Wonderful, really wonderful

Chapter 25910 words8 min read

Atop the tall wall beside the school gate stood a familiar figure.

Wang Ning opened her mouth, wanting to shout, “Roomie Study-God, run! These two are actual psychotic murderers!”

But before she could make a sound, Rindong covered her mouth again.

Glass An looked down at the two strangers below with caution in her eyes.

She didn’t say anything unnecessary.

Instead, she simply leapt down, flipping open a wooden stick she’d snatched from someone earlier.

In an instant, Rindong’s gun locked on to her and fired three shots without hesitation.

The shell casings clattered crisply as they hit the ground.

“Watch out!” Wang Ning shouted as she finally regained her voice.

The blue-haired figure bent backward, stepping back swiftly.

In the next second, she pushed off the ground with her toes, legs bracing for a full-speed burst.

She dashed forward.

She twisted, flipped, and spun.

The stick in her hand sliced through the air like a sharpened blade, letting out a sharp, whistling sound as it swept toward the enemy, brimming with murderous intent.

Her light green eyes, like a beast awakened from a deep forest, shone with icy killing intent.

Rindong narrowed her eyes and ducked under the horizontal swing, then kicked Wang Ning’s wheelchair hard, sending it rolling toward Rinmatsu.

She used her other hand to press against the ground and spun in a nimble flip.

Her earlier disguise had long since disappeared.

Her twin tails lifted for a moment mid-air, and her violet eyes slid to the corners of her gaze, taking in the inverted world and the opponent rushing at her.

She calmly pulled the trigger.

On the side, Wang Ning struggled to maintain her balance in the wheelchair.

Her head spun, and everything in her vision blurred into spirals.

She was going to get motion sickness—from a wheelchair!

Rinmatsu quickly caught her and pushed the wheelchair as she ran, flinging a few blades toward Rindong in the process.

As expected, Rindong’s reflexes were sharp.

While evading the blue-haired girl’s attacks, she also returned fire, sending a few bullets back at her sister.

Rinmatsu’s fair cheeks flushed with excitement.

“Wow! It’s the brave father stepping up to protect his daughter from kidnappers!”

Seriously? This pretend-play still isn’t over?!

And also—who exactly is the real criminal here?!

Wang Ning couldn’t even begin to describe her own mental state right now.

She vaguely felt like an old grandmother was beckoning to her in the distance.

…She finally understood who the target audience was for criminal roleplay clubs.

The bandages loosened.

Wang Ning’s effort finally yielded delayed results—her fingers brushed the small gun in her pocket.

Shao had given it to her for self-defense.

Wang Ning didn’t think much of it at the time—she had never considered using it.

She just thought it looked cool and sleek, so she carried it around and occasionally fiddled with it when bored.

Fortunately, her two kidnappers had believed in her “uselessness” so much that they hadn’t even bothered to search her body.

Now…

Wang Ning lowered her gaze.

Beside her, the green-haired girl watched the fight with interest, her attention fully on the battle.

She paid no mind to Wang Ning’s subtle movements—or perhaps, simply didn’t take them seriously.

That blue-haired one was vicious and mechanical in tone, but her attacks were swift, precise, and ruthless.

Her sister might actually be in trouble.

Rinmatsu thought this with a smile.

But unfortunately, the outcome was already obvious.

Rindong blocked the descending staff with the body of her gun.

As the distance between them closed, their eyes met—green ones devoid of emotion clashing with pale purple irises.

To an outsider, it looked like Glass An suddenly froze.

And in the next second, Rindong countered with lethal precision.

No matter how much Wang Ning might have wished otherwise, battles in real life weren’t like the ones in those anime she’d watched in her past life—where the timeline got dragged out forever, flashbacks filled an entire episode, and one dramatic pose could stretch twenty minutes.

Real fights ended quickly.

“Welp, let’s all congratulate Ms. Criminal on her defeat!” Rinmatsu cheered gleefully.

She watched Rindong sway slightly, then fired several blank shots at the fallen Glass An.

No bullets left.

Rindong lowered her gaze and looked at Glass An for two seconds, then turned around.

“Let’s go,” said the elder twin as she slowly walked over.

Her voice bore no trace of strain, calm as if the fight had never happened.

No—they couldn’t go yet!

Wang Ning clenched her teeth, her heart racing.

She looked at the blue-haired girl lying on the ground not far away.

She had to buy more time.

Rinmatsu asked curiously, “Hey Rindong, if I hit you now, would it kill you?”

“No.”

Rinmatsu looked genuinely disappointed.

“Aww—well, let’s go then.”

She turned, about to push the wheelchair.

In that instant, something cold and hard pressed silently against her waist.

“Don’t move.”

Rinmatsu saw the white-haired girl in the wheelchair quietly look up at her.

Tattered bandages and disheveled clothes gave her a fragile appearance.

But her ocean-blue eyes were shockingly pure, almost detached from human emotion—like an angel lacking feelings.

And in her thin, slender hand—

She held a gun.

Its muzzle was now pressed directly against Rinmatsu’s waist.
