Our First Kiss Changed Everything

First kiss.

It didn’t last long.

Just a brief brush, like a dragonfly skimming the water.

Our lips touched, but there was no further entanglement.

No intense, passionate, wet, breathless feeling.

It was more like a marshmallow pressing against my lips.

And then, for some reason, I calmed down.

Like the sage mode after… you know. My mind was as still as water.

But maybe I was just lying to myself, pretending to be calm.

Because this was a historic event—the end of my “no experience with women” virgin symbol.

I should have been more excited, more thrilled, even ecstatic.

But… strangely, I was just calm.

We slowly parted. Yi Yi, who had taken the initiative, was completely flushed. Her shy expression was endearing.

“Um… I…”

She had used her actions to show me how she felt.

Without thinking, I reached out my left hand and touched her cheek.

Yi Yi looked at me and naturally smiled beautifully.

She tilted her head, pressing her cheek more firmly against my palm, and closed her eyes, placing her hand over mine.

Instinctively, I knew what to do next.

She had stood on her tiptoes. Now it was my turn to bend down for a second kiss following the first.

Her lips tasted like fragrant甘草, her tongue sweet as candy.

This time, I couldn’t stay calm.

My heart raced, my breathing quickened, and I felt possessed to want more…

Hearing Yi Yi’s uncomfortable sound as she struggled to breathe, I snapped back to reality. It was as if I’d touched a hot iron—I jerked my upper body back.

Then, because I’d pulled away so abruptly, Yi Yi started coughing, covering her mouth.

“Cough, cough, cough…”

“Yi Yi! Are you okay!”

I fumbled through my pockets, searching for a tissue, but before I could find one, Yi Yi pulled out her own handkerchief and cleaned up.

Seems my “boyfriend skills” still need work…

“I’m fine, Darling. Don’t worry. I just breathed in some air too suddenly and choked…”

“Are you sure?”

“It’s like learning to swim. At first, you don’t know how to breathe… But I’ll do better next time, Darling!”

Seeing Yi Yi’s radiant smile, I clutched my chest.

“What’s wrong, Darling?”

“Nothing…”

Even though our kiss was a bit awkward, not only did she not mind, but she was even thinking about me. I was so moved I could cry.

I rubbed my temples to stop my eyes from watering, and when I opened them, I saw Yi Yi, her face red again, looking down at the floor.

Was she only now getting embarrassed, recalling what had just happened?

The first kiss had that innocent feeling, but the second one that followed was a bit… out of control.

Reflecting on it, Yi Yi wouldn’t have been overreacting if she’d pushed me away, but in the end, she accepted it completely.

Maybe Yi Yi was deliberately raised to have this kind of personality.

I should probably be careful. If she indulges me like this, I might get spoiled.

So, as a sign of remorse, I patted Yi Yi’s head and apologized.

“Sorry. Was I forcing you?”

“No. I just suddenly remembered… there are security cameras in the store, so…”

“Oh.”

Yeah, there are security cameras in the store. The register area is definitely within their range.

Meaning, that whole scene was recorded.

Only the manager could see it, and he wouldn’t randomly check the footage unless something happened, but knowing it was all on camera was embarrassing.

“Think about it this way: our first kiss was recorded. Isn’t that romantic?”

I’m glad no one bothered us here in the convenience store late at night.

“Thinking of it that way, it really is romantic… I’m a bit embarrassed, but having the video means the memory won’t fade. That’s a wonderful thing.”

Good thing she accepted that reasoning. Yi Yi was the easy-to-please type.

Looking at her now, as a girlfriend, not only was her appearance and body perfect, her personality and temperament were impeccable too.

Landing a girlfriend like this really must be a blessing accumulated over ten lifetimes.

“Then later, I’ll ask the manager to transfer the recording so we can save it.”

“I’ll transfer it myself. Then I’ll delete it from the system.”

I didn’t want anyone else to see it.

“Is that okay?”

“It’s fine. There was no one in the store anyway. Yi Yi, can you watch the front for a bit? I’ll go get the video.”

“Okay.”

There was a manager’s office next to the staff locker room. The video footage could be accessed from the computer there.

The manager completely trusted me, so I had the office key.

I unlocked the door, went in, turned on the computer, pulled up the footage, and found the right time.

The screen was split into four small squares, each from a different camera. Three inside, one outside.

The three inside cameras showed the front of the register, a side view, and a panorama of the store.

The side view showed Yi Yi’s face very clearly.

And I saw that when we parted, there was a tiny thread of saliva connecting us… From this angle, Yi Yi’s face looked a bit messy…

My inspiration skyrocketed. I suddenly wanted to draw this scene as a lewd picture.

Ah, now’s not the time to appreciate it. Anyway, I’ll cut that segment first. I can enlarge it later at home for reference.

I cut the five minutes before and after and sent the clip to my email, then saved it in my cloud drive… OK.

Since I stream regularly, I’m pretty familiar with basic video editing.

I deleted the footage from the store system.

It was only about five minutes, no big deal, and the store was empty anyway.

I’d mention it to the manager later. He wouldn’t care.

It’s a shame the video quality wasn’t great. It was a bit blurry. Yi Yi is so beautiful… Blurry can be artistic, but I’d prefer it clearer.

This only strengthened my resolve to buy a DSLR. One for photos and video.

After finishing up, I went back to the register. Yi Yi turned to me.

“All done?”

“Yeah.”

“The memory between Darling and me is saved.”

“Yeah. But this is just the first. Let’s make more memories together.”

“Okay…”

I reached out my hand to Yi Yi. She happily took it.

Yes, there would be plenty more chances to capture these beautiful memories.
