As the door opened, the cacophony of bustling crowds and endless traffic from outside amplified severalfold, striking her with exceptional clarity.

Stepping into the second-floor corridor, Lan Ruobing leaned on the railing.

Below, she saw rows of taxis and campus buses moving along the street, all marked “For Examinees Only.”

Boisterous onlookers gathered nearby, while traffic police, flags in hand, directed the flow.

It was precisely the legendary scene of the College Entrance Examination.

‘What is this…’

Lan Ruobing frowned, then suddenly realized.

She had only just remembered that today was the Mythical Continent’s annual, universally recognized Awakening Day!

–“Who is this?”

–“I’m Lan Nuo’s girlfriend. I’m checking out on his behalf.”

When the pipe burst, she even had to fix it herself.

It was outrageous.

–“How did he manage that?” Her voice suddenly rose, as if in disbelief. “Of course he managed it! My boyfriend is a high-rank ability user, highly sought after by major companies. His future is bright, his potential limitless, yet he remains humble and kind, and he’s always been wonderful to me.”

–“You ask how he managed it? If he can’t manage it, then who possibly could?”

–“Someone like your Er Pang, who drools all over the floor when he sees a pretty girl, that’s how one manages it, right?”

–“…” The other end of the line choked, only speaking after a moment. “How do you know about my…”

Lan Ruobing quickly hung up.

‘That was close, I almost gave myself away.’
