Jiu Hua’s Mark and Jiu Hui’s Secret

Chapter 171,200 words10 min read

In Jiu Hui’s room, Jiu Hui watched Jiu Hua walk in unexpectedly, a slight start passing through her.

“Is something wrong, Jiu Hua?”

Observing Jiu Hua’s somewhat strange expression, a pang of unease tightened in Jiu Hui’s heart. ‘Could it be that I really did something to cause this?’ she wondered.

Jiu Hua remained silent, instead walking directly to Jiu Hui. As she stood before her, Jiu Hua suddenly raised a hand and pulled down Jiu Hui’s collar, revealing her smooth neck and delicate collarbones.

Jiu Hui gasped in surprise, then exclaimed, “Jiu Hua, what are you doing?!”

Jiu Hua’s gaze fell upon the two hickeys, one on either side of Jiu Hui’s neck. She bit her lip, then raised a finger and gently pressed it against the one on the left. Her eyes fixed on Jiu Hui’s, she asked softly, “What… is this?”

A sudden realization dawned on Jiu Hui. So, this was what had been bothering Jiu Hua all along. Once she understood, a strange sense of relief, for some inexplicable reason, washed over Jiu Hui. She parted her lips, about to speak, but found herself at a loss for any plausible explanation.

Should she say it was a lecherous woman named Lisa who had done it?

If so, she would then have to explain who Lisa was, and subsequently recount all her recent experiences to Jiu Hua. Regardless of whether she wanted to tell Jiu Hua or not, would Jiu Hua even believe her? Such a story would only make Jiu Hua suspect she was trying to conceal something, leading her to believe Jiu Hui had fabricated a ridiculous tale.

Yet, she didn’t want to lie to her either. Lies inflicted too great a wound upon those one held dear, and what might happen afterward was impossible to predict. One lie would necessitate more lies to cover it, building sentence by sentence into an irredeemable, colossal fabrication that would ultimately leave a deep, irreparable scar.

Jiu Hua watched Jiu Hui fall silent, and her gaze dimmed. ‘So it was true then,’ she thought.

A suffocating pain gripped her heart, yet Jiu Hua managed to force a smile. “It’s alright, Big Sister. If you truly like him, there’s no need to hide it from me.”

‘No, truly, she couldn’t bring herself to hurt her sister for the sake of her own possessiveness!’

Enduring the internal sting, Jiu Hua offered a slightly teasing smile. “Oh my, Big Sister, won’t you let your little sister have a look at the person who might become her future brother-in-law?”

At that moment, Jiu Hui looked at Jiu Hua, whose smile was so heartbreaking, and reached out helplessly to pat her head.

‘This silly girl, what on earth has she been imagining?’

Jiu Hui chuckled softly. “What’s all this about a future brother-in-law? Do you really think I, your Big Sister, would fall for a man? You know, I used to be a boy. Even though I was raised as a girl, it’s impossible for me to like men. Besides, when did I ever say I had someone I liked? That mark on my neck was merely an accident.”

Instantly, Jiu Hua’s eyes sparkled with bright light. She couldn’t help but ask, “Really?”

Jiu Hui gazed at Jiu Hua, whose eyes held a myriad of emotions—anticipation, apprehension, and delight. The curve of her lips softened even further as she ruffled Jiu Hua’s hair.

“It’s true, you silly girl. What were you thinking earlier?”

Hearing Jiu Hui’s definite answer, Jiu Hua’s eyes overflowed with joy. She wrapped her arms around Jiu Hui, a look of profound relief spreading across her face.

The sensation of plummeting from heaven to hell and then soaring back to paradise in such a short span of time caused Jiu Hua’s heart to tremble fiercely. Moreover, a wave of determination surged within her at that moment.

‘Since Big Sister doesn’t have anyone she likes right now, I will absolutely not let her fall for anyone else! I refuse to ever experience that feeling again!!’

Hugging Jiu Hui tightly, Jiu Hua wrapped her arms around Jiu Hui’s delicate shoulders from behind. Rising slightly on her tiptoes, she gently kissed the junction of Jiu Hui’s neck and shoulder, then slowly began to suckle.

Jiu Hui felt the tender press of Jiu Hua’s soft lips against her neck. She lightly bit her lower lip, then slowly closed her eyes, not resisting as she usually would.

‘Consider this compensation for now,’ she thought.

Thinking this, Jiu Hui allowed Jiu Hua to continue suckling on her neck. Jiu Hua’s movements were gentle, and she took her time.

Jiu Hui gently reached out and embraced Jiu Hua’s delicate body, feeling the soft form pressed tightly against her. Her heart, too, softened.

‘Honestly, why is this girl so infatuated with me? What’s so special about me?’

Gradually, Jiu Hua loosened her hold and released her lips from Jiu Hui’s neck, leaving a fresh, crimson mark there. Looking at the red mark on the pale skin, Jiu Hua smiled softly and whispered into Jiu Hui’s ear, “With my mark upon you, Big Sister, you are now mine.”

Releasing Jiu Hui abruptly, Jiu Hua didn’t give her time to react. Instead, she spun around with a light hop, flashed Jiu Hui a radiant smile, and then promptly left.

Jiu Hui looked at the now-closed door and smiled helplessly. She then gently stroked the new mark on her neck, a flicker of an unreadable emotion crossing her eyes.

Lying on her bed, Jiu Hui gazed at the ceiling. Her mind drifted back to the days when she was still a boy, living with Jiu Hua. From childhood, her parents had raised her as a girl, so in the eyes of strangers, she and her sister appeared to be a pair of adorable little sisters. Jiu Hua had seemed quite happy about this; perhaps she had always wanted a big sister.

Later, their parents went to work abroad, leaving Jiu Hui and her sister behind. Now grown, Jiu Hui had taken on the responsibility of caring for her younger sister. Although she had wanted to revert to men’s clothing at the time, she succumbed to her sister’s tearful onslaught. Thus, she had always worn female attire, playing the role of an elder sister. Gradually, Jiu Hua had begun to display an unusual affection for her, but had restrained herself, given that Jiu Hui was fundamentally still a boy. Her eyes often held expressions of conflict and regret.

It wasn’t until recently, when she had completely transformed into a girl, that Jiu Hua had become utterly infatuated with her, exhibiting a fierce possessiveness. Recalling Jiu Hua’s demeanor in the park earlier, Jiu Hui suspected it might not have been an act at all.

‘What would happen if Jiu Hua were to learn of her current circumstances?’ This thought suddenly bloomed in Jiu Hui’s mind.

Her body shivered imperceptibly.

‘It would be terrifying, wouldn’t it?!’
