Chapter 15: The First Collaboration with Tsupi (2)

[# The Warrior and the Spirit’s First Meeting]

That was the title I set, but to be honest, I didn’t really like it.

‘It sounds way too childish.’

It felt like something only little kids would find appealing, and that irritated me.

But what could I do? Märchen itself was literally based on fairy tales.

No matter how I looked at it, I had definitely picked the wrong company.

“Ah, Tsupi, can you hear me?”

[Yeah! Hold on a second, though—I still need to tweak some settings.]

“Take your time. We have plenty of it.”

  • This collab is seriously unexpected.
  • Tsupi is known for not doing collabs, though.
  • Isn’t this Tsupi’s first collab in like… six years?!
  • The Queen of the Spirit Kingdom and the Warrior of Märchen Empire—wow…
  • Just seeing this already makes me smile.
  • 700
  • Tsupi appearing outside the control room on stream?! It’s been forever.
  • 700
  • Why did Tsupi even become Yuwol’s manager in the first place?
  • They’re both too cute.
  • A flat-screen collab… this is rare.

I read through chat as I waited for Tsupi to finish setting things up.

Since it had been so long since her last collab, she said she needed to adjust her old settings.

…Wait, Tsupi’s outfit…

I’m the one who designed that.

That’s an old model, too.

[Muil: When are you going to commission a new outfit? I told you I’d do it for free.]

At my message, Tsupi paused her adjustments for a moment and replied.

[Tsupi: Oh, yeah… I never really thought about it since I don’t use my avatar outside of the control room. Maybe I should consider it now? Also, when are we dropping formal speech?]

[Muil: …Not so easy, huh.]

“A! I’m done with the settings!”

“Great. Can you all see Tsupi’s avatar properly?”

TË TË TË –

  • Yep, looks great!
  • This is it.
  • A Yuwol & Tsupi collab? I’m so excited.
  • Wait… is this really a collab? It’s basically a training session, LOL.
  • If they’re streaming together, it counts as a collab.
  • It’s been so long since Tsupi’s control room streams stopped, so this is nice.
  • Yes, we can see it well!
  • So when are you two actually dropping formal speech? LOL.

“Starting now. Right, Tsupi?”

“…Yuwol?”

  • LMAOOOOOOOO
  • Ahahaha
  • Wait, you literally just said you were dropping formal speech.
  • Yuwol… buddy… this isn’t it…
  • LOL.
  • 700
  • That was so obviously polite speech.
  • Contradictory much, Warrior?
  • 700

Oops.

It just naturally comes out polite—I can’t help it.

I’ll fix it slowly from now on.

Since this was my first collab with Tsupi, I needed to introduce her properly.

Even if most people already knew who she was.

“Alright, now that everything’s set up, let’s introduce the spirit standing to my right.”

“Hello, everyone! I’m Tsupi, Queen of the Spirit Kingdom!

I’m so happy to be joining Warrior Yuwol’s journey as his supporter!”

  • WRAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!
  • “Yes, this is it! Yes, this is it! Yes, this is it!”
  • “Great Queen Tsupi! Great Queen Tsupi! Great Queen Tsupi!”
  • [Info] All spirits of the Spirit Kingdom are actually Märchen managers…
  • She supposedly dumped everything on her successor (Eunhye) and left. Guess it was true.
  • “Wait, this is a queen? She’s too pretty for that…”
  • “I hope she does more collabs with Tsupi…”

“What do you mean? Am I going on an adventure now?”

“Well, you’re not just going to sit around scratching your belly like some shut-in warrior, are you?”

“This spirit sure has a lot to say… Are you really my supporter?”

“Oh? You finally dropped the formal speech. You were being so stiff.”

  • LMAO
  • “What even is this? LOL.”
  • “A spirit that doesn’t know how to hold back… LOL.”
  • “She’s right, though. Yuwol, you’re not some shut-in warrior.”
  • “Our precious little warrior, Yuwol.”
  • “Honestly, I’d mess with Yuwol too if I were her.”
  • “No wonder she’s the Spirit Queen. Not just any spirit could talk to a warrior like this.”
  • “They’re both too cute, OMG.”
  • LOL.

I did drop the formal speech first, but… is this really okay?

Still, Tsupi and the chat seemed to be enjoying it, so I guess I should just keep going.

She had been telling me to speak casually for a while now. Tsupi must’ve been waiting anxiously for me to finally do it.

“So, what do I do now? You’re my supporter, so give me a quest.”

“I’m not a status window, you know? My role is to educate you.”

“I literally saved the world, and now you want me to sit and take lessons?”

A shadow fell over Yuwol’s avatar.

His slightly furrowed brows and the clear ‘I’m upset’ expression were plainly visible.

  • 100
  • Gasp.
  • Wait, he’s right. He already saved the world. What more do you want?
  • “He’s still a baby warrior! He has to learn!”
  • “That ‘baby’ saved the world, though…”
  • 100
  • Their back-and-forth is seriously perfect.
  • OMG.
  • Yuwol’s pouting. LOL.

