Chapter 19: The Chaos Follows

[Are we watching a literal hell broadcast?]

It wasn’t just Lieutenant Colonel Heath who was in shock the viewers watching the stream were just as stunned.

[This might be the most brutal play in Untouchable’s history.]

[He just wiped out hundreds of enemies alone?]

[How did he do that? How did he do that?]

[I watched it happen, but I still don’t get it.]

[How is this even possible?]

[This game isn’t a hack-and-slash type…]

Untouchable was a game that prioritized realism.

The idea that a single person could take down hundreds was unthinkable.

New viewers, unfamiliar with such feats, felt like they had just witnessed something supernatural.

[Insane!]

Even the veteran viewers who had told the newcomers to wait and see were now cursing in disbelief.

[Not just spears, but he’s good with guns too?]

[I thought cute girls with guns only existed in 2D…]

[Crazy… he’s absolutely insane!]

[At this point, what can’t he do?]

[Are we sure he’s not a Hunter?]

[If he’s a high-ranking Hunter, this might make sense.]

The viewers had gone beyond admiration to pure shock.

<Agent has donated 400,000 KRW>

<Sonic has donated 30,000 KRW>

<007 Minus the 00 has donated 50,000 KRW>

<Animal Kingdom has donated 100,000 KRW>

Overwhelmed, they started throwing donations at him as if paying tribute.

As the donations kept rolling in, a faint sobbing sound was heard.

“Hh… Hh-hh…”

The voice belonged to Lieutenant Colonel Heath.

Despite being a soldier, he had abandoned all composure and was now crying.

[Yeah, go ahead and cry.]

[We totally understand.]

Instead of mocking him, the viewers expressed their sympathy.

He had gathered his comrades to seek revenge, only for every single one of them to be slaughtered by a single person.

No one would blame him for breaking down.

“You… You monster!”

Lieutenant Colonel Heath let out a furious, grief-stricken scream.

He aimed his gun at Seyul with shaking hands.

As soon as he pulled the trigger in desperation, Seyul raised his own gun as well.

Both guns fired at the same time.

Nothing happened.

“…?”

[What just happened?]

Even though they had both fired, neither of them had been hit.

As Heath and the viewers stared in confusion, they noticed something by chance.

Two bullets, crushed and fused together mid-air.

“O-OH!!!”

The chat went silent, and Heath trembled like a leaf.

It was undeniable proof Seyul had shot down an incoming bullet with his own.

“Looks like you’re out of options.”

Seyul spoke as he gazed at the trembling Lieutenant Colonel.

“If you’ve got nothing left to do, make your decision.”

“…What do you mean?”

“Will you run, or will you die?”

Technically, Heath was Seyul’s in-game comrade.

He had even recruited him into Untouchable out of concern.

That was why Seyul had offered him mercy.

But it only backfired.

“Even if I run, do you think I’d have a life worth living?”

They had planned a terrorist attack, and now their entire organization had been wiped out.

Even if he survived, a normal life was no longer an option.

Having lost everything, Heath slowly raised his gun to his own head.

“You were the true Untouchable we had been striving to become.”

With that bitter declaration, he pulled the trigger.

The bullet pierced through his skull.

[The conditions for the True Ending have been fulfilled. Seyul has unlocked the world’s first True Ending!]

A sudden system message popped up.

“Huh?”

[Wait, what?]

Both Seyul and the viewers were stunned by the unexpected notification.

<True Ending: Untouchable>

[At the crossroads of fate, your final decision was to never compromise with injustice.]

[Even when the world abandoned you, you stood by your beliefs and fought against terror until the very end.]

[At last, even the Untouchables fell before your unyielding spirit.]

[You are the true Untouchable!]

Seyul hadn’t intended any of that.

Yet, the narration painted him as a champion of justice.

Then, the ending credits began to roll in midair.

Everyone, who had been baffled by how abruptly the game was ending, finally snapped back to their senses.

[This is the true ending?]

[This? This?!]

[Wait, this game had a true ending?!]

The chat erupted in a collective scream.

The confusion was understandable even the game’s most devoted fans had never heard of a true ending before.

[There were tons of endings, all of them depressing.]

[But none of them were the true ending?]

[So, the fact that it’s called the ‘Untouchable’ ending means…]

[The game isn’t named after the organization. The protagonist had to destroy it and earn that title?!]

Most viewers were left speechless at the sheer absurdity of it all.

The game had been out for years, yet no one had ever imagined such a hidden ending or its deeper meaning.

And the requirements to unlock it? Absolutely insane.

[Hey, you maniacs!]

[The devs must be out of their minds!]

[What kind of condition is this?!]

[So, if you kill hundreds of armed soldiers in the prologue, you get the true ending?]

[That’s literally impossible.]

[They made an ending no one could ever find!]

[At least drop some hints!]

[If not for today, this would’ve stayed undiscovered forever!]

The chat had devolved into a ranting session over the sheer ridiculousness of it all.

‘What the hell?’

Seyul was just as dumbfounded.

