Jiang Yao meticulously examined Yan Yun from head to toe.
From the results of her inspection, it was clear that Yan Yun was indeed quite different from ordinary cultivators.
Moreover, Yan Yun’s current state brought a mischievous smile to Jiang Yao’s lips.
“Haha, oh, I can’t take it!” Jiang Yao burst out laughing. “I’m suddenly dying to see what you’ll look like when you grow up. I have a hunch you’ll be an absolute cutie.”
Jiang Yao teased Yan Yun once more.
Jiang Yao’s grinning face, however, made Yan Yun feel an awkward irritation, pushing her to the brink of exasperation.
After all, being teased by her former girlfriend with such distinctly feminine terms from their past life, the sensation was undeniably unsettling.
“You’re certainly taking this in stride,” Yan Yun grumbled. “But our ‘source of happiness’ is gone. How are we supposed to exchange affections now? Are we just going to use our hands?”
Jiang Yao nearly choked, a figurative mouthful of ‘old blood’ (TL Note: A Chinese idiom, ‘lao xie,’ often used humorously to describe extreme shock or exasperation.) almost spurting from her lips.
“Oh, come on, try to be a little proper!” Jiang Yao retorted. “Stop dwelling on such wicked thoughts. Now that we’ve been reborn, we should learn to be more open-minded. If I had become a man, I would have readily embraced that identity. And isn’t this perfect? You wanted to marry me, and now you’ll be my wife. Come on, call me ‘husband’ and let me hear it.”
Jiang Yao leaned in close to Yan Yun, her face alight with a playful grin as she made her demand.
Seeing the mischievous glint in Jiang Yao’s eyes, Yan Yun immediately bristled with indignation.
“Damn it, a day without a beating and you’re already tearing off the roof tiles, aren’t you?” Yan Yun exclaimed, her voice thick with exasperation. “Come on, let me show you who the real ‘husband’ is! You’ve truly gone too far, constantly teasing me like this.”
In a fit of pique, Yan Yun wrapped her arms around Jiang Yao’s waist, attempting to lift her.
Yet, Jiang Yao remained utterly unmoving.
Yan Yun seemed to have forgotten that Jiang Yao was a Cavern Realm cultivator, not someone her current meager Spirit Gathering Realm cultivation could possibly challenge.
“Hmph! Little one, in your current state, you’re only fit to be subdued. Get up, you!” Jiang Yao scoffed, then simply snapped her fingers.
In the next instant, an invisible force permeated the air, enveloped Yan Yun, and effortlessly tossed her onto the bed.
“Eh?” Yan Yun gasped in surprise.
Before Yan Yun could even rise, Jiang Yao had already pressed down, seizing both of Yan Yun’s hands and effectively subduing her.
“Little one, how about it?” Jiang Yao grinned wickedly. “Do you submit now, or not?”
Yan Yun, though feeling a pang of frustration, recognized this as a golden opportunity.
With a sudden upward thrust of her head, her lips brushed against Jiang Yao’s.
A mischievous grin then spread across Yan Yun’s face.
“I might not be able to beat you,” Yan Yun whispered playfully, “but your first kiss in this life still belongs to me, hehe.”
A faint blush immediately bloomed across Jiang Yao’s delicate features.
“Oh, really?” Jiang Yao retorted, refusing to be outdone. “You’ve turned into a woman, yet you’re still so unruly. It seems I truly need to teach you a lesson in household rules.”
Not one to back down, Jiang Yao launched her own playful offensive.
Thus began their very first intimate exchange since reuniting in this new world.
The swiftness with which Yan Yun unceremoniously shed her trousers to submit to her ‘wife’s inspection’ spoke volumes, clearly demonstrating that their relationship had long transcended any sense of personal boundaries or embarrassment.

Meanwhile, on Jiang Yuan’s side, when they heard from Jiang Wei that Yan Yun and Jiang Yao were actually embracing each other, everyone’s eyes widened in disbelief, finding the news utterly inconceivable.
“Wei’er,” Jiang Yuan questioned, his voice laced with doubt, “Are you absolutely certain? Are you truly sure that your sister was embracing Yan Yun in her private chambers?”
Jiang Wei nodded with absolute certainty.
“I saw it with my own eyes, Father,” Jiang Wei affirmed. “When did my sister and that boy Yan Yun become so close?”
This was a question that none of the Jiang family members could answer.
“Husband,” Xie Ting quickly interjected, “Could it be that the two youngsters have fallen in love at first sight? We must remind them; they are still so young and shouldn’t do anything inappropriate. They haven’t even reached adulthood yet.”
Naturally, her words held little practical weight, for in this world, girls could marry once they turned twelve.
Why concern oneself with such trivialities?
Her true concern, however, was that premature romantic entanglement might derail Jiang Yao’s path of cultivation.
“Yu’er,” Jiang Yuan instructed Xia Yu after a moment’s contemplation, “Find some time to remind Yao’er.”
Xia Yu nodded in immediate understanding.
