Chapter 18: Member-ship only broadcasts are dangerous

[Thread 36 discussing VTuber Kaino Izumi]

21. Is Mei-chan actually a real Vermi-yuk?

22. 21 << Then what does that make the motives of those who have actually seen Mei-chan?

23. If she has a big chest and is sexy, her femininity is high. Note…

24. So, big breasts are a fantasy for women too.

25. 24 << But what Mei-chan is saying feels a bit creepy…

49. The devilish company ‘Stars Flow’ recognized by its affiliated VTubers.

50. But why is Mei-chan saying such things? It’s a bit unsettling.

51. 50 << It’s a company that made her do RP that doesn’t fit her at all, so she can at least joke about it.

52. But these days, it seems like Mei-chan is enjoying it too.

53. 50 << She talks about it and laughs too, just take it as a joke, please.

54. She knows, so Mei-chan listens and laughs.

55. But why does Mei-chan’s laughter sound so eerie?

56. 55 << Because she’s actually an eerie person.

88. Look at her heavy breathing, haha.

89. Her favorite person did a special appearance for a commemorative collaboration, so it’s understandable.

90. Virtual Ontuber Kaino Izumi, too excited that she graduates.

91. Nosebleed haha.

92. How much do you have to like something to get a nosebleed from excitement, haha?

93. I’ll buy the tissue stained with that nosebleed.

[Title: Why does Kaino Izumi talk so creepily?]

[Posted by: AyakaSenseiIsSoPretty]

Aren’t they going to punish someone for sexually harassing Ayaka by saying her chest is big or calling Star Flow devilish?

There’s gotta be a line, right?

ᄋᄋ: This guy just wants to compliment Ayaka’s chest but can’t, right?

ᄂAyakaSenseiIsSoPretty: Shit, I got caught…

Loo: Haha, is it the same line again?
Loo: Hahaha.

Ayakari: Only those who have never thought of such things about Ayaka can throw stones at him.

Loo: But it’s hard not to want to compliment Ayaka when you see her…

ᄂOyaBung: Is this… Ayaka’s child…?

Loo: I wondered why this post was so weird, haha.

ᄋᄋ: Ayaka’s child level ᄃᄃᄃᄃᄃ
Daekena: Got a lot of anger built up, haha.

This is really truly valuable!

[Recommended: 77 / Not Recommended: 3]

ᄋᄋ: Just the hyperventilating before this video is real, haha.

ᄋᄋ: Isn’t she really just trying to fulfill her desires by joining Star Flow?

ᄂMei-chanLove: Don’t slander our Mei-chan, you bastard!

ᄋᄋ: The eerie smile of a cute high school girl with a nosebleed.
Loo: Oh.
Lᄋᄋ: Oh, haha.

[Izumi!]

[Thank you for always telling everyone that you’re the eighth star during every broadcast!]

[Izumi will definitely become a great VTuber loved by everyone. Izumi and I are similar.]
“헤헤.”

Her clear voice flows into my ears like the gentle stream of a river.

How many times has it been?

Since right after yesterday’s collaboration ended, I’ve been hearing it continuously, probably more than 100 times.
Is it okay for someone like me, completely unskilled and just causing trouble, to receive such praise from Natchan? I feel so happy I might just die.

“히히히.”

Turning my body to look at the ceiling, I see the various stickers I put up when I was young sparkling.

And I reached out with all my might towards the star-shaped sticker among them.

Of course, nothing could be caught in my hand.

Stars are never something you can reach, after all.
“흐히히히힛.”

But just the fact that I can reach out is enough for me.

The fact that I can’t touch it only intensifies the overwhelming feeling swelling in my heart.
“으음.”

Ding ding ding, an alarm from my phone signaled 4:30 PM.

It’s about time to prepare for the broadcast.

Today is an important broadcast, so I need to prepare properly.
[Izumi!]

[Thank you for always telling everyone that you’re the eighth star during every broadcast!]

[Izumi will definitely become a great VTuber loved by everyone. Izumi and I are similar.]
…Alright, I’ll listen to it just three more times.

[【Membership Exclusive】 First Membership Broadcast #KainoIzumi #StarsFlow]

On Ontube, there is a function called membership, separate from channel subscriptions.

In simple terms, it means that viewers become members by donating a certain amount monthly to a specific channel.

While it might seem like a simple waste of money, there are various benefits for viewers who join that VTuber’s

membership. For example, they can view posts on the community board exclusive to members of that channel, and

they are also given badges to prove they are members of that channel.

And among those, the most important is the membership-exclusive broadcast I’m about to do, abbreviated as

“Mengen” (X>限).
As the name suggests, it’s a broadcast that only those who have subscribed to the membership can watch.

In Mengen, we usually discuss things we can’t say in regular broadcasts or show things we’re practicing.

For example, Natchan’s Mengen chatting broadcast on February 23rd was legendary…

Well, anyway, it means we do various things.

And what I’m going to do in this membership-exclusive broadcast is…

“C-Congratulations, everyone! I’m Kaino Izumi from Stars Flow, a mood maker dreaming of a world where everyone can smile…”

It was just a chatting broadcast.

