The girl gently patted the head of a ferocious-looking Miss Ghost, praising her with a sweet, “So well-behaved.”
However, Miss Ghost clearly had no intention of being well-behaved. The hair on her head suddenly surged, growing wildly.
Clusters of dark, tangled hair twisted and snaked outwards, growing wildly like venomous little snakes. In an instant, the girl found herself heavily enveloped.
“Hm?”
The girl seemed to have completely underestimated Miss Ghost’s capabilities. She stood dumbfounded, making no reaction, allowing the strands of hair to completely encase her.
“Roar-wa-wa!”
Miss Ghost let out a venomous roar, and all the hair strands tightened abruptly.
“Splat!”
As if something had been shredded, the moment the sound rang out, the strands of hair collided in the air and then scattered, blooming into a pitch-black flower.
Individual strands of hair drifted downwards, but among them, the girl’s figure was completely gone.
“Wah-ka-ka… Wah-ka-ka…”
Miss Ghost was presumably laughing, but her tongue was still tangled around herself, making her laughter eerie and grating to the ear.
Suddenly, however, her laughter ceased, for she had been lifted into the air once more.
The girl, who was thought to have been shredded and dispersed by the hair, had once again seized Miss Ghost. This time, she grasped her by the hair.
“Such thick hair. It’s been a while since you’ve had it trimmed, hasn’t it?”
The girl flashed an exceptionally eager smile as she addressed Miss Ghost:
“I’ll be kind enough to help you out.”
As she spoke, the girl extended her other hand. It was pale yet remarkably beautiful, and from the tips of her five slender, jade-like fingers, nails glowing with a chilling, eerie light slowly elongated.
The five nails resembled five sharp razors. Each time they sliced across Miss Ghost’s scalp, they brought down a large clump of blood-matted hair.
“Roar! Roar! Roar!”
“Don’t be shy, really. It’s just a small favor, no need to thank me at all.”
“Oh, Miss Ghost, you’re being too much of a stranger.”
“After all, we live in the same dorm building. As fellow students, helping each other is only proper.”
…
The girl seemed to have an endless stream of words, continuously prattling on while shaving Miss Ghost’s head. It truly painted a harmonious picture of classmates helping each other.
Of course, if any other living person witnessed this scene, they would likely be scared out of their wits.
When the last clump of hair was shorn by the girl’s nails, Miss Ghost dropped to the ground, rolling around and howling incessantly.
The girl flicked the hair from her hands. The strands drifted in the air, and before they could fully reach the ground, they gradually dissipated into the air.
The girl clapped her hands together, her nails having already retracted to their normal length.
She crouched beside Miss Ghost, who had now stopped rolling and howling. Miss Ghost lay on the ground as if paralyzed, only emitting incomprehensible sounds from her throat.
“Oh? It seems the hair was her true form?”
The girl couldn’t help but run a hand through her own long hair. She hadn’t imagined that merely shaving a head would inflict such a devastating blow upon Miss Ghost.
“Sigh, I originally wanted to make a friend.”
“But you’re only aggressive; there’s no way to communicate with you.”
“Then there’s nothing for it…”
The girl’s hand reached towards Miss Ghost’s face, and sharp nails instantly sprouted from her fingertips.
“Don’t be sad. As long as your scalp is there, your hair will grow back.”
“Also, I’d like to borrow something from you. If you don’t agree, you can just leave.”
After the girl finished speaking, she waited for a moment. Miss Ghost was too weak to make any movement.
A joyful expression crossed the girl’s face, and she chuckled:
“So that means you agree! You truly are a good ghost!”
With that, her fingertips gently flicked, and two round, rolling eyeballs appeared in the girl’s hand.
The girl covered the empty eye sockets with her palm. When she removed her hand, a pair of greyish-white eyes now rested there.
This time, the girl genuinely blinked her eyes, and everything in the room appeared clearly in her vision.
As for ghost eyes, they naturally see much clearer at night than during the day.
Looking at the paralyzed Miss Ghost on the ground, the girl found her bald head to be quite striking.
‘Nice work!’
Even though Miss Ghost’s empty eye sockets lacked eyeballs, the girl could still feel a venomous ‘gaze’.
“Don’t look at me like that. I said I’m borrowing them. Once I find my own eyeballs, I’ll come back and return yours!”
“Besides, your eyes were still there when you died, so they’ll grow back eventually. It’s that patch of scalp you lost before you died that won’t grow back.”
“Alright, let’s leave it at this for tonight. You get some good rest; I won’t disturb you anymore! Goodnight!”
With that, the girl floated out of the room. Behind her, the door automatically closed.
“Ugh… G-g-g-g…”
Suddenly, the girl floated back through the door. She had returned.
“My apologies, I forgot to untie you.”
Untangling Miss Ghost’s tongue, the girl swiftly floated out of the room.
Miss Ghost’s tongue slowly retracted into her mouth. A moment later, she seemed to recover somewhat. Her body floated upwards, moving beneath the ceiling fan. Since her hair wouldn’t grow back anytime soon, she extended her tongue and wrapped it around the fan. Thus, she remained suspended beneath the ceiling fan.
