The church that worships the Creator Goddess records the process of the Goddess’s creation.
In one day, the Goddess created this world.
The Goddess said it was too dark here, and so the world had light.
The Goddess said it was too empty here, and so the world had heaven, earth, and all things.
The Goddess felt lonely, so she created life with higher intelligence.
She watched as they spread across the entire world.
Humanity did not disappoint her expectations. They overcame difficulties, step by step occupying the entire world, except for the desolate wastelands at the borders.
There dwelt the hateful Demon Clan, the dregs discarded by the great Creator Goddess.
To resist the powerful invasions of the demons, the Creator Goddess created the Heroines for humanity.
The Heroine, as the child of the Goddess, handcrafted by the Goddess herself, is a gift bestowed upon humanity, bearing the mission of a hero.
High above the clouds, on the outer edge of the world, within a hall composed of stars, the Creator Goddess was here, creating a new Heroine. The demons had surged forth again, and the church was beseeching her for a Heroine’s descent.
As in the past, the Creator Goddess would select a “Miracle Power” recorded in the divine artifact, the Universal Sacred Canon, and bestow it upon the Heroine for her use.
As for the Heroine, unlike the process in certain two-dimensional worlds on some planet where Heroines are summoned from other dimensions—and to prevent herself from ending up like a certain not-too-bright blue-haired goddess who gambled and lost herself—the Creator Goddess would personally use the power of world rules she commanded to mold the Heroine.
Just as the church’s legend said, the Heroine was a child truly handcrafted by the Creator Goddess in the literal sense.
Of course, for the Creator Goddess, rather than the lofty-sounding term “create,” it was closer to being… hand-sculpted.
The Creator Goddess took a bit of the Law of Creation and, with her bare hands, kneaded a rough humanoid shape. When deciding on the gender, however, she was somewhat stumped.
“What gender should I make this time?”
The Creator Goddess stood there blankly and adorably, pondering over the vaguely humanoid form in her hands.
“I’ve made males before, females before, even males without the ‘tools of the crime,’ stone maidens, even futanari… Hmm, what to do?”
Troubled, the Goddess kneaded the figure, changing it again and again, but she was unable to decide for a long time on the final gender.
“I’ll roll a die~”
The Creator Goddess clapped her hands, and a die materialized out of thin air. The spontaneously conjured die cast itself, thus determining the new Heroine’s gender.
This hasty decision bestowed the result of a female gender upon the new Heroine. Having made up her mind, the Creator Goddess shaped the figure in her hands into a female form.
“Hmm~ Always went for multi-colored hair before—black, blue, purple, gold again… This time, let’s do white hair, and then…”
After deciding on the new Heroine’s hair, the Goddess used her divine power to lengthen the Heroine’s hair down to her waist, her facial features gradually becoming three-dimensional.
“Not bad. The appearance is complete.”
The Creator Goddess inspected her work and nodded, quite satisfied with her new creation.
The girl floating in midair now possessed hair as pure white and rich as milk, as smooth as silk, flowing down to her waist. A perfect face was adorned with amber eyes containing endless charm and a sense of reassurance, seemingly offering profound tranquility and easily making one associate her with her identity as a Heroine.
Next, all that was needed was to inject a soul into this vessel. The Creator Goddess took a star from her palace. Under the catalysis of divine power, the star instantly transformed into the base form of a soul.
The Goddess raised her hand. Divine power guided the soul to establish a connection with the physical body. The soul’s appearance and form transformed in an instant to match the physical body.
But a soul couldn’t be directly inserted into the body just yet. After all, as a Heroine, she ought to have some extraordinary personal charisma, right?
The Creator Goddess took out the Sacred Canon and, like adding attribute points in a game, bestowed new traits upon the Heroine’s soul before her.
“For abilities, let’s choose this one. I’ve played with all-element magic and weapon mastery before. This time, let’s use something more violent~~~”
The Creator Goddess cheerfully completed the selection of the new Heroine’s talents. Next came the stage of shaping the Heroine’s personality.
