Binding Each Other

Chapter 18 • 1,435 words • 12 min read

It was 2 PM, time to leave for the S City Survivor Base.

In her previous life, Ping Chengcheng had not gone to that base. After being scammed by Zhou Wen, she got lost in the huge city and finally escaped to the neighboring province. Therefore, she didn’t know if there were any dangers on the route to the S City base.

On the way, Song Ning kept telling the girl about precautions, such as not showing mercy to people who posed a threat to them and shooting them directly.

After driving along the edge of S City for four hours, it was getting late. They were still more than 200 kilometers away from the S City base. The visibility was poor at night, and the zombies were becoming increasingly dangerous. They had no choice but to drive into a farmhouse restaurant to spend the night.

The restaurant was quite large, with three floors and an area of about 7,000 square meters.

Carrying a hammer, the moment she stepped through the door, Ping Chengcheng felt something unusual.

Was this place too clean?

Walking to a dining table, Ping Chengcheng frowned and reached out to touch it.

Slippery, greasy…

Someone lived here!

Realizing this, Ping Chengcheng’s heart was on high alert.

“Hands up! Put down your weapons now!”

Instantly, a swarm of people poured out of the farmhouse’s private rooms, roughly estimated to be more than twenty.

“F*ck!” Wu Sheng couldn’t help but exclaim in surprise, looking at Ping Chengcheng in a panic. He didn’t want to be robbed here!

However, Ping Chengcheng obediently dropped the hammer in her hand, then looked pitifully at the people surrounding her.

“Brothers and sisters, woo, we’re just passing by.”

“Passing by?” A man squeezed out of the crowd and stepped forward, revealing a mocking smile. Then he looked at the van semi-trailer and the Sabretooth outside the gate.

“Hmm…the cars are nice, though. There must be a lot of supplies inside, right?”

“Let me introduce myself. I’m Huang Zhong. If you’re willing to stay here for a while and give us the supplies, I’ll spare your lives.”

He looked at Ping Chengcheng and Song Ning with interest.

Song Ning looked puzzled. What was Ping Chengcheng doing? She was still acting in front of this man.

She could just take out a handgun and send him away directly.

However, she soon understood Ping Chengcheng’s intention.

The girl looked pleadingly at Huang Zhong. “I, we promise you! Please, don’t kill me. The supplies are all inside. Go get them.”

Huang Zhong enjoyed the girl’s helpless gaze. He called out to the back, and instantly, a corridor opened in the middle of the crowd. A dozen guys holding self-made crossbows walked out menacingly and trotted to the van semi-trailer at the door.

A bald man rudely pulled open the iron door, and the guns in the van blinded his eyes. His heart beat violently.

“Holy, holy sh*t—”

“Bang!”

Everything happened in an instant! A bloody hole was opened in the bald man’s head, and he fell to the ground. Even in death, there was a strong look of surprise in his eyes.

Two guns appeared in the girl’s hands at some point, dual-wielding them, looking down on everyone with disdain, as if she had the world in her hands, as she looked at the dozen or so people holding crossbows.

“Put down your weapons!”

She said it delicately, to Song Ning’s surprise.

Huang Zhong’s face turned black, and he cursed himself for being careless. He quickly squeezed to the back of the crowd. “F*ck, get them! There are so many of us. She only has two guns. What are you afraid of!”

The crowd turned from panic to fanaticism. Yes, she only had two guns. Whoever grabbed them would be the king of this place!

“Charge! Snatch the guns!”

“Damn it, I want that woman!”

Looking at the guys rushing towards them like zombies, Song Ning couldn’t help but laugh.

Then, to everyone’s shock, she and Wu Sheng took out their handguns.

“Bang! Bang! Bang!”

Instantly, there were several more corpses on the ground. The crowd retreated like a tide, reversing their previous mania, and screams rose and fell.

