Chapter 19 : Purpure Arrives at Daloreum Castle

“May your pilgrimage be safe!”

“Cute demon lord! See you later!”

The ship that departed from Moonlit Pier dropped us off at Moonrise Castle without any major problems.

As expected, it’s incredibly convenient to be friends with the village chief.

“You guys take care too.”

There’s no need to make enemies unnecessarily.

I raised both hands and waved to the uncles waving their hands on the large ship.

“It’s really convenient to be able to use the river route.”

“It didn’t even take half a day, did it? It was true that we could get to Moonrise Castle quickly if the wind was right!”

The saint, Dominicus, and the hero, Maeve, smiled brightly and spoke.

“Purpure was also surprised to arrive so early.”

The large ship was fast despite looking heavy.

It was amazing to arrive in half a day on a route that would have taken several days to walk.

“Maybe the pilgrimage will end sooner than I thought!”

“How long did you think it would take?”

“I thought it would take about… 1,000 days?”

Walking to the end of the world?

Still, if you walk on two feet, it might take that long, right?

“Anyway! Since we’ve arrived at Moonrise Castle, let’s eat something!”

Maeve’s eyes sparkled, and she touched my shoulder and walked forward.

As expected, the pier was incredibly crowded with cargo and people going up and down the ships.

It wasn’t quite a wave of people, though.

“It feels subtly similar to Moonlit Pier, yet different.”

“Is Maeve saying that because the buildings are made of wood?”

“Uh, isn’t it? I’ve only seen buildings made with red and black wood like this in East Haven.”

Maeve said as she entered the street where the smell of people began to emerge.

It feels strange to hear a woman with shiny blonde hair say that.

But I can’t deny it either! Everywhere I look, I see buildings that remind me of China or Japan, and Korea.

Should I call it an oriental style, it’s completely different from the western kingdoms.

“Come on! Come on!! We have precious medicinal herbs!”

“This fabric, you see. It was woven by artisans in the west, and it’s not easy to get even there.”

“Oh my! You damn rascal! Stop shedding fur and move aside!”

Moonrise Castle had many more people than Moonlit Pier.

There were many peddlers shouting to sell even a little more goods.

There were knights in shiny armor walking around, and beggars begging in shabby clothes.

If there were young ladies wearing ordinary colorful clothes and covering their faces with fans, there were also young masters wearing silk clothes and laughing heartily.

“There are a lot of people in Moonrise Castle.”

“Because this is like the entrance to East Haven.”

“Conversely, it means that people from East Haven also have to go through here to go to the west.”

It must be so crowded because people with the same purpose are coming and going from the west and the east, right?

The incredibly diverse smells and people passing by make my eyes and nose dizzy.

“Ah, I think there’s a delicious smell coming from over there?”

Maeve twitched her nose like a dog and pointed to a street far away where blue lanterns were floating.

The savory smell of oil wafting gently in the wind is the right answer!

What kind of delicious food will there be here, I’m already drooling and my stomach feels like it’s going to rumble.

“But unfortunately, it seems difficult right now.”

“Ugh… Did we get off too much during lunchtime? There are too many people?”

Even at a distance where the delicious smell was faintly felt, so much that Maeve frowned a little, people were swarming.

“There are a lot of people lined up at each shop.”

“It’s not just one or two people, is it? There are almost ten people lined up.”

“Purpure wants to slowly look around and choose something delicious to eat!”

When will I ever come to Moonrise Castle again?

I want to try the local specialties.

I don’t want to just fill my stomach!

“Hmm…! Then there’s no other choice, let’s do this instead!”

Maeve took out a scroll from her large travel bag and said.

“Do you remember the letter of recommendation Rian gave us?”

“He said there was a craftsman who made carriages in Moonrise Castle.”

“Are you saying we should find that craftsman first?”

Maeve nodded.

“That’s right! Since he’s someone we have to meet anyway, the sooner we meet, the better!”

“Since he knows Moonrise Castle well, he might be able to recommend delicious food.”

“Purpure thinks that’s totally good!”

If I can’t even properly look around the shops, it would be better to deal with the shiny quest first!

The carriage craftsman introduced by Village Chief Rian lived in a somewhat secluded place in Moonrise Castle.

The streets where people were bustling and all kinds of delicious smells were wafting were noisy in a different way.

There were a lot of people here too.

But they weren’t people who were busy just looking around, they were people who were busy working.

“It reminds me of the artisan district… Purpure! Look over there! There’s even a blacksmith’s shop!”

“I also see a shop with various precious medicinal herbs hanging.”

There was also a shop displaying clothes made of shiny silk and fabric, and a shop with a strong scent of flowers.

This place also feels like a place full of life in its own way.

