Join the ServerSu Nanxing was on the sixth floor.
He took the elevator straight to the top floor.
As the elevator rose slowly, his phone vibrated.
He tapped the screen, and a message from Gu Yanzhou popped up: [Be good. I miss you.]
He pushed open the door to private room 1088.
The room was dimly lit.
He spotted Gu Yanzhou immediately, sitting in the main seat, long legs casually stretched out, lounging lazily on the sofa.
The usual aloofness on Su Nanxing’s face melted away, replaced by an obedient, pure young man’s demeanor.
He called out softly, “Yanzhou!”
He strode over and sat directly on Gu Yanzhou’s lap, wrapping his arms around the man’s neck, his voice soft and coquettish.
The innocent boyishness from moments ago had already taken on a hint of tender charm.
In the darkness, Lin Muze lowered his voice and cursed, “Damn! These two really don’t treat us like humans!”
Su Nanxing only then realized there were others in the room.
Following the sound, he saw Lin Muze covering his eyes, shrinking into the left corner, and beside him sat Qin Shifeng, his face full of shock.
Qin Shifeng had only seen the cold, distant President Su; he had never seen Su Nanxing so delicate and soft.
He was frozen in place, utterly stunned.
Instinctively, Su Nanxing wanted to get up and hide, but Gu Yanzhou held him down, casually pulling him to his right side and using his broad frame to block the two men on the left from view.
Lin Muze said, sounding uninterested, “Are you done showing off? Can I open my eyes now?”
Su Nanxing was so embarrassed he wished he could crawl into a hole.
He gave a dry laugh toward the two on the left and greeted them politely, “Hello, President Qin. Hello, President Lin.”
Only then did Lin Muze move his hand from his eyes, unable to resist complaining, “Bro Zhou, can you let us live? I thought my ears were suffering enough, but it turns out my eyes suffer more!”
Gu Yanzhou shot him a cold, warning look, signaling that if he couldn’t speak properly, he should shut up.
Qin Shifeng looked at Su Nanxing with a meaningful gaze and half-joked, “Nanxing, why are you back again?”
Su Nanxing’s heart tightened.
He instinctively cast a pleading look at Gu Yanzhou.
Gu Yanzhou was very satisfied with Su Nanxing’s obedient demeanor just now.
He tightened his arms, openly pulling the young man close, exuding an undeniable possessiveness.
He looked up at Qin Shifeng and said bluntly, “My man naturally listens to me. Do you have a problem with that, President Qin?”
This one sentence completely clarified his intimate relationship with Su Nanxing and unambiguously warned Qin Shifeng, cutting off any improper thoughts he might have.
Qin Shifeng was perceptive.
During their previous interactions, he had already seen through the tangled ambiguity between the two.
When Su Nanxing had deliberately avoided mentioning his relationship with Gu Yanzhou in front of him, he had caught the hidden disappointment and grievance in the young man’s eyes.
He secretly regretted that such a dazzling person should not be trapped in the shadows, living cautiously and humbly.
He deserved to be openly treasured, to receive public recognition and affection.
Qin Shifeng had wanted to offer him that light.
He had learned early that Su Nanxing was socializing downstairs, so he specifically organized this gathering, inviting Lin Muze and Gu Yanzhou.
He still harbored a trace of testing: if Gu Yanzhou was unwilling to face this relationship, he would protect Su Nanxing at all costs.
But now, everything was clear.
He sat in the shadows where light and dark intersected.
The smile at the corners of his mouth gradually faded.
No one could see the complex emotions churning in his eyes—relief, regret.
Held tightly in Gu Yanzhou’s arms, Su Nanxing was completely immersed in sudden joy.
Warmth surged in his heart.
Gu Yanzhou had openly acknowledged their relationship in front of friends—something he had never dared to hope for.
Lin Muze, on the side, was inexplicably force-fed a mouthful of dog food and almost forgot the main business of the day.
He casually sidled up to Su Nanxing, sitting very close.
Gu Yanzhou immediately shot him an unhappy glare.
Su Nanxing also disliked close contact, but he still maintained polite courtesy: “President Lin, if there’s anything I can help with, just say it.”
Lin Muze, as if grasping at a lifeline, grabbed Su Nanxing’s hand and asked urgently, “Can you tell me the name of that friend of yours who borrowed my car?”
Su Nanxing was startled by his sudden move.