Not long after, Yan Yun departed the Jiang family residence, thoroughly satisfied.
As she and Jiang Yao had not yet formally established their relationship, it was certainly improper for them to live together.
The moment they returned to the Yan family, Yan Lingyun’s curiosity was piqued.
“No wonder I found you so odd, boy,” Yan Lingyun mused aloud. “So you were harboring a secret all along—you actually remember your past life’s memories?”
With Yan Lingyun constantly by her side, certain matters simply could not be concealed.
“Indeed,” Yan Yun replied. “I’ve had memories of my past life since birth. Jiang Yao, whom we just met, was my wife in that life.”
“Tsk, tsk, how utterly peculiar,” Yan Lingyun exclaimed. “Were you two some great cultivators reincarnated in your past lives? I’ve truly never heard of anyone retaining their past life’s memories after rebirth, unless a powerful cultivator had previously employed some extraordinary means to preserve them.”
Yan Lingyun’s curiosity intensified with each word.
Yan Yun readily divulged what she could, but skillfully sidestepped any questions pertaining to matters she couldn’t disclose.

Meanwhile, in the underground cultivation chamber of Su Muyu’s residence, she remained deeply immersed in the process of breaking through her cultivation realm.
She was in the midst of condensing her fourth Cavern.
As a vortex of cerulean spiritual energy gradually coalesced behind her, the four existing Caverns began to spin rapidly.
Simultaneously, a torrent of spiritual energy from heaven and earth surged towards her body, eventually stabilizing into a harmonious flow.
In that pivotal moment, Su Muyu achieved minor completion in the Cavern Realm, having successfully condensed four spiritual vortexes.
Even more remarkably, she seemed to have activated a peculiar latent power.
Her innate low-grade Water Spirit Root underwent a profound qualitative transformation in that instant, elevating from its inferior status to a superior-grade Water Spirit Root.
Not only that, but her original four Caverns unexpectedly increased by one more in that very moment, transforming into five Caverns.
“What? What’s happening?” Su Muyu gasped, her eyes snapping open, a look of profound astonishment etched upon her face. “My Spirit Root… it’s been upgraded?”
A superior-grade Water Spirit Root and five Caverns—this sudden advancement undoubtedly made her the most gifted individual in the entire Yan family.
As her residence was not far from Yan Yun’s, Yan Lingyun immediately sensed the surge of energy the moment Su Muyu broke through her realm.
“Oh? Boy,” Yan Lingyun exclaimed, a hint of surprise in her voice, “Your mother has broken through her realm, and it seems she’s even awakened some special power! Go quickly and see!”
Upon hearing this, Yan Yun was overjoyed.
She promptly dashed out of her own residence and hurried towards Su Muyu’s.
It wasn’t just Yan Yun; every member of the Yan family had sensed the profound fluctuations of spiritual energy permeating heaven and earth.
No sooner had she arrived than Yan Long and the others also reached the location in quick succession.
“I just sensed an extraordinary surge of power emanating from Little Seven’s direction,” Yan Long questioned, a hint of doubt in his tone. “Has she broken through her realm?”
While the others remained uncertain, it wasn’t long before Su Muyu emerged from her secluded cultivation chamber.
They immediately noticed a profound transformation in her aura and demeanor.
“Mother, you’ve broken through?” Yan Yun was the first to step forward and inquire.
Overwhelmed with joy, Su Muyu embraced her child tightly.
“Yes,” she confirmed, “I’ve achieved minor completion in the Grand Dao Cavern. And, for some inexplicable reason, my Spirit Root has also been upgraded! I now possess a superior-grade Water Spirit Root.”
Without any hesitation, Su Muyu openly released the aura of her Cavern Realm cultivation, displaying it for all to witness.
A pure, cerulean energy emanated from her body, swiftly coalescing into five distinct Caverns behind her.
Moreover, the light radiating from these Caverns was exceptionally brilliant and dazzling.
The higher the quality of a Spirit Root, the purer its energy.
“Five Caverns,” Yan Long murmured in awe. “And judging by that radiance, it must be emanating from at least a mid-grade Spirit Root, if not higher.”
In an instant, Su Muyu’s innate talent had eclipsed everyone else’s.
The Su family, in this turn of events, had suffered an immense loss.
“This is wonderful, Mother!” Yan Yun exclaimed, her joy for her mother utterly sincere. “Congratulations!”
Meanwhile, within Yan Yun, Yan Lingyun swiftly ascertained Su Muyu’s true condition.
“Haha, unbelievable!” Yan Lingyun burst out. “Boy, your mother actually triggered a Heavenly Dao Blessing and awakened a Primordial Spirit Body (TL Note: A rare and powerful innate constitution that grants enhanced affinity with spiritual energy and faster cultivation.)!”
The Primordial Spirit Body, a truly rare constitution, allows for a far easier comprehension of the forces of heaven and earth, accelerating cultivation speed far beyond that of ordinary cultivators.
