These were habits from Earth, where one would try to be tolerant towards women. However, this world was different.
Here, one faced female cultivators, individuals capable of ending a life. One should never mistake them for ordinary women.
“Check my storage bag? Heh, on what grounds?” Bai Lan scoffed. “Are you part of the sect’s management? Or an enforcement disciple?”
“Even an enforcement disciple wouldn’t have the right to inspect my storage bag, would they? Let me be clear: I don’t want to clash with women.”
“So, you and your people had best leave at once.” Bai Lan’s temper had been particularly foul lately. First, Chen Xuan had irritated her, and now another troublemaker had appeared, only worsening her mood.
What Bai Lan hadn’t realized was that ever since transforming into a woman, her thoughts and temperament seemed subtly different from before.
While she might not have fully detected this shift herself, she only knew her mood had been poor recently. Anyone who dared to cross her now, even a woman, would face her wrath.
“Ha? No right?” Senior Sister Song retorted, utterly enraged. “Then this young lady will show you whether I have the right or not!”
“Go! Seize both of them. I’ve been annoyed by their faces for a while now. I’ve decided: not only will I take their belongings, but I’ll also scratch up their faces!”
As soon as she spoke, the female disciples around her immediately advanced towards Bai Lan and Xue Linglong, their expressions hostile.
None of this group were kind individuals. Perhaps they had been bullied themselves, for their current mindset was entirely different from before.
After all, a kind person is easily bullied, just as a gentle horse is easily ridden—everyone understood this principle.
Moreover, having joined a small group, they had to cooperate. Only through such unity could they better survive in the outer sect.
Thus, often it wasn’t that they wished to bully others; rather, if they didn’t, they would surely be bullied themselves.
This cycle would only break if their combat prowess reached a level where they feared no other small group.
Upon seeing the figures approach, Xue Linglong immediately whispered a question.
“Sister, are we truly going to fight?”
“Otherwise, what? If you don’t fight, do you expect them to let us go?” Bai Lan responded.
“Linglong, remember this: only when they fear you will they stop bothering you. Compassion depends on the target.”
“Being merciful to them is useless. If you don’t want to act, I will.” Bai Lan sensed Xue Linglong’s hesitation.
However, Xue Linglong shook her head. She was exceptionally clever and understood Bai Lan’s meaning perfectly.
Knowing this, she certainly wouldn’t just sit back and await her fate.
“You two had better let yourselves be caught quietly, or face the consequences,” one of the girls said sinisterly.
But just as she reached out to grab Bai Lan’s arm, a cold glint flashed in Bai Lan’s eyes.
The next moment, she swiftly seized the girl’s wrist and flung her in a certain direction.
Bai Lan’s counterattack was incredibly fast. By the time the girl realized what was happening, she was already airborne.
Her pupils constricted, and a gasp escaped her lips.
“Ah!”
“Ouch!” Following the cry of surprise was, naturally, a yelp of pain.
The girl flew through the air, landing heavily in front of Senior Sister Song. Fortunately, this was a sandy beach, so the ground wasn’t hard.
Moreover, the opponent was also a cultivator, so this strike wouldn’t seriously harm them—at most, it would just leave them a bit disheveled.
Most of the girls here lacked combat experience. Many hadn’t even begun practicing the Luoshen Sword Art.
After all, most of these young women hadn’t been cultivators for very long.
“What?” The other girls jumped in fright. They instinctively took several steps back, staring at Bai Lan.
This was their first time witnessing such a scene—a companion effortlessly flung away.
“You? Damn it! What are you all so afraid of?” Senior Sister Song exclaimed. “There are only two of them; attack together!”
Though she, too, had recoiled in fear, she quickly recovered and once again urged her followers to attack Bai Lan and Xue Linglong.
Despite their fear, often, fear was useless. They had to advance.
They could only use their crude combat techniques to attack Bai Lan and Xue Linglong, who promptly retreated and dodged.
Their combat skills amounted to simple punches, kicks, and grappling—purely the fighting style of ordinary people.
It was only because they had reached the Qi Refining realm that their strength and speed had increased significantly.
However, these meager tricks were only effective against those on their own level. Against Bai Lan, who possessed the honed combat instincts of a man, they were vastly outmatched.
A man’s mind inherently possessed combat instincts. Almost all boys enjoyed fighting in their childhood, and conflicts with others were highly probable during adolescence.
Thus, over time, the male psyche developed certain innate combat instincts.
Moreover, Bai Lan still harbored a portion of Xue Yue’s soul and memories, and Xue Yue had cultivated since childhood, possessing combat skills far beyond ordinary individuals.
Bai Lan moved with great agility, dodging and counterattacking simultaneously. Three or four people found themselves utterly helpless against her.
As for Xue Linglong, her movements were even more uncanny. She seemed to anticipate her opponents’ actions, dodging a step ahead whenever they attacked.
Her counterattacks were even stranger, always targeting the girls’ weaknesses.
Each time, she effortlessly defused an attack, then maneuvered her opponents into hitting themselves.
It felt as though two adults were toying with children. However, Bai Lan’s patience had its limits.
After a brief entanglement, her attacks grew harsher. Evading a girl’s lunge, she raised a hand and delivered a resounding slap across her face.
The girl’s eyes saw stars from the blow. Many of them had never endured such a beating.
The first girl struck stood stunned for a moment, touching her face, before bursting into tears.
“You hit me? How dare you hit me? My mother and father have never hit me!” the girl wailed.
“You hit me, I— Waaah, I’ll fight you to the death!” Crying, she lunged at Bai Lan once more.
Bai Lan, meanwhile, grew increasingly ruthless in her attacks. Yet, her blows merely caused the girls pain, never breaking bones or severely injuring them.
Ultimately, she was still holding back.
Senior Sister Song, watching from the sidelines, found her expression growing stiffer the longer she observed.
The fight before her was becoming increasingly farcical. The girls surrounding Bai Lan were all crying and wailing as if they had gone mad.
Their faces were covered in slap marks. As soon as they approached, Bai Lan would simply raise a hand and deliver another slap.
As for Xue Linglong, the girls who had been attacking her were now breathless and exhausted.
“Damn it! Why do you keep dodging?” one of the girls attacking Xue Linglong fumed. “Don’t you dare dodge!”
Xue Linglong, however, ignored them. She simply stood smiling from a safe distance, watching them.
Of course, her peripheral vision remained fixed on Bai Lan.
“Damn it, why do you only hit our faces?” The girls attacking Bai Lan also began to lose strength.
Their four small faces were bright red, as if scorched by the sun, presenting a comical sight.
“No reason in particular,” Bai Lan replied, her voice chilling. “I already said I don’t want to bully women, but you insisted on bothering me.”
“So, I can only teach you a lesson. Right now, I’m just hitting your faces. If you dare to come any closer, I’ll strip off all your clothes and throw you into the sea to feed the fish.”
These words terrified them all. They instinctively glanced at Senior Sister Song.
Seeing their reaction, Senior Sister Song knew she couldn’t stand by idly. She drew the sword from her waist and lunged towards Bai Lan.
Though her move was quite ordinary, it was indeed a technique from the Luoshen Sword Art.