He instinctively tried to pull his hand back, but the other held it tightly.
Gu Yanzhou’s cold, displeased voice rang out immediately: “Let go!”
Lin Muze realized his rudeness and quickly released Su Nanxing’s hand, stepping back.
He hurriedly explained, “Bro Zhou, I didn’t mean to. I’m just too excited!”
“Second Young Master Su, don’t mind me. I really have urgent business with your friend.”
Su Nanxing was bewildered.
He didn’t understand who Lin Muze was talking about.
He looked at Gu Yanzhou in confusion.
Gu Yanzhou said flatly, “He’s probably talking about Lu Ran.”
Su Nanxing suddenly understood.
Then his heart tightened.
He quickly asked, “What do you want with him?”
“Damn! That fool borrowed my car. I mean, he borrowed it, but I don’t even know his name, and he just waltzed off with my McLaren!” Lin Muze looked aggrieved.
Su Nanxing suppressed a laugh, thinking to himself, ‘Not even knowing the person’s name and still daring to lend the car—who’s the bigger fool here?’
Wait, a McLaren?
That was Lu Ran’s favorite car!
Had Lu Ran really driven it away?
But Lu Ran was never that reckless.
He quickly pulled out his phone, found a photo of Lu Ran, and showed it. “Is that him?”
Lin Muze stared at the photo of the young man in a red racing suit and cursed inwardly, ‘Sure enough, a demon!’
He nodded. “Yeah, that’s him!”
Now it was Su Nanxing’s turn to panic.
Lu Ran had returned to Jiangcheng and was driving a McLaren.
He must have gone to Qiuming Mountain!
He anxiously dialed Lu Ran’s number, but the ringtone rang again and again—no one answered.
Su Nanxing paced restlessly in the private room, muttering, “Answer the phone, Lu Ran. Answer the phone…”
Gu Yanzhou frowned, a dark gloom surging in his heart.
He couldn’t understand what weight Lu Ran held in Su Nanxing’s heart that could make him so frantic and lose composure.
The fourth call was finally answered.
Lu Ran’s cheerful voice came through.
– “Hey, Xingxing, I’ll be back tonight. I’ll show you something good when I get back! Gotta go—”
– “Lu Ran, don’t hang up!” Su Nanxing almost shouted, his voice trembling with panic. “Are you at Qiuming Mountain?”
There was a moment of silence on the other end.
– “Yeah. But don’t worry. Yesterday I taught that bastard Su Hao a good lesson. Today, after I take care of He Feng, they’ll never dare bully you again!”
Su Nanxing’s heart sank to the bottom.
Lu Ran was going to get into trouble!
His voice trembled as he urged.
– “Are you driving Lin Muze’s car? Listen to me—leave Qiuming Mountain right now. Their cars can’t outrun you. Go!”
At that moment, Qiuming Mountain was noisy with the arrival of Su Hao and He Feng.
Lu Ran only caught fragments—”Lin Muze” and “car.”
He shouted back.
– “What? Who’s Lin Muze? Xingxing, I can’t talk now. Gotta go!”
When Su Nanxing called again, the phone was already turned off.
Lin Muze had clearly heard Lu Ran’s shout.
The guy didn’t even know who he was!
He was about to blow his top when he saw Su Nanxing kneel down with a thud in front of Gu Yanzhou, his eyes red, his voice full of pleading: “Gu Yanzhou, I need to go to Qiuming Mountain. Right now!”
Gu Yanzhou didn’t agree immediately.
He stared into Su Nanxing’s eyes and asked coldly, “What is he to you?”
Su Nanxing was momentarily stunned, sensing Gu Yanzhou’s anger.
But he couldn’t care about that now.
He explained urgently, “He’s my friend—my only friend in Jiangcheng! He went to Qiuming Mountain for me. He Feng and Su Hao won’t let him go. Please, take me there.”
Gu Yanzhou felt the names were familiar.
He pressed on, “When I first saw you at Qiuming Mountain, were those two there too?”
Su Nanxing nodded vigorously, bitterness in his eyes.
He Feng and Su Hao had always tried to humiliate him.
If not for Su Bingtian’s covert restraint, Su Hao would have long since openly pushed him toward He Feng and the others, leaving him to be bullied.
During those days in Jiangcheng, Lu Ran was the only one who had saved him from dire straits.
