filled with hopeful light.
Being stared at by her own maidservant like this, Selina found it difficult to back down for a moment. After struggling with her dilemma for a bit, she gritted her silver teeth and finally made a decision.
“Fine, then I won’t wear the school uniform tomorrow. But don’t dress me in the old styles either. Just dress me in the style of an ordinary noble. Anyway, my disguised identity is that of a fallen noble, so having a few noble outfits in the wardrobe is perfectly normal, right?”
Although Crispin felt a pang of disappointment, this outcome was still acceptable.
Noble attire? It seemed she would have to thoroughly research how to dress His Highness tonight!
Crispin’s eyes were filled with fighting spirit. She opened the wardrobe and immediately began rummaging through it. Selina, on the other hand, had been busy all day and had even endured the awful incident of breaking into another girl’s bathroom. Her spirit was utterly exhausted.
After explaining the day’s events, she had no energy left to see what clothes Crispin picked. After a simple wash, the girl rolled onto the bed, pulled up the covers, and plunged into a deep, heavy sleep.
Until the next morning, as the sun rose and the dawn light shone.
The girl was gently awakened by Crispin’s soft voice. With the maidservant’s assistance, she propped herself up against the headboard with pillows behind her, reaching up to rub her sleepy eyes. Her vision gradually cleared.
“Crispin, what time is it now?”
The girl asked softly, her sweet voice habitually carrying a hint of elegance.
“Reporting, Your Highness, it is already 8:15. Please allow me to assist you with changing.”
“Mhm…”
The girl still looked half-asleep, only instinctively humming in response.
In the palace, she had long grown accustomed to Crispin’s care. All the independent living habits she had once cultivated had long since fallen into disuse. If it weren’t for her excellent disguise outside and the lack of classmates visiting her dorm, her princess habits, specifically nurtured by Philene, would likely have already exposed her identity.
Drowsily, Selina felt that the dressing process today seemed overly complicated. She felt as if she had returned to living in the palace, especially halfway through, when a sudden tightening sensation came around her waist, followed by the feeling of her legs being tightly bound by silken fabric.
Realizing something was amiss, the girl abruptly opened her eyes. By then, Crispin had finished dressing her, and she stood completely in front of the mirror.
Selina stared at the girl in the mirror, her mouth twitching, feeling utterly speechless for a moment.
“Crispin, do you call this an ordinary noble’s attire?!”
The girl couldn’t hold back, finally questioning her with a flushed face.