“Add a bit of wisdom, a bit of luck, some courage, then add an extra portion of strength, and finally, a dash of indispensable moral character…”
The Creator Goddess took the concepts of “Wisdom,” “Luck,” “Courage,” and “Strength” from the Sacred Canon one by one, scattering them into the air and injecting them into the Heroine’s soul. The originally transparent soul body, absorbing these concepts, gradually took on various colorful hues during the process.
But when adding “Moral Character,” the Creator Goddess’s hand slipped a little. The Universal Sacred Canon poured down, and a massive amount of “Moral Character” merged into the Heroine’s soul. The once multicolored soul was instantly dominated by the blue symbolizing “Moral Character,” occupying the vast majority.
“Ah… oh no!!! I accidentally added too much! But, oh well, it should be fine… right?”
The Creator Goddess hastily stuffed the Heroine’s soul into the physical body. Then, with a toss, she threw it towards the altar outside the palace—the only place connected to the human world, and also where the church listened to the voice of the gods.
“Mission accomplished!”
Thus, the slightly scatterbrained Goddess sent the female Heroine to a small village in the world.
Human World, Beside the Church Altar.
This grand altar was built to worship the great Creator Goddess and listen to her teachings. Normally, it was only used during the annual Creator Goddess festival.
The only exception was when summoning a new Heroine during a demon invasion.
The Grand Altar was located at the very center of the Church’s headquarters. The ceiling of the building housing the altar was special. Directly above the Grand Altar, the ceiling was hollowed out, forming an opening. Sunlight poured down from this opening, adding another layer of sanctity to the altar.
Surrounding the Grand Altar, many nuns in habits knelt. Numerous clergy robed in holy radiance knelt in the altar’s inner circle, holding sacred objects and murmuring incantations of prayer. And at the very center of the Grand Altar, most radiant of all, was the holy flame, emitting boundless light.
It was said the holy flame connected to the Starry Hall where the Creator Goddess resided, and was also the place where divine revelations for a new Heroine’s arrival were received. When humanity faced the danger of a demon invasion, the High Priest would conduct a ritual, beseeching the Creator Goddess for a new Heroine.
Because without a Heroine, humanity was no match for the demons.
The Demon Clan had too many types, and each branch race possessed unique skills and formidable strength. Not to mention the representative Demon Royal Clan, whose affinity for magic was so strong it was unimaginable.
A Demon King of old once battled the Third Heroine—a top-tier archmage with max affinity for all elemental magic—in a magical exchange that lasted for days and nights. The Demon King was only defeated and slain after exhausting his magic power, and their battlefield had been reduced to nothing but scorched earth.
Even the subordinate races—werewolves, succubi, and others—each had their own innate abilities. There were even insectoid races capable of mass-producing offspring, overwhelming humanity in numbers.
Unwilling to accept their status as the Creator Goddess’s rejects, the demons launched invasions against the Goddess’s children—humanity—time and again, seeking to break out of the resource-poor, harsh wastelands and annex humanity’s fertile lands.
Just as humanity was on the verge of defeat, the sacred flames ignited on the altar. The First Heroine appeared there and alone repelled the invading demon army.
Thereafter, the battles between humanity and the demons, between Heroines and Demon Kings, never ceased through the generations. Demon Kings had also been victorious, personally decapitating Heroines, even dismembering them, crushing their bones to ashes.
But when a Heroine died and the demons remained rampant, the Creator Goddess would again send down a new Heroine to help humanity defeat the demons.
The figure standing at the center of the Grand Altar at this moment was the one passed down through generations, the High Priest, the heart of the Church, enjoying equal prestige and authority as the human royal family.
Bent slightly at the waist, the High Priest muttered under his breath, chanting the most ancient incantation passed down through generations, the spell to summon a Heroine.
“Foundation of silver and iron, cornerstone of stone and the Archduke of Contracts”
The airflow changed with the High Priest’s chant, rapidly erupting in the shape of a whirlwind, forming walls centered on the Grand Altar.
