The Debt and the Predator

Chapter 15785 words7 min read

“How can I repay you?” Luo Yao’s heart quivered as he looked at Mu Yaochen standing before him. It was as if his body was instinctively afraid of her.

“I’m considering when to auction off your first time. What do you think? I don’t believe your first time is worth only eight million.” Mu Yaochen’s gaze was both mocking and calculating. “Of course, there are conditions. If we proceed, I’ll make sure you’re perfectly packaged.”

“No… no…” Luo Yao’s alarm bells rang, and he stared at her with a mixture of dread and defiance.

“No? Then how will you repay me the eight million?” Mu Yaochen’s interest piqued, her eyes glinting with a sharp intensity as she questioned him.

The surrounding construction noise and the roar of traffic from the nearby road only added to Luo Yao’s growing agitation. Yet, despite his turmoil, he knew he had to find a way to address the debt.

“I… I…” Luo Yao hesitated, remembering how even in his previous life, his meager salary would have struggled to cover eight million. Now, as an underage youth, his chances of securing a loan were slim to none.

Mu Yaochen relished the sight of Luo Yao’s distress.

Luo Yao realized his immediate priority was to appear pathetic and survive. He needed to protect his body at all costs.

What he hadn’t anticipated was that this stunning woman had no interest in him. Or perhaps, she simply wanted to toy with him like a cat with a mouse, savoring the moment before delivering the final, crushing blow.

“You seem so lost. Can I call you ‘little kitten’? But looking at you, ‘playboy’ might be more fitting.” Mu Yaochen stood up, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

“Enough chatter. I’ll give you three months, or perhaps more, depending on the situation.” A playful glint shone in her eyes.

Luo Yao tried to protest, but Mu Yaochen cut him off, her mind already weaving a complex web of plans.

“Once you’re better, I’ll give you a chance to earn back the eight million, with interest.” She waggled a slender finger in the air, her tone both playful and menacing.

Mu Yaochen’s thoughts drifted to the ‘raising’ games she often played on her computer. Luo Yao’s youthful, delicate features stirred something primal within her. She imagined nurturing him, shaping him into a perfect specimen of her desires.

“You’re truly adorable,” she thought, her excitement building. “But this isn’t about liking you. It’s just for fun!”

Yet, even as she reveled in her plans, a shadow of unease crossed her mind. She reminded herself that she couldn’t possibly fall for a mere plaything, especially one with a girlfriend.

“What do you mean?” Luo Yao asked, confusion etched on his face. The idea of repaying eight million in three months seemed absurd.

“It’s simple,” Mu Yaochen explained, her eyes narrowing. “First, you recover from your illness. Then, I’ll invest in you, and you’ll turn that investment into eight million, plus interest. The interest rate will be communicated later.”

“If you can’t manage it in three months, you know the consequences.”

“And don’t look at me like that. I took this money without my family’s knowledge. I saw how pitiful you were and couldn’t let those others have you. You have no idea what might have happened if they got their hands on you.” Mu Yaochen’s expression softened, feigning concern.

“Is that so?” Luo Yao pondered, recalling the intense bidding from that night.

“Yes, the price was almost within my reach, but someone kept outbidding me until…” Mu Yaochen elaborated, her words painting a picture of desperation and heroism.

Luo Yao’s brow furrowed, sensing the complexity of the situation.

“I’m sorry for causing you trouble,” he said, feeling a pang of guilt.

But Luo Yao wasn’t naive. Mu Yaochen’s emotional shifts were too rapid, too calculated. From a dominant CEO to a benevolent savior, her transformations were almost unreal. He knew she was playing a role, and he was determined to see through her act.

Luo Yao had lived long enough to recognize the signs of manipulation. Yet, despite his suspicions, he couldn’t shake the feeling that Mu Yaochen was a force to be reckoned with. Her unpredictability was both alluring and terrifying.

“What if she decides to take things further?” he wondered, a chill running down his spine. “I can’t afford to underestimate her.”

Mu Yaochen’s true intentions remained a mystery, but Luo Yao was resolved to navigate this dangerous game with caution.
