The Next Day
Luo Yao opened his eyes to find the aloof woman still sitting in the same spot, staring intently at him.
The night before, after Luo Yao had said ‘no’ to Mu Yaochen, she had left in a huff. But this woman had appeared in the room at some point. Had she been sitting there all night?
Luo Yao blinked his sparkling eyes, looking at the woman with a hint of confusion. As soon as she saw Luo Yao awake, the woman rose effortlessly and left the room quietly.
It seemed she had gone to report back to Mu Yaochen. If everything went as Luo Yao expected, Mu Yaochen would be back in the room soon.
Sure enough, just as Luo Yao had predicted, Mu Yaochen’s tall figure appeared in the room again shortly after.
“Your condition has improved. Get ready; I’ll have someone handle your discharge paperwork.” Mu Yaochen leaned against the doorframe, her voice as cold as ever. After a night of contemplation, she seemed to have made up her mind about Luo Yao’s place.
“Okay,” Luo Yao replied, trying to stand but hindered by the handcuffs on his wrists.
“Frost, open those for him,” Mu Yaochen commanded, her eyebrows furrowing slightly. The woman known as Frost stepped forward, holding a silver key, and unlocked the handcuffs.
“You’re coming with me now,” Mu Yaochen said as soon as the handcuffs were removed. Luo Yao rubbed his sore wrists and followed her closely, amazed at how much she had changed overnight. Yesterday, she had been all over the place, but today, she was completely composed.
This was Luo Yao’s first time being a ‘s*ave,’ and he was both terrified and excited.
Soon, Luo Yao found himself in a super-long black sedan, sitting across from Mu Yaochen.
“Um…” Luo Yao swallowed hard, feeling uncomfortable under Mu Yaochen’s piercing gaze.
“Tell me how you plan to repay the eight million. If you don’t have a satisfactory plan, I won’t hesitate to put you up for auction tonight.” Mu Yaochen’s voice was as icy as ever, her expression serious.
“Um… okay,” Luo Yao replied weakly, unable to meet her eyes.
“Go ahead, tell me your thoughts. My time is valuable, and I don’t have extra to waste on games.” Mu Yaochen twirled a strand of her hair, her gaze flicking back to Luo Yao.
Luo Yao had spent the entire night thinking about how to repay the debt. It was 2016 in this world, five years before his own timeline. Despite the ethical upheavals, the technology was surprisingly similar. At least, the latest model of the Peach Phone was already on its seventh iteration.
Luo Yao hadn’t realized that his reflection in Mu Yaochen’s eyes had forged an unbreakable bond between them. Even her threats were just a pretense to keep him close. Even if he managed to repay the debt, what then?
“Um… I understand,” Luo Yao replied, maintaining a submissive demeanor, knowing that resisting a controlling person like Mu Yaochen would only lead to trouble.
“Speak up,” Mu Yaochen said, crossing her legs in front of Luo Yao, her eyes never leaving him.
“Well, if you…” Luo Yao began, but Mu Yaochen’s pupils suddenly dilated, fixing him with an intense stare.
“Call me Master! Luo Yao, remember your place. In my old temper, you should be on your knees before me. Today, I’m in a good mood, so you can sit.” Mu Yaochen’s expression darkened, her voice holding a threat.
Luo Yao was paralyzed by her fierce gaze, unsure of how to move. It wasn’t intentional; it was the combination of his body and Mu Yaochen’s commanding presence.
“Yes, Master. I just…” Luo Yao stammered, and Mu Yaochen nodded slightly, her legs resuming their slow sway.
“If you’re willing, could you lend me some capital?” Luo Yao asked, unsure of how to proceed with Mu Yaochen’s sudden shift in mood. Those with unpredictable tempers were the hardest to deal with. Luo Yao hadn’t realized that Mu Yaochen was enjoying his anxious expression.
It was 2016, a time when bubble tea was exploding in popularity in Luo Yao’s original world. But in this reality, tea and cola were still the dominant beverages. Wasn’t that an opportunity?
But Luo Yao was just a high school student. Even if Mu Yaochen agreed, there would be constant interferences. And eight million was far too much to repay with just a tea shop.
Luo Yao’s goal now was to resist her, but if he stood up and resisted directly, Mu Yaochen would make his life miserable. Their relationship was anything but legal.
Luo Yao didn’t want to reveal his future plans to Mu Yaochen. He knew that with her controlling nature, she would obstruct him from the shadows. To Luo Yao, Mu Yaochen was like a cat playing with a mouse, and he was the mouse.
“What do you want to invest in? And my legs are getting numb, rub them for me.” Mu Yaochen raised an eyebrow, her tone playful. She extended a leg encased in black stockings, placing it in front of Luo Yao. Her dark eyes held a lazy, feline gleam.
Luo Yao eyed the nearly perfect legs, swallowing hard. Mu Yaochen seemed to be using this as a way to remind him of his place, her eyes tracking his every move.
“If you want money from me, you’ll have to earn it. Take off your shoes and give my feet a good rub. If you really want to please me, you can try licking them.” Mu Yaochen’s words were a challenge to Luo Yao’s dignity. He was a decent person, and how could he possibly lick another woman’s feet? It went against everything he stood for. Even in his previous life, his girlfriend had never asked him to do something so degrading.
“Are you going to rub them or not? I’m tired of holding them up like this.” Mu Yaochen’s tone turned irritated, and she placed her feet on Luo Yao’s lap, nudging him gently.
Looking at the delicate, perfectly manicured feet, Luo Yao hesitated, caught between his pride and the command.