A dozen crossbowmen standing in front of the semi-trailer looked at the weapons in the carriage with fanaticism, but they didn’t dare to act rashly. Their crossbows were self-made, and they couldn’t hit the girl here.

After a few seconds, someone couldn’t help it…

“F*ck, watch me throw a grenade!” He said, taking steps towards the carriage.

“Bang!”

The bleak cold wind blew, and blood sprayed out in an arc.

“Anyone who dares to move dies!” The girl’s face was gloomy.

Song Ning felt a pang in her heart when she saw the girl’s performance.

She was so pure and lovely, but this damn apocalypse had turned her into this. If Song Ning had met Ping Chengcheng in peacetime, she would have wanted to keep her as the most precious pearl and cherish her carefully every day.

Damn apocalypse!

In Song Ning’s opinion, today was the first time the girl had killed someone, and she must have a very serious psychological shadow, just like her before.

She must comfort the girl well tonight.

“Everyone, don’t be afraid. Let’s charge together. She’s dead as soon as we get the guns!”

Someone else incited, but no one dared to move.

Ping Chengcheng couldn’t help but laugh.

“Brothers and sisters, why aren’t you moving?”

The crossbowmen looked at each other and gave the girl an awkward smile.

“Sister, it’s all a misunderstanding. Can you put down your gun? Let’s talk nicely.”

They tried to get closer to the girl with flattering smiles, entering the range of the crossbows. This was ten meters away from the farmhouse, and the hit rate was extremely low.

“Get out, just stand there!” The girl’s face was cold, and she said in a sweet voice. The dark muzzle of the gun was constantly reminding people: Get any closer, and be careful to lose your life…

“Put down your weapons!”

“Damn it, just you three, watch me—!” A man suddenly shouted, aiming his crossbow at the girl.

“Bang!—”

Before he could fill the arrow, he had already fallen to the ground weakly.

Silence…

No one could have imagined that this girl’s marksmanship was so accurate.

“I said, drop your weapons, or you die.” The girl’s eyes were cold, exuding a bit of killing intent.

Song Ning stood next to the girl, feeling very uncomfortable.

If she was strong enough, wouldn’t the girl need to experience such cruel growth?

Seeing that everyone was still not acting, the corners of the girl’s mouth curled up slightly, and her voice was sweet and lovely.

“What are you hesitating about, brothers and sisters?”

“There’s no time to hesitate!”

“Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!”

In just three seconds, her fingers were so fast that it was unbelievable. Everyone who was unwilling to drop the crossbows in their hands fell into a pool of blood.

Ping Chengcheng turned around, her eyes indifferent, and swept over the crowd in front of her, and the people suddenly rioted.

She then looked at Song Ning, their eyes met, and she became full of weakness, with a faint mist floating in her eyes, as if she was about to cry.

Ping Chengcheng immediately threw herself into Song Ning’s arms and started crying.

“Woo woo, Sister, it’s so scary, I killed someone, woo woo woo…”

Wu Sheng was sweating. This guy was acting so much like it was true. If he hadn’t seen the girl transform into an evil tentacle monster with his own eyes, he would have believed it!

While the two were showing their affection, Wu Sheng was not idle either.

“Hurry up, find ropes for me and tie each other up!” He spat out a very outrageous sentence.

The people looked at each other, feeling that it was too f*cking heaven-defying.

“Bang!” A gunshot rang out, and a bullet crater appeared on the ground.

“Damn it, didn’t you hear me!? Hurry up!”

The crowd scattered and found ropes, then gathered together to tie each other up, afraid that they would eat bullets if they tied up too slowly.

“Yawwn~” Ping Chengcheng had been acting like a spoiled child in Song Ning’s arms long enough, and she crawled out and yawned. Her voice was not loud, but everyone heard it.

Instantly, the people who were happily tying each other up didn’t dare to move.

“Bang!”

“Hurry up! Useless people!” Wu Sheng said arrogantly, taking advantage of his position.
