Seeking Advice: How to Stop Loving Kwon Yohan

Ever since UNI-Q announced their new male idol group, I’ve had my eye on this one member, who looked like he’d stepped right out of a classical painting… and lately, he’s truly come into his own. Honestly, at debut, he was so awkward it almost turned me off, haha. But seeing him now, it seems like he was just incredibly nervous back then, right? I mean, UNI-Q wouldn’t be crazy enough to debut someone who couldn’t do anything, would they? The crazy one is me for not recognizing his potential and wasting three months!

His personality is also totally my type—so languidly sexy and aloof, like a rich house cat, but with a touch of clumsiness too, sob. I’m in big trouble these days; I can’t focus on work because I’m too busy fangirling over him. I’ll probably get fired soon, lol.

I Can’t Stand Kwon-fans’ Over-the-Top Behavior

It’s laughable how they hype up someone who was so bad at debut you wondered how he even made it, just because he’s slightly better now. And those who insist he was always good must be delusional. I just wish all these recently joined fans could be filtered out of sight.

It was strange from the start how he wasn’t even part of the pre-debut lineup, then suddenly joined right before official debut. The way the company operates feels like a Chinese idol agency, haha… as if some high-up’s child got in and the team is being run to cater to them, constantly trying to please them, haha. The members calling him ‘young master’ doesn’t seem like a concept either.

Sehan should have been a member instead of him; because of all this, only Jihyuk is struggling, and I feel terribly sorry for him. Honestly, if you’ve been a fan since pre-debut, how could you possibly embrace Kwon Yohan? If being an idol just means standing on stage with a pretty face, then my friend could be an idol too.

He joined the team late, is the youngest, yet acts disrespectfully towards his older members, and I don’t understand why everyone finds that ‘cute.’ I just hope he realizes his limits soon and leaves the group ^^.

Regardless of what happened, he’s doing well now, and he’s not an outcast anymore, so the team is functioning smoothly, right? Isn’t that enough? Why are people so desperate to criticize him? When I saw him on variety shows during debut, he couldn’t blend in at all, and I even wondered if he was being bullied.

If he’s changed this noticeably, imagine how hard he must have worked. Instead of nitpicking and cursing him, I think it’s right to just support him.

Byung-joo, where on earth did you learn this ‘swagger marketing’ strategy? Seriously, aren’t you going to properly educate the kids? It sends shivers down my spine. Other fandoms are already giving us so much grief, and thinking about how this will be endlessly rehashed in the future makes me want to quit being a fan.

I’m a Kwon-fan, and I Feel Like I’m Losing My Mind These Days

I don’t really know about all the pre-debut talk. I’m just a debut fan who stanned Yohan purely for his looks, and while everyone says he’s gotten better now, I bet all Kwon-fans are thinking similar things.

Photo cards, which used to be easy to hoard multiple copies of, are now hard to get. Well, I guess that’s a problem I can solve by being more diligent and spending more money, but… it feels like he doesn’t treat fans the way he used to T_T.

He used to come on live streams every two or three days if nothing else was going on, but he hasn’t turned one on at all this promotional period. He also doesn’t reply to Q-verse comments much… I just wish he’d go back to how he was before, even if he’s not perfect at other things. Suddenly, I’m losing the joy of fangirling. It’s gotten to the point where I’m thinking of selling all my photo cards while the market price is high and quitting T_T….

I like that his skills have improved and he’s showing a good side; how could I dislike that? And seeing him get along well with the members makes me happy. Sigh… T_T I don’t even know what I’m feeling. I wonder if I was less sincere than I thought.

0415 Fansign Review

There’s been so much talk, so I went in feeling really worried, but to get straight to the point, it was very enjoyable and satisfying. You all were making such a fuss about Yohan having ‘dead fish eyes,’ so I ended up staring intently at his eyes, but ‘dead fish eyes,’ my foot! LOL, they held the universe; they were completely sparkling.

Ah, it’s true he wasn’t smiling as enthusiastically as before. I sensed a certain ‘delicate charm’ or ‘older brother vibe’ from him… You might wonder how ‘older brother vibe’ fits that face, but I think you’d have to experience it yourself to understand. I shared a personal concern, and he listened very seriously. I didn’t have much time to think, but he gave surprisingly practical and good advice, which shocked me after I’d said it. He’s not even a talkative person, haha! I snapped out of it to find myself saying, ‘Oh, really?’

He even handled the high-tension, overly enthusiastic fans like an impossibly sweet older brother playing with his younger sister. Since I went to see Yoon, it was fun just watching them. It felt like everyone was overwhelmed by his unexpected reactions, losing their minds, haha. And since my turn was last, everyone walked out like zombies, completely dazed.

If I had to pick one memorable moment:

– Another fan: “Yohan, my bias has changed.”

– Him: “Even so, you still came all this way to see me, so you still like me a little, right?”

– Another fan: (Seemed like they were trying to make a joke but were speechless and stuttered.)

– Him: “It’s a relief there’s still hope, then ^^.”

That person was practically sobbing, and the turn moved on without giving them time to recover, haha. I hadn’t been that interested in him before because he seemed so much like a baby, but suddenly, I’m intrigued. I’m looking forward to seeing this child in ten years.

During the short breaks, I noticed Doyoung, and it seems like he’s gotten really close with Seon, too, haha. And the reason I don’t have much to say about the other members is that there are already plenty of reviews from other people, so I didn’t feel the need to add more;; Without realizing it, I’ve become a Kwon Yohan solo stan. This fandom is really funny.
