A Pervert’s Proposal

Chapter 20 • 1,315 words • 11 min read

Gritting her teeth in simmering fury, she vowed that, given the slightest opportunity, she would personally dismantle the Skyfire Cannon and recast its materials into new breast armor.

In that very moment, within the mental space, Gloria observed the anxious girl in reality. Her gaze then drifted to the mental body before her, which had entered standby mode after connecting to the outside world. She let out a soft whistle, then, from behind her back, produced a dark, inky dagger and subtly slid it down her collar, concealing it within her sheer gown.

“It’s not Gloria’s fault, you know. End By just moved on its own.”

X would be utterly incapable of locating this incriminating weapon within the dimensional rift—or so Gloria hoped. Even if she did, Gloria would never, under any circumstances, admit to her involvement.

The sole reason she had previously diminished X’s chest was that those “large treasures” were so voluminous they impeded movement, their excessive aesthetic appeal sacrificing all practicality. Originally, she had intended to emulate the Foolish Old Man, completely removing those obtrusive, towering peaks. This would not only make it easier for her to adapt to the body and execute fluid movements, but also prevent her from getting stuck when navigating spatial rifts. However, out of respect for the original owner’s wishes and the novel sensation, she had ultimately preserved a certain amount of the breast material.

It was absolutely not because she was consumed by jealousy.

As for the charging port and the self-regenerating anti-chemical membrane, they too had been excised for equally impractical reasons.

It was absolutely not because, while sharing a body with X, she had personally experienced the pleasures of the charging port and the cool membrane, causing this ten-thousand-year-old, untouched maiden to blush uncontrollably, crying out, “This shouldn’t be!” and, in a fit of pique, permanently severing those modules.

While Gloria had acted for swift satisfaction, a single cut, forever eradicating future troubles, X, on the other hand, was now suffering immensely.

“My treasures are gone, all gone,” X wailed. “You’ve all abandoned me. What purpose remains for my existence?” Her head drooped despondently, her hands weakly propped on the ground, and her pristine white hair fanned out around her. Having lost her very source of joy, she felt as though the greater part of her life’s meaning had vanished. To merely cling to existence like this, she mused, was worse than being annihilated by a single cannon blast. Disregarding her status as a demon god, any potential transactions, or even the prospect of rebirth, she wept mournfully, like an old woman widowed in her twilight years, and no amount of comfort could reach her.

“Waaah, I’ll never be able to feel joy again! What’s the point of being human if I can’t?”

Hmph. Gloria was utterly baffled, having encountered such an eccentric being, one so fiercely devoted to her own desires that she would abandon even her life for the sake of pleasure.

She hadn’t yet told X that, for the sake of X’s health—and equally for her own sanity—she had most helpfully deleted all the pleasure-inducing materials from X’s database.

Who knew if X would try to fight her to the death upon discovering this fact?

Therefore, Gloria would absolutely never admit it. Everything was the doing of the Heart of the Galaxy’s Phase Wave Cannon, and it was all Skynet’s fault. Blame Skynet for initiating its thought purification campaign!

“Waaah, how am I supposed to help myself now? I never looked truly human to begin with; it was only when I ‘helped myself’ that I felt most like a person.”

Recalling those days in her dark past, when she would activate “overload mode” with her materials, the sensation had been akin to an oil gush erupting from beneath her body, utterly intoxicating. Yet, since this most recent death, all those joys had dissolved into ephemeral bubbles, leaving X with a profound sense of loss.

This display of utter self-abandonment was enough to give even the widely experienced Gloria a headache. Unsure how to console such a pervert, Gloria simply sat beside her, observing in silence.

It wasn’t until the sobs subsided and X’s consciousness refocused within the mental space that she opened her round, golden eyes, gazing tearfully at Gloria like an abandoned puppy.

Gloria’s precognitive ability immediately blared an alarm.

Oh no, she thought. This strange child definitely has something devious planned.

“Gloria-chan.”

“Hmm, what is it?” Gloria replied, attempting to maintain a gentle expression and a voice as soft and pleasant as possible, though inwardly, she was already braced for a fight.

“I’m still awaiting your answer, you know.”

“You said you once suffered a defeat in the Demon God War, battered until your soul scattered, then were sealed away in a junkyard by the Divine Realm, only escaping through some clever contrivance, didn’t you?” X began. “And now you are extremely fragile, urgently needing to retrieve your physical body, is that correct?”

“I… you could probably interpret it that way.”

Forcing the crude words back down, Gloria took a deep, steadying breath.

Gloria, you must calm down, she admonished herself. She’s merely an ignorant little girl, completely oblivious to the brutality of the Demon God War. There’s no way she could comprehend the dire disadvantages Gloria’s faction faced during the Age of Chaos.

What does “battered until my soul scattered” even mean? she fumed internally. I, alone, ventured deep behind enemy lines, obliterated a quarter of the Supreme Divine Realm’s military might, then faced three of their five strongest combatants. Overwhelmed by their combined assault, I made a glorious sacrifice! How dare anyone describe that as being “beaten to a pulp and tossed into a junkyard”?

Though, in terms of the actual outcome, my soul was indeed scattered, and I was utterly pulverized, she conceded, why does her description sound so utterly insulting?

Never mind, she decided. As a dignified Demon God, I shall not stoop to bickering with a mere bubble.

As if oblivious to the captivating expressions flickering across Gloria’s face, X continued blithely, “And so, between life and death, I inadvertently called out to you. Because we are both beautiful maidens, your soul became attached to my body. Now, you’ve proposed a transaction, asking for my help to retrieve your remains. In return, I am permitted to make a reasonable request, correct?”

X’s golden eyes once again sparkled with light.

“Then, my request is quite simple: once you retrieve your body, may I engage in ‘pleasure’ with you?”

I knew it, Gloria thought. This girl is absolutely brimming with lewd thoughts.

Before Gloria could even refuse, X adopted the demeanor of an injured animal cub in need of solace.

“Gloria-chan, look,” she began, “we are both unfortunate souls, adrift in the world, and both beautiful maidens… beautiful lolis. It should be perfectly normal for beautiful maidens to ‘cuddle’ and comfort each other’s hearts, shouldn’t it?”

Do you truly look like you merely want to ‘cuddle’?! Gloria fumed internally. You incorrigible pervert, to actually make a move on a loli! I’ll send you to the Supreme Divine Realm to face the Laws of Reason judgment!

“I know Gloria-chan certainly has no prior experience in this area,” X continued, a cunning smile inadvertently peeking from beneath her slender, jade-like hand as she covered her lips. “If you truly can’t accept this condition, a mere touch within the mental space would also suffice. I’m not in a hurry, you see.”

Her smile widened. “You must truly need my help, wouldn’t you agree? If there’s genuinely no one else to assist you in establishing roots in this world, then I am willing to be your sole choice.”

“You… you…” Gloria stammered, her ahoge twisting into an angry, tangled mess atop her head, while dangerous red light pulsed continuously around her body. “Gloria-chan, I await your reply.”