He had planned to play through the game properly, but now he had already seen the ending.

‘Shouldn’t there be more? Like getting revenge on the higher-ups who abandoned me after taking down the Untouchables?’

He had assumed there would be more content.

After all, no matter how much destruction he caused in Warrior of the Gods, the game never just ended.

Just when things were getting interesting, the game had cut to an abrupt finish, leaving him feeling empty.

“This was a waste of money. What kind of game is this short?”

[You’re the one who made it short!]

He had wiped out all his allies at the very start who was he to complain?

A viewer let out a desperate cry, but since Seyul couldn’t see the chat, it was meaningless.

“Tch.”

Clicking his tongue at the wasted money, Seyul turned the game off.

Since the credits were about to finish rolling anyway, this was at least a proper way to end the stream.

[He turned it off without a word.]

[But to be fair, we got our fill this time.]

Since the ending felt somewhat justified, the audience’s reaction was more subdued than last time.

With the streamer gone, the viewers began chatting amongst themselves.

[Forget just beating the game he cleared it completely.]

[No one had ever discovered this true ending before.]

[Who is this guy?]

[How does one person wipe out an entire military base?]

[Is combat ability proportional to beauty or something?]

[I need to tune in again next time.]

Everyone was preparing to log off, still relishing the aftershock of the ending until it happened.

[Wait!]

[He started another one!]

[Warrior of the Gods is back!!!]

The stream, which they thought had ended, suddenly resumed.

The unmistakable opening of Warrior of the Gods played on-screen.

Dissatisfied with Untouchable’s abrupt conclusion, Seyul had immediately moved on to his next game.

The viewers, who had been about to leave, stopped in their tracks and cheered.

[The River of Division we have returned!]

[I’ve been dying to know what happens after last time.]

[Time to destroy the Water God!]

Excited chatter filled the stream.

It had been a while since Seyul last played Warrior of the Gods, but the game resumed exactly where he had left off.

He had just crossed the river.

As his wet clothes clung to him, he began wringing them out returning once again to his shimmering bikini form.

[Oh my!]

[How indecent!]

Despite the viewers’ exaggerated reactions to the suggestive scene—

<Huueung has donated 80,000 won.>

<Kkilkkil has donated 30,000 won.>

<Unicorn has donated 90,000 won.>

<Heukwoong has donated 20,000 won.>

– the flood of donations made it clear how they really felt.

[So, this is Warrior of the Gods?]

[I’m not really into fantasy games.]

[But… it’s not bad.]

[Why is he stripping while being censored by light?]

[Is this an R-rated game?]

[Wow, this is insane.]

Newcomers had joined the stream.

The viewers who had originally come for Untouchable had simply followed along.

[Why are you guys still here?]

[After watching what he did in the last game, I have to see what he does in this one.]

The image of Seyul single-handedly taking down a helicopter was still fresh in their minds.

If he could wreak such havoc in a military game, what kind of chaos could he unleash in a full-blown fantasy setting?

Curiosity kept them from leaving.

And so, the original viewers remained.

New viewers, drawn in by word of mouth, kept trickling in.

And the Untouchable crowd stayed put as well.

Total viewers: 4,570.

In an instant, the number had surpassed 4,000.

[Wow, he’s really pretty.]

<Labirin has donated 10,000 won.>

[Is this some kind of cam show?]

<Hayashi has donated 9,000 won.>

[Show us something even crazier than the helicopter crash this time.]

<Tartarus has donated 250,000 won.>

With more viewers came more donations.

Thousands of people, showering him with money.

And Seyul, blissfully unaware of the chaos unfolding in his chat, simply lifted his clothes.

‘This won’t end abruptly like Untouchable, right?’

He wrung out his soaked outfit, put it back on, and warily glanced around.

The sudden conclusion of Untouchable still nagged at him.

Unlike that game, he was already feeling attached to this one.

Hopefully, it wouldn’t cut him off just as things got interesting.

With that silent wish, he moved forward.

He walked.

And walked.

Until, in the distance, something came into view.

A small village.

Of course, this wasn’t an ordinary village this was a monster village.

In Warrior of the Gods, monster territories often contained settlements like this.

For players, these villages were nothing more than hunting grounds.

They would invade, slaughter the monsters, and farm them for experience and loot.

Meaning, the creatures here were nothing more than low-level mobs.

‘…What happened here?’

But something was off.

The village monsters who should have been mere cannon fodder were in terrible shape.

Seyul, who had wandered in absentmindedly, was slightly taken aback.

Most of them were covered in wounds, bandaged from head to toe, barely clinging to life.

The village itself was in ruins, buildings shattered and crumbling.

And he hadn’t even done anything yet.

[Did Seyul Mark II pass through here or something?]

[Damn, at this point, places just self-destruct as soon as he shows up.]

A viewer, staring at the obliterated village, commented with a mix of amusement and horror.

Really… the protagonist is female, the viewers also see her as such, but why both narration and viewer refer her as him the entire chapter? My auto-filter of MTL os working overtime ; w ;
