Chapter 29
Staros’s sudden proposition caused Lisbeth to tilt her head in utter confusion. To her, the size of Staros’s chest was utterly irrelevant. Yet, knowing Staros was no fool, Lisbeth understood this wasn’t a frivolous request.
As expected, upon seeing Lisbeth’s puzzled expression, Staros instantly broke into a mysterious smile. Then, she spoke softly.
“Now, I don’t believe you’re foolish. So you must understand that since Olivia crafted all our current bodies, our original forms are undoubtedly still in her possession. For me, my previous body holds no significance, but for you, it must be incredibly important, mustn’t it? Perhaps this presents a golden opportunity.”
“Heh, yes, it is indeed a good opportunity,” Lisbeth replied. “It’s just that this ‘golden chance’ has arrived so abruptly, I find myself somewhat unable to embrace it.”
Upon hearing Staros’s words, Lisbeth’s gaze turned chillingly cold. She fixed Staros with an icy stare, continuing with a frigid tone.
“Had I desired to reclaim my original body and flee this Demon Lord’s Castle, I would never have set foot within its walls. While I’m unaware of who prompted you to utter such things, I kindly request you refrain from these tiresome tests in the future.”
“Hmph, how utterly uninteresting,” Staros scoffed. “I had genuinely hoped you’d seize the chance to utter something more entertaining.”
The moment Lisbeth’s words faded, Staros’s expression shifted to one of complete boredom. Waving a dismissive hand, she addressed Lisbeth.
“Alright, alright, let’s put an end to the jokes for now and discuss what truly matters. While my suggestion about you reclaiming your body was merely a jest, my wish for a larger chest is entirely serious. For this, I genuinely require your assistance.”
“Very well, then speak your piece,” Lisbeth responded. “Given that you’re proposing this to me, I trust you’ve already prepared terms enticing enough to pique my interest?”
Just as Lisbeth had surmised, Staros’s abrupt remarks earlier had merely been a test. Her mannerisms gave no indication of being manipulated; it seemed she had genuinely been jesting. Thus, observing Lisbeth’s newfound interest, Staros suddenly gestured towards Lisbeth’s chest.
“Lisbeth,” Staros began, “while your chest was crafted to absolute perfection, are you aware that the larger breasts are, the more they tend to sag over time?”
“What? Sagging!?” Lisbeth exclaimed.
Staros’s words struck Lisbeth as something she had never once contemplated. Despite reveling in the perfection of her own chest, the concept of sagging had simply never crossed her mind. Seeing Lisbeth’s utterly stunned expression, Staros merely shook her head.
“Lisbeth, do you realize something?” Staros asked. “While Olivia is undeniably a genius, she is far from a perfectionist. In fact, one could say she deeply reveres imperfections. In her view, flaws are precisely what allow for improvement, what drive progress. Thus, the word she despises most is ‘perfect.’ She could easily ensure your body remained perpetually fixed in a single form, yet she would absolutely refuse to do so.”
“However, the last time I visited her laboratory, I happened upon her conducting experiments with a potion designed to prevent aging. Therefore, if we could acquire that particular medicine, I believe you would…”
“Deal! I’ll help you!” Lisbeth declared decisively.
At this juncture, Lisbeth fully grasped Staros’s true meaning. Though she had no idea how long it would take for her chest to begin sagging, she was resolute: she would never permit such a thing to occur, regardless of when that day might arrive. Seeing Lisbeth’s firm nod, Staros clapped her on the shoulder.
“Excellent, I appreciate straightforward individuals. So, without further delay, in a couple of days when we’re at work, the moment Olivia steps away, we’ll slip into her research laboratory!”
“Alright! I understand!” Lisbeth affirmed.
