Chapter 1921,313 words11 min read

The enemy spies hidden in a foreign land fear nothing more than their identities being exposed to the masses.

The more people who know who they are, the more perilous their situation becomes.

And now, “Aurelia’s” actions could be described as tearing away their camouflaged skin entirely, manifesting their filthy thoughts and desires for all to see.

Except within the Demonic Abyss Empire, a demon’s identity makes them a rat crossing the street in any region of Seraphis—everyone wants to beat them. Even the Vampires, whose habits and appearances are most similar to demons, explicitly resist having any dealings with them.

While a demon’s identity inspires dread, once you are off your home turf and exposed, you will face endless pursuit and a collective mobbing.

The moment the camouflage of the Demon God’s Eye was shattered, that malevolent eyeball locked onto “Aurelia” with deadly intent. Bloodshot veins, as dense as spiderwebs, erupted across the eye, and a beam of purple energy shot directly toward the girl.

The beam was incredibly fast, and the distance between them was too short to easily dodge.

At the critical moment, the girl pulled the pre-prepared Crystal Sword from her pocket.

Pure mana was injected into the sword; the Crystal Sword, originally only the size of a thumb, instantly restored itself to the size of a normal dagger.

Holding the Crystal Sword before her, a dazzling elemental shield formed by mana collided with the energy beam.

Boom!

Another deafening explosion rang out, but this time it kicked up no dust.

As everyone shielded themselves from the aftershock and looked back at the center, the scene before them left them frozen in place.

This… this isn’t right…

Where the hell is the big White Dragon Saintess? Why is there an Elf standing on the field now?

The “Archbishop” even rubbed his eyes in disbelief. When he regained clarity of the situation, he finally confirmed that the one previously disguised as Aurelia was actually an Elf.

Dammit… the opponent wasn’t even a dragon, and yet not a single teammate on his side had recognized her!

In the end, it took the locking mechanism of the Demon God’s Eye to break her disguise.

What an absolute disgrace!

“A Moon Elf? No, that’s not it…”

Xenora was about to identify the race upon seeing that representative silver hair, but fortunately, she took an extra look at the girl’s eyes. That exquisite emerald color made her realize something was wrong.

“A Gold Elf with silver hair… You are of the Elven Royalty!”

Although the wicked attack of the Demon God’s Eye had been perfectly blocked by the Crystal Sword, the layer of disguising power clinging to her body was completely dismantled. Selina’s identity was now fully exposed; both layers of her “armor” had been pierced through.

“Did it really take you that much effort to confirm my race? As expected, demons really are a bit slow in the head~”

Selina tossed the scimitar in her hand, her emerald pupils secretly calculating the number of enemies around her.

As for Delphina, who was shielded behind her, although she had seen parts of the provided memories and was somewhat mentally prepared, the feeling in her heart was still quite surreal when she was actually rescued by such a beautiful Elf.

As a powerful member of the Dragon Tribe, she had actually been saved by a delicate and beautiful Elf. And from the look of things now, the opponent’s identity was likely a Princess of the Elf Kingdom.

“Don’t the Elves pride themselves on being peaceful and kind? Why are you now interfering in the internal affairs of the Great Dragon Divine Dynasty?”

The “Archbishop” narrowed his eyes, while his remaining intact hand was hidden behind his back, secretly gathering power.

“What a classic case of shifting the blame. You demons are doing these dirty, underhanded things, and yet you won’t allow the Elves to help an ally?”

The mana and blood in her body had entered their most active state.

Selina faced the demons with a smile while analyzing the overall situation and considering the best battle plan.

“Heh, since when did the Great Dragon Divine Dynasty become allies with the Elf Kingdom? Little Elf lady, you can eat whatever you want, but you shouldn’t just say whatever you want…”

The surrounding demons were waiting for a single look from their leader, the Archbishop. Xenora beside him was also poised to strike, waiting for the opponent to show the first opening.

“’Saying whatever I want’? Laughable. You, a demonic clown who jumped out of some sewer, actually have the nerve to question whether a Princess is qualified?”

Selina gave a contemptuous smile, and then, the Crystal Sword in her hand slashed out without reservation.

A violent and pure beam of mana instantly swept across the field. The Demon God’s Eye hovering in the sky emitted a demonic light, enveloping all the demons present.

Even with the protection of the Demon God’s Eye, many demon grunts failed to survive the blast of the elemental beam from the Crystal Sword. Pure and extreme elemental power was like concentrated sulfuric acid to a demon’s body.

After the wave of elemental baptism, the “Archbishop’s” shell shattered.

Layers of pitch-black keratinous armor were exposed to the air. His crimson, sharp eyes burned like subterranean fire, and four demon horns of varying lengths on his forehead emitted a faint demonic aura.

As pitch-black wings like a bat’s unfurled from his back, it was clear that the demon before them was a truly powerful Greater Demon.

“A Divine Artifact?!”

The demon lowered his head, looking at the burn marks left on his hands and chest armor, muttering to himself.

Despite his armor, he was actually injured.

The aura emanating from this Gold Elf was merely at the High-tier.

A High-tier Elf who hasn’t undergone a long chant to release a powerful High-tier magic shouldn’t be able to cause effective damage to a true demon.

Yet this Gold Elf, merely by relying on that Crystal Sword, had fired an elemental beam in a short time that could pierce through both the Demon God’s protection and his own armor.

Without a doubt, that Crystal Sword must be a Divine Artifact!

Only a Divine Artifact could exert such formidable power.

“To think that a Princess of the Elf Kingdom would become an Apostle of the God of Elements at such a young age…”

The demon spoke, a clear note of surprise in his raspy voice.

Becoming an Apostle requires more than just the favor and blessing of a deity; it also requires the individual to possess sufficiently strong power. After all, if a deity bestows great power upon you and you can’t handle it, you’d just explode.

That would truly make one the laughingstock of the entire continent.

“What, you’re not questioning whether this Princess is qualified anymore?”

With the Divine Artifact in hand, Selina’s confidence was bolstered significantly.

Initially, she hadn’t planned on bringing out the Crystal Sword, nor did she plan to expose her identity.

Having finally had the chance to wear a “mask,” she wanted to take the opportunity to break free from the shackles of her Princess status and brandish her twin blades freely.

The enemies were demons; it didn’t matter how heavy their defenses were. Years of Princess etiquette had kept her from enjoying the thrill of unbridled combat and slaughter for a long time.

Unexpectedly, even with its exterior camouflage shattered, that eyeball still possessed a satellite-like tracking and attack capability.

That was the genuine power of a Demon God; without opposing divine power, it was impossible to counter.

The current situation was that her identity was fully exposed and her trump card was out. It seemed that a fierce battle was now unavoidable.
