“Why should I tell you~?”
Bam!
Nanami Kento punched the curse, which was still dazed, its face caving in.
He grabbed the curse’s hair, lifting its head, and asked again, “What are your numbers and positions?”
“Ugh…guh…”
Wham!
Another punch landed.
“What are your numbers and positions?”
“I-I don’t know!”
Another punch for lying.
Bam!
The curse crashed through the wall. I walked towards it slowly.
“Stay back!”
I grabbed its hair again, lifting its head to meet my gaze.
“What are your numbers and positions?”
“I told you, I don’t know…”
Bam!
Another punch.
“What are your numbers and positions?”
“I…I don’t know…”
The curse’s fighting spirit had vanished. I delivered one final blow.
My fist connected with its already battered face, the result gruesome.
I had arrived during the Shibuya Incident.
I chose this specific point because I wasn’t interested in romance in this world.
I had promised Himiko I wouldn’t have more than five women, and more importantly, there wasn’t anyone in Jujutsu Kaisen who particularly caught my eye.
Still, I had a goal: to ensure everyone’s survival.
Especially Nanami Kento. I was saddened by his death in the anime, and I wanted to save him in this world.
‘Where am I, though?’
While I had arrived in Shibuya, I didn’t know the exact location of the battles depicted in the anime.
It was understandable. There was no need for me to memorize the names of every location.
But that’s what my senses were for.
Enhanced by the Demonic Divine Art, my senses extended far and wide. I detected three humans and a curse nearby.
‘Three humans and a curse? That must be the octopus curse.’
I had rewatched the Shibuya Incident arc with Himiko before entering this world, just in case.
‘They’re gone?’
Suddenly, they vanished from my senses.
‘Domain Expansion.’
The octopus curse must have activated its Domain.
I immediately ran towards their last known location.
I had to hurry. Otherwise, Nanami would lose his arm.
‘I can’t let him become Shanks.’
While Shanks’s missing arm added to his coolness, Nanami was more stylish with both arms intact.
Shanks losing his arm was a pivotal moment, entrusting Luffy with his straw hat, completing his character arc.
Nanami, however, was more impressive in his prime.
I wouldn’t allow him to lose his arm.
Maki Zenin was confronting the octopus curse.
“Nanami?”
“We’ll talk later. Let’s deal with this thing first.”
Nanami Kento and Naobito Zenin, the head of the Zenin clan, had joined her.
While it was just one curse, it was incredibly powerful.
Nanami Kento, a grade 1 sorcerer, Naobito Zenin, a special grade 1 sorcerer, and Maki Zenin, a grade 4 sorcerer with the skills of a grade 2 – this force could handle most curses below special grade, but this one seemed to be special grade level.
‘Still, it’s not unbeatable.’
Maki calmly assessed the situation based on her previous encounters with the curse. It would be a tough fight, but not impossible.
‘We might actually win this.’
Just as she reached that conclusion, the octopus curse spoke.
“Domain Expansion Boiling Water Sauna)”
Instantly, they were transported to a beach.
It looked like an ordinary beach.
‘Impossible. This is a Domain. Anything can happen.’
As I braced myself, I saw the fish.
‘They’re biting already!’
Not just biting, but already had bitten. The moment they entered the Domain, the curse’s technique had already taken effect.
‘That’s the sure-hit effect!’
One of the unique aspects of Domain Expansion was the guaranteed hit upon entering.
Being bitten was the price of entry.
“Secret Art: Downfall of a Flower”
A counter-Domain technique passed down through the three great sorcerer families.
Similar to a Simple Domain, it didn’t create a separate space but instead activated a sure-hit technique upon contact, releasing cursed energy to defend against the Domain’s effects.
“This is bullshit!”
Maki was frustrated. If she had such a technique, Domain Expansions wouldn’t be so daunting.
Fortunately, her frustration was short-lived. The Domain shattered, returning them to reality.
[Demonic Divine Art Demonic Heaven Splitter]
“I’m not too late. Good.”
And there, standing in the spot where there had been nothing moments before, was a man.
