Can’t You Figure Out What You’re Shooting At?

Chapter 201,406 words12 min read

Qiweiya was remarkably adept at finding people. As an Origin God, she held dominion over all things in the world. In essence, she *was* the world, and the world *was* she.

It wasn’t long before she located a small team of three. Though they appeared quite young, each member possessed the formidable strength of a Level 5-6 military combatant, truly continent-spanning geniuses.

The leader was a handsome Youth with pink hair and crimson eyes. Flanking him were two small, blonde-haired lolis with blue eyes.

One of the blonde lolis, with her twin ponytails and languid demeanor, immediately seized a colossal greatsword beside her. She unleashed a fierce sword qi slash. Mei, drawing her reverse-bladed tachi, the Crystal Reversal Blade, from a different dimension, effortlessly dispersed the attack.

The other quiet, gentle twin-ponytail loli, seeing her companion outmatched, drew a long spear from her side. Leaving a trail of afterimages, she closed in on Mei. Her spear thrust forth like a dragon, a deluge of spear shadows raining down from all directions!

Mei calmly and steadily parried the two lolis’ assaults. When their direct attacks proved ineffective, the lolis unleashed their extraordinary battle qi.

The spear-wielding loli cried out, “Hmph! Behold my Storm Style!” Her spear, imbued with azure wind-attributed battle qi, swept forward like a hurricane. Mei’s pupils contracted slightly; she realized this spear technique could actually draw upon a sliver of wind elemental law, weaving it into the offensive.

Yet, for Mei, a Watcher-level being second only to the Origin Gods, and on the verge of comprehending primal laws, this was hardly a challenge. She merely speculated that these individuals might share a connection with the God of Storms. With this thought, she resolved to subdue them gently and clarify the situation.

‘Thinking to herself, she scattered the attack with a diagonal slash, then knocked the loli unconscious with a single hand chop.’ The greatsword loli panicked. “What did you do to Xiaoliu! Don’t touch my Xiaoliu! Argh! Blazing Heavens Heavy Rock Slash!”

Shouting the name of her technique, she raised her greatsword. Under her guidance, fire-attributed battle qi flowed into it along an intricate trajectory. Mei’s expression became peculiar; she hadn’t anticipated encountering individuals connected to two Origin Gods.

The greatsword descended with earth-shattering force, imbued with scorching battle qi intertwined with fire elemental law.

“Boom… hum!” Mei first parried the greatsword with her blade. Then, she reversed its momentum, sending the attack back.

Caught completely off guard, the greatsword loli was sent flying backward by her own technique.

The Youth, who had been observing, quickly caught her. He was visibly shaken by the kinetic energy radiating from her.

With a soft ‘puff,’ he spat out a mouthful of fresh blood. He glanced at the unconscious loli in his arms, then slowly and grimly lowered her to the ground. Suddenly, he lifted his head.

“Hah!” His battle qi vibrated. Rare light-attributed battle qi coursed through his body, inscribing faint golden law runes onto his limbs. Once complete, the ambient light elements in the world were drawn into a vortex, coiling around his arms and legs!

Without another word, Kongbai unleashed a swinging punch, appearing before Mei with a “boom” that shattered the sound barrier. The faint golden battle qi collided with the ice-blue glowing blade. A moment of profound silence enveloped them, followed by a violent explosion of chaotic shockwaves!

Seeing his attack yield no results, Kongbai followed up with a series of side kicks and powerful alternating strikes.

Though it was fists and feet clashing against a blade, the sounds were those of metal striking stone. Unable to break through Mei’s defenses, Kongbai grew anxious, his expression turning grave. “Holy Angelic Judgment!”

Six golden wings materialized behind Kongbai. His limbs became encased in armor forged from light elements, imbued with the law of light.

He leapt into the air, his right fist drawn back to his waist. Engulfed in a golden stream of light, he lunged towards Mei, delivering a direct punch.

“Whoosh… whoosh—” Wave after wave of energy ripples spread outwards. The surrounding vegetation and dust were scoured away by the fluctuations, leaving behind a barren expanse littered with shattered stones.

