At night, during dinner, Mo Yue looked at Collins with disgust, while his father and stepmother cast odd glances at the slap marks on his face.

His father finally couldn’t hold it in. After coughing a few times, he said, “Collins, how about you put your magic studies on hold for a few days? I’ll also take a break from my work at the magic research department and give you some proper guidance.”

Collins swallowed the food in his mouth.

“Guidance in what?”

“In how to flirt with girls, you little rascal! You’ve grown up and still don’t know how to chase girls? You even got slapped? That’s embarrassing! You’ve shamed your old man, do you know that? When I was your age—”

Collins coughed a few times.

His father immediately shut his mouth and silently returned to eating, his eyes occasionally glancing at his wife.

Fortunately, Melfer didn’t embarrass Collins’ father in front of him.

She just kept her head down and ate quietly.

“Don’t bring up boring topics like women.”

“With such delicious food, talking about something so degrading is just rude.”

After finishing his meal, Collins patted his slightly bloated stomach.

Once the barrier of restraint was overcome by desire, he couldn’t help but serve himself a bowl of soup.

His stepmother’s cooking was indeed excellent.

Whether it was simple stir-fry, heavy-flavored dishes, or broth simmered from large bones, everything tasted top-tier.

He took small sips of the rich, flavorful soup.

The nourishing liquid, full of life energy, slid down his throat, fully satisfying his appetite.

Collins let out a comfortable burp.

His lower belly bulged a bit, and when his stomach clearly signaled it couldn’t take another bite, Collins reluctantly put down his bowl.

He stood up, stretched lazily, and asked casually, “No one’s planning to shower, right?”

Everyone shook their heads.

“Uh, do I have any clean clothes?”

Melfer smiled.

“I washed your clothes three days ago. I regularly wash and dry the clothes of all the children in the house.”

Collins finally understood why his father had married Melfer.

Compared to his original mother’s self-centered pride, Melfer’s gentle care was attentive to the smallest detail.

Entering his room, he opened his wardrobe.

Sure enough, as Melfer said, all the clothes had been washed and sun-dried, carrying a very pleasant scent.

“Shower time, shower time.”

Picking out some underwear, Collins leisurely walked into the bathroom.

The showerhead sprayed warm water over his face, washing away the sweat and grime on his body.

It was such a pleasant feeling that even someone like Collins—who usually didn’t care much for indulgence—began to hum a tune.

“Brother, you’re in there, right?”

The sudden voice startled him.

Judging from the tone, it was the same sister who had slapped him earlier.

She had shown such an attitude at noon—could she now be here to sincerely apologize?

Had she realized that slapping her brother was wrong, ungrateful, even cruel?

Maybe she came with guilt in her heart to make amends?

Collins wiped the water dripping from his hair and rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

He had good manners, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t get angry.

No matter what his relationship with Mo Yue was, slapping someone in the face was going too far.

Even now, he still held a bit of resentment.

Still, if someone is willing to admit they’re wrong and try to make it right, that’s a virtue.

If Mo Yue was here to apologize, Collins wasn’t someone who couldn’t forgive.

Turning off the showerhead, Collins responded, “Ah, yeah, I’m inside.”

Unexpectedly, Mo Yue pulled open the sliding door and walked in.

“Brother, you’re taking a shower, right?”

Collins looked at his fully naked self, then at the blurred silhouette of the girl outside the frosted glass.

A sense of panic suddenly welled up in him.

“Uh, Mo Yue, I’m not wearing anything.”

So, whatever you have to say, can it wait until I finish and get dressed?

Mo Yue gave a light chuckle.

Her tone didn’t sound apologetic at all—it sounded more like a child about to pull a prank.

A few drops of cold sweat slid down Collins’ forehead.

His brilliant mind suddenly realized that Mo Yue coming in while he was showering probably wasn’t out of kindness.

The silhouette behind the frosted glass moved.

She walked toward the sink.

“This must be your change of clothes, right?”

Mo Yue picked up a bundle of something—it was hard to see clearly.

That was Collins’ fresh set of clothes prepared for after his shower.

Collins trembled and nervously replied, “Mo Yue, that’s my underwear.”

“You’re a little girl, don’t touch a man’s clothes. A child should act like a child.”

Clatter.

Collins heard a strange noise.

A moment later, the sound of the faucet being turned on filled the bathroom.

“Ah, my hand slipped.”

The clothes fell into the sink.

In just a few seconds, his clean, dry clothes were soaked.

Even though the glass was foggy, Collins could still guess what Mo Yue had done.

And because he knew what she had done, a wave of fury surged in him.

“Mo Yue, what exactly do you think you’re doing?!”

“What do I think I’m doing?”

“Maybe… I just want to see what it looks like when my brother runs out completely naked.”
