Why?
She had already been kidnapped—so why were they still tormenting her like this?!
“You guys came in using student identities, right? Why not just leave as students too?”
“But that would be so unoriginal and lacking in flair,” Rinmatsu replied.
Disguising yourselves as the kidnapped girl’s parents to leave—that’s your idea of flair?!
At that moment, Rinmatsu was dressed like a noble lady, complete with a wide hoop skirt and excessive ribbons, while Rindong was dressed like a middle-aged man—even sporting a fake mustache.
All that remained was the “gravely injured” Wang Ning, seated in a wheelchair, her face lifeless.
Bandages and restraints wrapped tightly around her body.
The fear she’d initially felt from being kidnapped had long since worn off.
Now, she was simply… exhausted.
Ugh. So tired.
This B-world—just let it burn already.
Wang Ning said in a numb tone, “Who are you two, really? Why did you kidnap me?”
She didn’t recall this identity having made any enemies… right?
And seriously—how had they managed to change outfits in under two minutes?
She hadn’t even had time to react before disaster struck.
The girl in the dress smiled sweetly.
“My darling daughter, once we get home, you’ll understand everything.”
Wang Ning: …
Enough already.
She didn’t want a new set of parents.
This shameful role-playing nonsense—she stopped playing games like this back in elementary school.
The one pushing Wang Ning’s wheelchair—Rindong—finally spoke.
“Rinmatsu, have you had enough?”
“You’ve already delayed us by almost seven minutes.”
She pushed the wheelchair forward as she spoke.
Rinmatsu looked offended. “How can you just call me by my name at a time like this?! That’s so mean, Father! You’re ruining the immersion!”
Rindong replied calmly, “This pretend-family game does nothing to help our mission.”
The twin sisters—identical in face—clashed again.
Rinmatsu pouted.
“You were totally into it at first.”
“You even stole the role of being the hostage’s father.”
Suddenly, she grinned wickedly, catching up to Rindong’s pace and deliberately raising her voice.
Her melodic voice carried clearly to both people nearby.
“My dear sister~ don’t tell me you have a… special kink?”
“Like… wanting to be someone’s dad?”
“…”
“Ewww—” Rinmatsu dragged the word out. “So. Gross.”
Rindong’s expression remained calm.
But she suddenly freed one hand.
With a flick of her forearm, a handgun snapped out from her sleeve.
Clean, precise—its barrel pointed directly at her twin sister.
Her words were brief and cold.
“Shut up.”
The entire sequence took place in an instant.
Yet Rinmatsu continued smiling with her violet eyes wide open.
“Aww, someone’s cranky now~”
Between her glossy pink fingernails, she was suddenly holding a razor-sharp blade.
With a flick of her wrist, she sent it flying toward Rindong’s arm, full of killing intent.
Rindong tilted her fingers, pulled the trigger—
Bang.
The gun discharged, intercepting the glinting blade mid-air.
Wang Ning didn’t even have time to react.
Stuck between the two of them, she silently watched this “parental infighting” play out in real time.
Her heart raced.
Her entire body tensed in terror.
P-Please don’t hit her by accident!
If you’re going to fight—do it in a sparring room or something!
Why always trap her in the middle?!
They were almost at the school gates.
Wang Ning’s nerves were stretched to the limit.
She squirmed in her wheelchair, praying for divine intervention to break her restraints.
The security officer at the gate noticed them.
Wang Ning didn’t care anymore.
She opened her mouth and shouted, “Hel—!”
Suddenly, a cool fingertip silently brushed her lips.
It paused for half a second—then slipped into her mouth, pressing down on her tongue.
Wang Ning’s eyes went wide.
“Mm-mph!!”
The security officer shouted, “Stop right there! Which class are you students from?!”
But in the very next moment—
Like teleportation, Rinmatsu glided past the officer with an eerie lightness.
She tilted her head, eyes smiling.
“Students? Us?”
“We’re a family, obviously—”
“If you can’t even tell that, then your eyes are worthless.”
“AAAAAAHHHH—!”
The scene before Wang Ning was drenched in blood.
Her blood ran cold.
Even her teeth began to chatter.
They… really were willing to kill.
That terrifying realization became crystal clear now.
Rinmatsu, now done with the nuisance, hummed a tune as she returned to Wang Ning’s side.
She leaned in.
“Wow, what a pitiful face.”
With deep blue curls cascading over Wang Ning’s shoulder, Rinmatsu peered at her up close.
Their noses nearly touched.
“Hmm? Crying already?” Rinmatsu’s voice was genuinely curious.
A few drops of blood stained her porcelain-white face.
Her pupils reflected nothing but pure confusion.
“Just from seeing something like that—”
“Rinmatsu,” Rindong cut her off.
She gently placed a hand over Wang Ning’s eyes and said softly, “You’re scaring her.”
Rinmatsu had been leaning in so far that most of her body was practically resting on the girl in the wheelchair.
Her arms braced on either side of it.
But at her sister’s words, she slowly lifted her head.
“Of course I know,” she said.
The twins locked eyes.
Then Rindong looked away and said, “Let’s go.”
The school gate’s permissions were lifted.
The two prepared to leave with Wang Ning.
Suddenly, Rindong raised her head.
As if sensing danger, she quickly dodged from her original position, sidestepping with precision.
Rinmatsu’s pupils shrank.
She looked up.
A voice rang out from above.
“Hey, I said—”
“Where exactly do you think you’re taking my roommate?”