Qiweiya’s voice suddenly chimed in. “Oh my, oh my~ what have we here? A gay man and two adorable lolis! Ohohoho!” Kongbai despaired. One person had effortlessly subdued almost all of them; another would spell their complete demise.

Qiweiya, pulling Kiana by the hand, walked up to Kongbai, grinning. “Young man, don’t frown so much~ Come on, a smile can make you look ten years younger! Watch me, ‘Cheese!'”

Kongbai, clearly ignoring her antics, demanded, “Who exactly are you people? Why did you assault us without provocation?”

Mei’s face darkened. “You can’t just accuse us like that! I merely saw you here and intended to ask for a place to rest, with no ill will whatsoever… then those two little ones came at me with their blades. Was I not supposed to defend myself?!”

Kongbai recalled the events, an awkward realization dawning on him. He quickly apologized. “I’m so sorry! So sorry! Qianyin was a bit too wary. My sincerest apologies.”

Qiweiya observed the residual law of light clinging to Kongbai and asked thoughtfully, “Young man, what is your relationship with the Goddess of Light? Could you tell me?”

Although Qiweiya phrased it as a question, the undeniable aura of authority in her tone was unmistakable.

Kongbai gazed at his hands, speaking with a hint of nostalgia. “This power was bestowed upon me by the Goddess of Light herself, back when I was still in my mother’s womb… She wished for me to wander the mortal realm as her proxy.”

As he spoke, he helped the loli named Qianyin to her feet, intending to soothe her and help her regain consciousness.

Qiweiya nodded, watching Kongbai’s actions. “And what about these two young girls? I sensed fluctuations of law within them.”

“Qianyin is the proxy of the God of Blazeflame, and Jingliu is the proxy of the God of Storms,” Kongbai explained. “We met them halfway on our journey. Delighted to learn each other’s identities, we decided to travel together. Unexpectedly, upon entering this forest, we were attacked by the Elf tribe, forcing us to live rough. Ah, the hardship!”

Qiweiya stroked her face. “To think my sister and two younger brothers have all found their proxies~ It seems I should also look for a proxy to assist me.”

Kongbai bristled with anger. “How dare you claim the great Goddess of Light is your sister!”

Qiweiya responded innocently, “But I *am* her elder sister. Why can’t Lomance be my younger sister?”

Kongbai sneered, “You are but a mere mortal, yet you brazenly claim to be the elder sister of an Origin God! You truly don’t know your place.”

Kiana and the others grew somewhat indignant. While Qiweiya might often be eccentric, her identity as an Origin God was undeniably real. For someone to deny her status was utterly blasphemous.

Seeing Mei and the others on the verge of intervening, Qiweiya quickly released her Origin aura to prove her identity.

Upon sensing it, Kongbai realized that the one before him was none other than Qiweiya, the Primal Blizzard, the first god to appear in the world, holding the dual titles of Goddess of Ice and Snow and Goddess of Judgment.

Kongbai immediately dropped to one knee. “The Divine Emissary of Light, Kongbai, greets Lady Qiweiya! I humbly beg your forgiveness for my unwitting offense!”

Qiweiya looked at Kongbai with a conflicted expression. “Alright, alright~ We Origin Gods don’t stand on such formalities. As the proxy of my younger sister, you’re practically family to us. There’s no need for such elaborate courtesy.”

Kongbai gratefully stood up. “Thank you, Lady, for your magnanimous forgiveness!”

“Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh…” At that moment, a barrage of arrows rained down from above. The faint green life elements clinging to the arrows clearly identified the attackers: the very Elf archers who had previously pursued Kongbai and his companions.

As Kongbai was about to charge forward, Qiweiya grabbed him with an excited expression. “Come, come! Let’s flee together! I’ve never been chased before!”

Kiana and the others, covering their faces with expressions that screamed ‘What the actual f***,’ picked up Jingliu, who was still on the ground, and followed suit.

Meanwhile, Kongbai remained utterly bewildered throughout, clearly still confused as to why things had unfolded this way.
