Chapter 20: Radiant Wrath

Heaven RPG.

The game I played with the only passion in this world, when I was completely lifeless.

I recalled the moment of my awakening.

[Unique Skill]

Name: Unity with Nature

Grade: S (Ex Advancement)

Description: Become one with the being you have the deepest bond with.

Cooldown: Not available. One-time skill.

S-grade, a skill of such a grade.

It was puzzling, so I looked it up.

It seems that in places like the military, the label “(Ex)” is added for someone who is expected to advance to the next rank.

In other words, my skill is an S-grade skill that is expected to be promoted to Ex-grade.

‘Essentially, it’s an Ex-grade, I suppose.’

And this is the reason I didn’t die despite being afflicted by a fatal, incurable disease with a 100% mortality rate.

Since my awakening, I became the character I had raised in the game, an angel, and finally, I was able to sleep soundly.

‘The being with whom I share the deepest bond is a game character, huh.’

It’s a bitter truth.

I have no family, no close friends.

Some say they have a pet to lick their feet every night, but I don’t have anything like that.

The being I have the deepest bond with is a virtual data fragment made of 0s and 1s from a game.

‘Well, it’s fine. I’m like dust.

Even if I disappear with a gust of wind, no one will notice.

I’m just a worthless, meaningless being. Sleeping and lying around is the right way for me to be.’

Since I was born into this world, I’ve never loved anyone.

I’ve never been loved either.

I’ve never imagined someone liking me, nor have I imagined liking anyone.

When night comes, what I find isn’t sleep, but just a quiet, empty room and an empty fridge.

Even if someone asks me why I live like this, I couldn’t give an answer.

I just.

Have to remain lifeless to survive.

That’s all.

‘Didn’t they say that the longest a person with FFI lasted without sleep was 10 months?’

‘Attempting to stay awake is so dangerous that the Guinness World Records removed the category,

so I guess I’m probably the unofficial world record holder now.’

‘Since I don’t remember ever sleeping, I must have developed severe insomnia since childhood.’

Maybe I didn’t sleep since I was a baby.

Was it learned behavior from that time?

Lifelessly.

Even when I opened my eyes, I killed every function of my body as much as possible.

It was almost instinctive.

I put in my utmost effort to become lifeless.

That’s how I got through the day.

I could feel the moment when my heart, which felt like it might stop at any time, would slowly come to a halt.

The true horror of FFI is realizing you’re dying without being able to sleep.

Don’t react.

Don’t smile.

Don’t cry.

Don’t eat.

How much energy would it take to digest?

Laughter is a luxury.

If you have time to cry, it’s better to kill your emotions and become more lifeless, right?

If you want to live.

You need to become even more lifeless.

Staying up all night with open eyes in the corner of the room.

By chance, I saw an ad for a game.

  • We apologize. Our mistake.
  • We’ve caused a great inconvenience to our users with things like 100 draws.
  • To make it up, we’ll guarantee you a fast power-up! Enjoy to the fullest!
  • Heaven RPG

VIP hidden gift code input $$100% starting gift set

  • Free 10,000 diamonds, ‘First Valkyrie Free!’ ¥100,000 draw ticket

I’ve never played a game before.

But, maybe I’ll try it.

I have nothing else to do.

Since it has an auto-play feature, it says all I need to do is click.

  • Ah, damn it. This game’s trash.
  • I want to split the creator in half.

It’s really boring.

For some reason, other users were leaving the server, cursing at the game.

But for me, it was the only fun thing in the world.

‘The content is surprisingly vast.’

The character was a human female.

There was an option to customize my appearance, but I skipped through it quickly.

Maybe that’s why I started with the default character settings,

looking like a typical girl around my age, but honestly, I didn’t care much.

‘So much grinding.’

Most people couldn’t get past this part and quit, calling the game trash.

Is it fun?

Honestly, I don’t know.

I’m just doing it because I have nothing else to do.

At the beginning, you had to balance doing good deeds and bad deeds while building up your character.

I could’ve done bad deeds, but I only did good ones.

I don’t know why.

I just did good deeds.

I guess I wanted to.

“Thank you for pushing the cart for me.”

Skip.

“The cat climbed up the tree.”

Skip.

“Ah?! Is that you? The one rumored to be the kindest in this area? I’m J.Y. from the back alley…”

Skip.

I just kept clicking away.

Before I knew it, my character had accumulated tons of good deeds and arrived in Heaven.

  • Hidden Achievement Unlocked!
  • You are the only player who has reached Heaven…

Skip.

Even in Heaven, I kept doing good deeds and skipped through everything while just progressing the content.

By the time I realized it, I had reached max level and became the highest-spec, most powerful angel.

I got silver hair, wings sprouted, and I looked brighter than before.

