Kurumi spoke in a sultry voice as she slowly revealed her face. Despite her love for cats, Kurumi was too proud to let others know about it. Unfortunately, the stray cat in front of her had suddenly gained the powers of a spirit, making it hard for Kurumi to see it as just a cat.
“Sorry, Miss Kyonyuu, but I can’t let anyone know about this!”
Kurumi pointed her gun at the cat, her sweet voice contrasting with her harsh words. While she wouldn’t go so far as to silence someone, she was willing to intimidate and teach a lesson.
(Just scaring her a bit shouldn’t be a problem, right?)
However, Qianye didn’t know what Kurumi was thinking. Seeing Kurumi point a gun at her, Qianye grew anxious.
“Kurumi, please put the gun down. Let’s talk about this!”
“You know me?”
Kurumi was surprised, as she hadn’t heard any sound with her ears, but the words had appeared directly in her mind. This was a form of telepathy.
“Well, that’s a long story!”
Qianye realized she could still use her spirit powers even in the cat’s body, and she came up with a new way to utilize her abilities.
“Meow~”
As Qianye’s cat eyes turned pink, a pair of heart-shaped marks appeared, and a girl’s illusion gradually took form. Her smooth, flowing pink hair cascaded down her shoulders like a waterfall, and her delicate, fair skin contrasted with her alluring figure. She wore a majestic black floor-length gown paired with a semi-transparent black bodysuit, exposing large swaths of her white skin. Her arms, covered in thin black gloves, added to her allure. The black fabric from her neckline hugged her curves, and the deep cleavage visible through the semi-transparent material was both enticing and pure. Beneath the dark fabric, a dark purple heart-shaped mark was faintly visible, and combined with the horns on her head and the tail on her back, her identity as a succubus was clear.
“Greetings, Miss Succubus. I never imagined we’d meet like this.”
Kurumi curtsied elegantly, lifting her skirt, a gesture she hadn’t performed in a long time but remembered from her upbringing as a lady.
“Likewise, Miss Dream Eater. I never expected our first meeting would be in this form.”
Qianye tried to return the gesture but, having lived her previous life as a boy, didn’t know how to do so, and they stood in awkward silence.
“So, Miss Succubus, are you planning to invade my space through this cat?”
Kurumi pointed to her lips with a graceful finger, her voice tinged with both mockery and flirtation.
“Not at all! Don’t think I’m that kind of succubus who jumps on anyone!”
Qianye quickly retorted, though a part of her secretly hoped for it.
(Actually, being Kurumi’s cat wouldn’t be so bad. Lying on her black stockinged legs, inhaling her sweet scent, while she stroked my fur… Wait, what am I thinking?)
Qianye shook her virtual head and continued, “Unfortunately, I accidentally transferred my consciousness into this stray cat while testing my abilities. It was a pure accident.”
“Of course, Miss Succubus wouldn’t come looking for me like this!”
“Just call me Qianye, it’s simpler!”
“Then you should call me Kurumi too! Oh, did you already know my name? Am I that famous?”
Kurumi covered her seductive red lips with one hand, feigning surprise.
“Well, your reputation precedes you!”
Qianye sighed, knowing that Kurumi was more popular than the main series itself, being one of the few characters to break out of the anime’s niche.
“Oh my, I’m quite the celebrity! Maybe I should consider becoming an idol!”
Kurumi struck a dramatic pose, making a heart shape with her hands as if she were already a star.
“Wow!”
Qianye was momentarily captivated, but remembering their unfinished conversation, she shook her head, dispelling the thoughts.
“Wait here, I’ll bring my real body over!”
With that, Qianye’s illusion vanished like a reflection on water, and the cat regained its normal state.
“Meow!”
The cat, having been possessed by Qianye, seemed more affectionate towards Kurumi, jumping onto her shoulder and nuzzling her face.
“Oh my, what a cute little cat!”
Kurumi stroked the cat, her tone ambiguous as to whether she was genuinely praising the cat or implying something else.

Qianye’s body suddenly opened its eyes, sitting up and breathing a sigh of relief.
“Finally back! There’s nothing quite like being in your own body!”
Qianye felt a sense of liberation, having returned from the constricted cat body to her own.
(What was I supposed to remember? Never mind!)
“But even back in my own body, I can still sense the cat’s presence and transfer my consciousness to it at any time. Is this part of my abilities?”
“Of course! That cat is now your familiar, and you can control its body whenever you want!”
A sultry voice echoed in Qianye’s mind.
“Mom… Miss Celia!”
“Oh, you’re so mean! Calling me mom wouldn’t be so bad, naughty girl, you’re making me cry!”
Celia’s voice sounded on the verge of tears, making Qianye feel embarrassed. Although she knew Celia was just teasing, Qianye still felt a twinge of shame.
Reluctantly, Qianye called out, “Mom!”
“Good girl!”
Qianye could almost see Celia’s beaming smile.
“What about that ability I just used?”
“Well, you accidentally turned that cat into your familiar, and now it’s under your control.”
“Familiar?”
“Yes, succubi aren’t great at direct combat, but our unique abilities make us feared among the gods. Creating familiars is one of them.”
“That cat now has a fragment of your soul crystal, making it a part of you, your familiar!”
“Soul crystal fragment? Isn’t that like a pseudo-spirit?”
“You could say that. The pseudo-spirits you create are under your command.”
“So, how do I give someone a soul crystal fragment?”
“That’s for you to discover on your own, silly!” Celia laughed. “I can’t believe you managed to do this so quickly. You’re full of surprises, my little rascal!”