“With the descending wind as a wall
Shut the gates on all four sides
Emerge from the hallowed hall”
The High Priest waved his staff. Vast magic power covered the space above the Grand Altar, spiraling endlessly.
“To the crossroads of the world and the endless cycle”
As the summoning spell advanced, the holy flames blazed fiercely, surging out from the altar’s center. A pillar of pure white flame rose from the ground, shooting up through the opening in the ceiling. The enormous pillar of light drew the gaze of everyone outside the church buildings.
“A new Heroine! The new Heroine is descending!”
The populace erupted. The royal members observing on site also breathed a sigh of relief. The situation on the battlefield was far from optimistic. Presumably, this new Heroine would lead humanity to victory.
Fill, fill, fill, fill, fill!
Repetition five times over.
But when the time comes to burst—announce!
“Entrust your body to humanity
Humanity’s fate shall be your sword
Stand by, follow the Creator Goddess
If you submit to this will, follow this reason, then answer
I swear here
I am the one who gathers the good of the eternal world
You are the savior of the world
Come forth from the Starry Hall, O Guardian of Humanity—!”
The holy flame fluctuated, responding to the High Priest’s spell, transmitting a divine revelation to him.
Receiving the divine revelation, the High Priest beamed with joy. He turned to convey commands to the already waiting order of Temple Knights.
“The new Heroine has descended in a countryside village named ‘Falling Star Village.’ Temple Knights, bring our Heroine back! Let her lead humanity to victory! Repel the hateful demons!”
“The Goddess is above!”
The High Priest, left hand holding a staff as tall as a man, right arm raised in a loud cry, his voice amplified by the mighty magic power within him, spread throughout the entire Holy City.
“The Goddess is above!”
The people’s response was so loud it seemed it could overturn the city, deafening to the ears.
At this very moment, everything happening at the Grand Altar was being broadcast through live crystal balls to every faction paying attention here.
Mage’s Guild
“Since the new Heroine has descended, the counteroffensive against the demons should commence soon. The formation of the Heroine’s party will likely be on the agenda immediately.”
The Mage’s Guild Master—a white-haired old man with golden spectacles—turned off the crystal ball live feed. He turned to instruct a young man beside him, his whole body shrouded in a blue mage’s robe.
“The Mage’s Guild has decided to send you to participate in this expedition of the Heroine’s party. You are not only an outstanding talent of the younger generation but also one of the few eighth-tier mages in our guild…”
Alchemist’s Guild
“Most importantly, you must build a good relationship with the Heroine. Remember, the Heroine is a being personally crafted by the Creator Goddess, endowed with power far beyond our common sense.”
The Alchemist’s Guild Master—a curvaceous middle-aged woman—addressed her prized disciple, a meek, bespectacled young woman whose entire body carried a strong scent of potions.
Adventurer’s Association
“…So, if you can establish an unbreakable relationship with the Heroine, it will bring immense benefits to our organization. In the past, our Adventurer’s Association once received powerful artifacts from the Sixth Heroine, which allowed us to develop to where we are today.”
The Adventurer’s Association Master instructed a tall, muscular young man.
Royal Court
“Although the Heroine possesses extremely strong combat abilities, they are often very simple-minded. With your methods, it should be easy to get them to accept your ‘friendship.’ After all, they are beings designed and manufactured.”
The Emperor sat upright upon the throne, doing psychological preparation for his future heir—the Imperial Crown Prince.
“If you can gain the Heroine’s help and support, your future throne will be more secure and stable.”
Church
“The most important point is that the Heroine absolutely cannot do anything that harms humanity.”
In a dim room, a figure with an indistinct face said in a low voice to the holy maiden kneeling below.
“If this time it is a male Heroine, you must use your body to entice him into joining our Church if necessary. Only then can we gain more benefits from the royal family. Understood?”
The white-robed holy maiden knelt respectfully and replied: “I understand.”