“Hey, don’t glare at me like that, little warrior Yuwol.”

“…Fine.”

Whether in real life or in streams, Tsupi was the older one.

That alone was enough to keep me in check.

In the end, I relaxed my eyes and returned to my usual expression.

“Don’t get too discouraged. Even though it’s ‘education,’ the real goal is learning how to interact with people.”

“But you’re a spirit.”

“And you don’t have any friends.”

Sniff.

  • “Oh no, now he’s crying. LOL.”
  • “WHAT THE HELL. LOL.”
  • “WHAT ARE YOU TWO EVEN DOING?”
  • “This is education???”
  • “I mean… Yuwol is an introverted little shut-in warrior with social anxiety, so…”
  • “If you think about it, this might actually be proper education.”

“J-Just kidding! Don’t cry… okay? I’m sorry, alright?”

“Oh? Now you’re suddenly calling yourself my big sister?”

“Tsk.”

“So, when do we actually start our stream?”

As I shot a questioning look at Tsupi, she naturally took the lead in progressing the stream.

To be honest, even though I had been streaming solo for a week, I had zero experience with collaboration streams.

But I wasn’t too worried. I had watched the first collaboration streams of previous generations, so I had a general idea.

Of course, watching and actually experiencing it are two different things.

“Alright! We’ve stalled long enough. Yuwol’s adventure officially begins now! Everyone, keep up!”

“It seems tough to live as a spirit.”

“Quiet, little warrior.”

  • LMAO
  • LOL
  • This is too funny.
  • Honestly, Tsupi might be the real chaos in Märchen.
  • The fact that the entire world setting is interconnected is kind of insane.

Compared to my own streams, Tsupi’s flow was much smoother.

Technically, this was an educational stream for me, but she managed to make it engaging while staying in character and keeping the world-building intact.

She explained things like the personalities of the allies I’d meet in the future, how different adventures (various integrated games) ranged in difficulty, and how today’s goal was to explore the starting town.

She spent a full hour going over everything.

“Okay. Got it? Warrior Yuwol?”

“I still don’t get why we need to explore the town.”

“Because that’s the first step in a classic fantasy story.”

“Could you not break the fourth wall like that?”

  • LMAO
  • Even skits don’t get this ridiculous.
  • Breaking the fourth wall so casually, huh?
  • Tsupi is probably the real madness behind Märchen.
  • Why does the whole setting actually connect? This is wild.

“Since Yuwol seems to understand, let’s step out of the inn!”

“You can actually leave this place?”

“Of course, you need to put on your VR gear first.”

“Understood.”

  • What even is this? LOL.
  • Speechless.
  • “Understood,” he says. LMAO.
  • Wait, is Märchen actually forcing people to work overtime?
  • They prepared an entire VR map just for a large-scale collab?
  • [INFO] They’re planning to update it even more.
  • This is the ‘starting town’? Why didn’t they make this from the beginning?
  • All the generations’ settings are supposed to be unified. Why are they revealing this now?

Well, of course, no one knew.

Why reveal this map now? Because I made it.

More specifically, I started building it little by little after passing the first round of auditions.

There was no real plan. I just thought, “If I build it, maybe Märchen will buy it later.”

But I never expected to actually use it myself.

And now, Märchen is officially supporting it, so updates are happening even faster.

What a monster of a company.

Originally, the map was just trees, flatlands, and a few rocks, but now, there was an actual town and even monsters.

And naturally, killing monsters granted experience points.

The quality was high, and other generations would eventually be using it too.

This was part of the contract Märchen made with me.

With that, Tsupi and I switched from 2D to 3D.

In other words, we entered the virtual world.

Good thing I had VR equipment. Well, it was company-provided, of course.

The stream transitioned smoothly without issues.

After stepping into the VR world, I took a moment to look around the inn room where I had been staying.

A realistically sized room with a familiar appearance.

At around eight pyeong (approximately 26 square meters), it was exactly like the background I used in my streams.

“Alright. Shall we head out?”

Just as I was about to step forward, I heard a voice beside me and turned my head.

Tsupi was there.

She was the main culprit behind Märchen buying and revamping this map.

Just how far do Tsupi’s abilities reach?

With that thought, I simply nodded.

“Wait, before we go. Let me look around the room first.”

“Sure. We still have plenty of time.”

  • Wait… this is a VR map? Were all the ones I knew before just scams? Holy crap.
  • Märchen is literally a whole generation ahead of the industry.
  • Wait, is that…? Could it be Yuwol’s…?
  • This is seriously a next-level map.
  • Honestly, Märchen should hold an IRL meet-up here. It’d be amazing.
  • Isn’t this basically Yuwol’s personal map? It really feels like watching a hero’s journey unfold.
  • This straight-up feels like the perfect prologue to a classic fantasy.
  • I’m speechless. Absolutely stunning.

The Märchen of the Hero.

A one-of-a-kind massive-scale map that would never be made again.

The map was designed for continuous updates and allowed for seamless transitions between different stages.

Thanks to that, storage limitations were not a concern.