  • Hi, Izumi!
  • Hi, Izumi!
  • = Axel JP¥ 30,000: Finally, it’s the membership-exclusive broadcast! I enjoyed yesterday’s collaboration.
  • “Thank you for the red hyper chat, Axel. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed it. It’s thanks to my colleagues’ support.”
  • Glad you know that.
  • For sure.
  • What Mei-chan did was turn the association game into an association game, haha.
  • “Wow…”
  • Such sharp rhymes that cut through so quickly.
  • It seems to bring tension back to the relaxed VTuber scene.
  • So, what’s the first Mengen about?
  • “Well, as you can see, I’m planning to just chat for now.”
  • I could have prepared a lot of things to do.
  • I could have gotten a game to play with Izutomo.
  • But the reason I chose the hardest chatting broadcast for me is…
  • “I definitely felt it during the collaboration yesterday. I need to learn how to converse a bit more.”
  • It’s for my ongoing VTuber activities.
  • Above all, I want to change this personality.
  • Even if making friends is too much to ask, I’d like to fix things like stuttering or avoiding eye contact.
  • You’ve grown, Mei-chan ᄋ(TᄉTo)
  • Is this the Mei-chan who asked how to escape during collaborations? (ᅮ_ᅮ)
  • I also wanted to let people know what I’m really like.
  • The people in this broadcast are the ones who subscribed to someone like me, so it’s okay to be a bit honest.
  • For example, to say that I’m not really an ultra social person or a mood maker…
  • I wonder how surprised the Izutomos will be to find that out.
  • Well, they’ve probably already figured out that I’m a total loser with a creepy communication disorder…
  • …Why did my broadcast turn out like this?
  • No matter how I think about it, it feels like Stars Flow did something wrong.
  • “Anyway, this is just a chatting broadcast without much preparation, so feel free to ask whatever you want.”
Well, I said to feel free to ask, but, naturally, the chat was full of topics related to yesterday’s collaboration.
  • Have you talked or met with Natchan aside from yesterday’s collaboration?
  • “I-I’ve done that once. During my two-week period of self-reflection, Natsune-senpai sent me a DM to cheer me on.
  • This is a treasure of my lifetime. Isn’t it envious?”
  • During that period of self-reflection, I felt really low, but thanks to Natchan’s DM, I was able to overcome it.
    What about beyond that?
  • How about suggesting a collaboration next time?
  • “Eh? I-I collaborate with Natsune-senpai? No way. I’d seriously die. How could someone like me collaborate with Natsune-senpai…”
  • There’s no way I could do something so presumptuous.
  • For someone like me, just talking to Natchan feels like too much.
  • Unless Natchan directly suggests it, it’s absolutely impossible.
  • But there’s no way that would happen anyway.
  • I think Mei-chan needs to reduce these negative parts.
  • “I’m not negative. The world is the problem.”
  • A firm belief that prevents her from stuttering.
  • Normally, if someone else said this, it would sound like a middle schooler’s line, but coming from Mei-chan, it feels a bit sad…
  • “Shut up!”
    Just so you know.
  • What’s important for a girl is empathy, empathy!
At times like this, instead of throwing harsh realities, you should empathize.
  • If I weren’t a former man with a mental age of a 40-year-old, I wouldn’t have been able to accept this.
In fact, am I not an angel?
  • These viewers are all accepting it with smiles, too.
  • Ah, by the way, speaking of angels reminds me…
  • “By the way, during the collaboration yesterday, did you feel something scary from the nose at any point…?”
    ?
It was the same as usual, why?

It seemed strange no matter how I thought about it.

I clearly heard Koga-chan mutter, “Well, shall we just move on for now?” when I mentioned my first impression.

However, when I watched the collaboration broadcast alone yesterday, I didn’t hear Koga-chan’s words at all.

Thinking I misheard it feels off because the atmosphere I felt at that time doesn’t seem like a lie.

It was really scary, you know?

  • But if there was something like that with Suzuhachan, maybe it was Mei-chan’s fault?
    For sure…
  • Suzuhachi doesn’t seem like someone who would nitpick for no reason.
  • “…Oh. Then, I guess it’s my fault.”
  • Yeah.
  • That’s right ᄏᄏ
    “How cruel!”
I never realized how hard it was to receive empathy like this…
★Before I knew it, over an hour had passed since I started the chatting Mengen.
With this, I’ve probably gained quite a bit of communication experience today, right?“Um, then slowly…”

JP¥ 50,000: After watching yesterday’s collaboration, I’m curious about Mei-chan. Do you ever think twice before speaking, sir?
    =
“Ah, thank you for the red hyper chat, sir. …I-I don’t have anyone around me who would say such things, right?”

I don’t have friends, so my communication skills are lacking; it’s a strange question.
Why is this the last question?

  • Ah
  • 01…
  • Sorry.
  • Don’t cry.
    “Eh?”

But for some reason, the atmosphere in the chat felt strange.
What’s going on? I only answered as usual, right?

  • We messed up.
  • I’ll keep it light in Mengen.
  • Reflecting (..)>

As I scanned through the chat, it seemed my tone sounded like I was about to cry.

I was just running low on communication stamina…

= Izutomato JP¥ 50,000: I love your hard work, so keep it up!
=

JP¥ 50,000: Thanks to Mei-chan, I can smile every day lately. Keep fighting! Tomoizu.
…Well, shall we go with that!