“Let’s see… It’s a house with a black roof and a horse decoration…”

Maeve looked at the letter here and there and pointed with her finger.

“There it is!”

The house that the hero ran to with a lively voice was a bit bigger than I thought.

It’s about 4 times bigger than the shops around here?

It seems that the saying that they make large and good quality carriages is not a lie.

“Hello! Is anyone there! Hello! Rian recommended us, so we came here!”

Maeve, half rude and half lively, shouted vigorously.

“Hmm… It’s strange.”

On the other hand, Dominicus looked around the large building with a very cautious expression.

“What’s wrong?”

“Unlike other shops, it’s so quiet that it feels cold.”

A blacksmith’s shop noisy with the sound of iron being struck.

A clothing store full of the giggling laughter of young ladies.

A pharmacy bustling with an old man getting angry saying it’s a scam.

Unlike the shops I’ve seen so far, the craftsman’s house was incredibly quiet.

“There aren’t any carriages either.”

In the large open space, there was only one broken carriage.

It looked like it was impossible to even tell how long ago it was made.

“Uh… Is no one there? Hello! Hellooo! I’m a hero!”

Was it a 200-year-old story, so it was meaningless?

Maeve pushed open the large wooden door with a lively spirit.

“Hello! Rian of Moonlit Pier… Ugh!”

“Who is it… Who is it, so loud this morning, hiccup…?”

Maeve was surprised and stepped back at the appearance of the carriage craftsman who appeared with an incredible smell of alcohol.

“Awawa…”

The craftsman was a woman with shiny auburn hair that reached her ankles.

She was wearing black clothes that were not just loose, but quite revealing.

This is not just comfortable to move around in, it’s almost like she’s wearing a blanket!

I can see your chest and belly button!

“Ah… that’s…”

“Get lost… Haa, I told you I wouldn’t make it. Get lost, get lost.”

The craftsman’s condition was not normal, to the point that the lively Maeve could not speak to her in a friendly way.

“It seems you’re drunk.”

“Even Purpure can see that! Saint!!!”

The carriage craftsman’s right hand was holding a pure white bottle of alcohol even at this moment.

She was even drinking it with every breath she took.

Helpful, you say! You’ll make a carriage, you say!!

Grandpa Rian!!!

“Um… First of all, I’m a hero…”

“Hero or whatever, I told you to get lost!”

The carriage craftsman shouted loudly, pointing her finger.

Are you even having a proper conversation with us right now?

Every time you move your body, the smell of alcohol is stronger than the smell of your body?!

“Th, that’s! Hello! Rian of Moonlit Pier wrote a letter of recommendation, could you take a look?!”

Maeve is a hero for a reason.

You’re showing the letter of recommendation that Village Chief Rian wrote to a person who is completely drunk.

“What… Hiccup! Old man Rian… A letter of recommendation?”

The craftsman scratched her chest where sweat droplets had formed, took the letter of recommendation with the hand holding the bottle, and looked at it here and there.

“That damn… old man…”

The woman, muttering softly, stuck out her tongue and licked the alcohol in her hand, then sat down on the threshold.

“The old man… wrote it because he doesn’t know.”

“I heard you were very skilled…”

“Bullshit… Hiccup, it’s an old story.”

The carriage craftsman chuckled and glared at Maeve and me with a dazed face.

“I can’t… make it, I can’t make it for you. Don’t waste your time and go.”

The woman’s atmosphere became surprisingly soft, but in the end, she refused us the same way.

“It seems difficult.”

“Hmm… Well, we can just walk as we originally planned?”

Dominicus and Maeve naturally gave up.

I was going to do that too.

Because I didn’t have the confidence to persuade someone who was completely drunk and saying they couldn’t do anything.

-Squish!

I thought so until I saw ‘Blue Desire’.

A creature shaped like a giant water droplet emerged from the shadows and trapped the carriage craftsman’s face.

As if to actually show the appearance of being drowned in alcohol.

“It’s my fate…”

The carriage craftsman muttered painfully and opened a new bottle of alcohol and tilted it.

“Then excuse us…”

“What’s your name?”

I can’t just leave the inflated seven!

I held out my small hand to the carriage craftsman and said.

“Wha….?”

“Purpure is Purpure. The terrifying great demon lord.”

The carriage craftsman looked at my hand with a stupid expression.

“If there’s anything you want to eat, Purpure can make anything.”

“What…?”

“So get help from Purpure and make a carriage.”

You can eat the seven and get a carriage.

How can I miss the chance to kill two birds with one stone!

“Irene… My name is Irene…. Terrifying great demon lord, hiccup.”

The carriage craftsman, Irene, held my small hand while swaying.