I was much cuter and prettier than most archangels.

  • The celestial gods express their admiration for the achievements you’ve made.
  • Heaven now recognizes you as its equal.
  • The ruthless execution angel receives immediate judgment and the title of Inquisitor…

Skip.

‘Why do I see numbers above my head all of a sudden?’

I wonder if it’s because I’ve just been skipping everything.

For some reason, I could now see numbers above my head, making it easier to tell who to punish and who to heal.

Whenever I saw someone who had committed evil, I could just punish them, which was convenient.

Even the gods who did wrong, I’d just punish without questioning.

That’s how difficult the game became.

The content was so vast, it felt endless.

There were so many good deeds to do.

“…But this isn’t a game, it’s reality.”

The criteria for judging evil deeds.

The criteria for judging good deeds.

There must’ve been an explanation for these somewhere in the game, but…

I had skipped through so much that I couldn’t remember.

“Do I have the right to judge someone like this?”

I asked myself the question.

If I hadn’t skipped, I would’ve probably gotten a clear answer.

So, even when I saw people with small evil deeds in everyday life, I didn’t react much.

But this was different.

[ Evil Deeds: -95,055P ]

Even though I kept clicking to skip.

If you skip, you still see a bit of the story or dialogue.

A person who had accumulated this much evil was a major villain who had caused tears to flow from the eyes of countless people.

Punishing them was the answer.

So, I issued a judgment.

But somehow, I ended up in a secret room.

In front of me was a woman with a face so beautiful, it looked like it came straight out of a work of art, wearing a sinister smile.

“I’m going to start the treatment.”

A dark, ominous aura began to emanate from her body.

“…What are you going to do to me?”

“Merely kill you and create an undead that looks just like you.”

“L…..?”

“People will probably think I cured your mental illness.

The undead I create will look just like you, but won’t be as arrogant. It’ll transform into a more perfect existence.”

The response was shocking.

“Did you do this to others too?”

“Of course. It doesn’t matter how much you scream.

“This place is a perfect secret room, and the strongest barrier is set up. No one’s going to save you.”

“There was a reason for your evil deeds.”

A sacred aura surrounded me.

“What, what is that?! What’s going on?”

“I’m an angel.”

“Is that for real? Does that mean angels actually exist?”

Well, would an angel lie?

“Bad girls get punished.”

“Hah, what do you think an angel is? Just some cosplay trapped in a concept.

” You clearly don’t know who I am. I’m a national-level hunter. You want to fight me?”

The saint ignored me and narrowed her eyes, taking an attack stance.

I slowly raised my hand without much reaction.

After all, she wouldn’t die with just one hit, would she?

It seems like she’s using the opposite element again.

“I’ll strike you with light.”

Brilliant light began to radiate from my fingertips.

Compress.

Compress.

Compressing the light.

The radiant light grew larger and formed a small sphere in the air,

burning white like the sun, releasing overwhelming radiance into the surroundings.

The sphere pulsated with holy power, twisting the space around it, and even the air vibrated as it was caught in its force.

A heavy, immense force could be felt.

The tremendous mass contained within the sphere overwhelmed the surroundings, creating a terrifying gravitational field.

“To conjure light magic at this speed in a place with no light?! I get it now, you’re Zz!!”

That’s correct, but is that really important right now?

If someone figures it out, I won’t be able to get a good night’s sleep, so I better finish this quickly.

Whoooooooom.

The light within the sphere exploded forward like a burst.

The light’s debris followed in its wake, resembling a laser.

The flash that split the space was beautiful in itself,

but the hidden power within it had little to do with beauty.

Just before the light hit the saint, she must have sensed something was off,

as she instinctively took a defensive stance and desperately summoned a dark barrier.

Countless undead and ghosts rose from the ground to block the attack, but they were all pierced through.

Thanks to that brief opening, a black veil enveloped her body.

She sweated profusely as she poured all her energy into reinforcing the defense barrier.

The shockwave spread outward.

The light, heavy and massive, collided with and pierced through the barrier.

Only the light touched her, but there was an explosive sound.

Boom!

Kwah-kwah-kwah-kwah!

Even the saint was no exception.

“Kkeeeergh!”

A technique that imbued light with holiness to deliver a physical attack.

It was Radiant Mass.

I saw someone mention this a few chapters back as well, but clearly it hasn’t been fixed. I feel like you’d know where the chapter repeats itself TL if you just proofread before uploading it. It’s not our job as a reader to fix this, it’s yours as the person/people who run this site and posts content to it.

I love the novell and zz it’s really great! 🥰🤗 if its ok to suggest a chapter break when changing Pov?

Using something as simple as an underscore is a game changer. Or if you like I think there was something called paragraph separators (or something, sorry I forgot what they’re called since I haven’t written novels in a while)
