Attack! Academy!

Chapter 191,054 words9 min read

12:20 p.m.

The campus was silent.

Occasionally, the sound of fighting broke through from some distant area.

Two hours had passed since the competition began.

[What’s going on? Where did everyone go?]

[Hey, did you switch to the wrong livestream? Some of the cameras might’ve lost track of the students.]

[Still, that doesn’t explain why my screen is black.]

Class C.

Not a single person remained seated.

A gentle hum drifted through the vast and empty classroom.

A girl sat atop the teacher’s desk, legs swinging in the air.

Her ink-blue hair was tied into two curly ponytails.

Most of her face was hidden behind long bangs.

Only her delicate chin, propped on her hands, and her pale pink lips were visible.

In front of her was a massive screen.

Dozens of video feeds filled the monitor, showing flickering images of students in motion.

Her one visible eye stared intently at the screen.

Pale blue light reflected in her purple pupil like the gleam of a weapon.

Through the chaotic figures on-screen, she picked out a white figure.

The corners of her mouth lifted into a faint smile.

Target: acquired.

“Bang!”

A loud thud came from outside as someone slammed against the classroom door.

The girl didn’t look away.

Her gaze remained fixed on the screen until the figure vanished.

Only then did she slowly turn to look at the entrance.

A pair of glossy pink leather boots stepped through the doorway.

Just moments ago, they’d been crushing someone’s neck.

“Did you find the target?”

A sweet, syrupy voice called out.

“Rinyue, try not to make such a ruckus next time.”

“This is Alice Academy, not your personal playground,” the girl on the desk said indifferently.

The girl called Rinyue also had ink-blue curly hair.

She lazily twirled a lock of hair in her fingers and giggled.

“Rindong, don’t be so mean.”

“I was just kindly moving a little ant aside.”

“It fainted because it was weak, not because I was too strong.”

Rindong didn’t respond.

She couldn’t be bothered to question whether her sister’s “accident” was deliberate.

“The target’s in Experimental Building No. 1.”

“About 2,000 meters away.”

She jumped off the desk.

At her feet lay two crushed surveillance drones.

Rinyue casually nudged a limp body beside her with her toe.

“Then let’s have this one show us the way.”

Rindong looked at the unconscious girl.

She had short hair and was clearly out cold.

“Wake her up, Rinyue.”

Both girls wore the Alice Academy uniform.

But Rinyue had clearly customized hers.

Her standard-issue boots had been replaced by her signature pink pair.

“No thanks.”

“I don’t want to touch her.”

“What if she dirties my hands?”

Rindong silently stared at her twin’s identical face.

Then she crouched down without a word.

Her fingers, cold as ice, lifted the unconscious girl’s eyelid.

Behind her bangs, her violet eyes glowed faintly.

The next second, the girl stirred awake.

She showed no fear.

Even after recognizing her attacker, she calmly got up.

She bent at the waist in a respectful bow.

“Master, what are your orders?”

“Go to Experimental Building No. 1.”

“Understood.”

Rinyue, her identical twin, stood nearby with a twisted smile.

She tilted her head and said, “Rindong, you don’t act like a defective at all.”

Rindong turned to look at her.

“Is that so?”

“You do.”

“Hahaha, I really hate your mouth.”

“One day, I’m going to rip it off.”

Her grin bloomed like a flower.

A butterfly knife suddenly appeared in her hand.

Its icy gleam sliced through the air, aimed straight at Rindong’s eye.

But a long staff blocked the blade with a sharp clang.

Rindong had produced it at some unknown moment.

In a blink, the two sisters exchanged dozens of deadly blows.

The short-haired girl stood obediently at a distance.

Her expression vacant.

Awaiting her next command.

A few broken surveillance drones wouldn’t raise alarm.

Most eyes were fixed on the more intense battlegrounds.

Elsewhere, Wang Ning was holding the issued wooden stick.

She ducked and weaved between trees, dodging the hovering surveillance drones.

She was cautiously looking for a place to hide.

Suddenly, the terminal on her wrist vibrated.

Her eyelid twitched.

Goddamn, could you not scare me like this?!

Which sick bastard came up with these insane rules?!

[Rule 1: Class rankings will refresh every two hours. Final standings will be based on total territory points.]

[Rule 3: Territories can be seized repeatedly. Eliminate the original holder to claim the zone.]

[Rule 10: No restriction on methods of conquest, but no killing allowed.]

This is practically war!

They may as well have told us to kill each other!

The only way to score high was to eliminate rival classes.

Wang Ning opened the campus map.

Nearly every region had been claimed.

An alert popped up.

Two classes had been eliminated.

Seven remained.

What shocked her the most—

One of the eliminated classes was Class B.

Second only to A Class in strength.

Her heart skipped.

If even Class B had been wiped out—

That meant someone had taken out every single person in that class.

In just two hours, over seventy students had been knocked out.

More likely—

Someone was deliberately targeting the strongest teams.

Wang Ning’s breath caught.

Her nerves tensed.

She looked again at the terminal.

Then turned her eyes toward Experimental Building No. 1.

That was where her own squad from A Class was stationed.

For some reason, people had bizarrely high confidence in her ability to lead.

The forest and lake near the lab had already been claimed.

They belonged to Class C—currently ranked first.

Their next target…

Would undoubtedly be the lab.

On the magic web, Alice Academy’s bootcamp had already hit the front page.

[LOL, B Class probably never expected four other classes to gang up on them. That was brutal.]

[Weird. Why isn’t A Class even showing up on the scoreboard?]

[Looks like they haven’t claimed a single zone. Are they even trying?]

[Wait, I swear I saw the angel flash by! Camera, follow her!]

Meanwhile, Wang Ning dove into a thick shrub.

A few drones buzzed overhead.

I give up.

Why are these damn livestream drones only following me?

Translation Issue:

Her standard-issue boots had been replaced by her signature pink pair.

You just said both twins have inky BLUE hair – and how do you replace boots with hair anyways?

My bad, misread “pair” with “hair”. Go ahead and ignore/delete this.
