Chapter 3: A Deal That Will Never Be Made (1)

Do you know what it means to live in a world where s*x is the main theme of the game?

And to be the only one among the heroines who has to maintain her virg*nity?

It means having to listen to the cries of aroused women seeping through the thin wooden walls every night.

“Ah…ugh…ahhh…heeehhh…!”

Crazy women, they’re no different from high-class courtesans.

In reality, no matter how much money you showered on them, you wouldn’t raise their favorability even by one point, yet here they come, spreading their legs wide and approaching on their own.

Living like this must feel like heaven.

If I were the protagonist, I’d have fallen into such a debauched lifestyle without a doubt.

Understanding that much, I can bear it to some extent.

To some extent.

“Ah, ugh, this…this is it! Oooh…! Something I’ve never experienced before…!”

When I used to run this game through a translator, all the moans were something like “Uh, ah! Red bean paste! Ah, yes!”—awkward and meaningless.

But hearing the actual voices of heroines in reality, they are nothing short of lewd and vulgar.

Listening to their cries like this only deepens my sense of despair for not being the protagonist in a hypnosis/corruption/degeneration-themed 18+ fantasy game.

A variety of body types, a range of personalities in heroines—having my fill of them, and when I get bored, throwing them to goblins or orcs to watch the aftermath, or discarding them as the town’s communal toilet—oh, the thrill of such sinful pleasure!

Of course, in reality, none of this would ever be possible.

If I even tried, I’d be behind bars immediately.

Even if I could, I wouldn’t.

But in this world, I could do all of it freely, and yet, I’m the one being victimized instead.

Damn it…

Sure, it’s arousing, but only when I get to participate as a “man.”

For me, right now, it’s just an unattainable dream.

Or in this case, it’s like food beyond a wall.

“Ahhh, please! Fill me up! All of it…ugh…ahhhhhh!!”

“These crazy women, seriously…I’m going insane!!”

When the cries finally subside, it’s already the time when the light of dawn starts streaming into the room through the window.

Summer mornings come so early, and as expected, I couldn’t get any proper sleep again today.

I’ve always been someone who couldn’t sleep in bright light.

After tossing and turning in bed for a while, the only thing I can do is to go out for a walk to clear my head.

“Ah, Sera! You’re up already?”

“…And you, Hero, seem to be up very early as well. Amazing, really. Right?”

“Taking morning walks has always been my thing.”

When I walk down the stairs, the Hero greets me cheerfully without a hint of fatigue.

If the cries died down about an hour ago, and I was tossing and turning in bed for about that same amount of time, that means this guy recovered from all his exhaustion with only an hour of sleep.

After mingling with the heroines like that, and only an hour of rest…as expected of an eroge protagonist, his stamina is something else.

Just thinking about the possibility of being hypnotized and spending the whole day under that guy—it’s chilling.

Even as a saint, there’s no way my body could handle it.

I resolve myself once again: I must avoid corruption as a woman at all costs.

“It’s not a very interesting hobby.”

“Haha, is that so? I’ve been told that a lot since forever.”

“…So, are you not running today?”

“Huh? Why would I? Today, Sera’s by my side. No way I’d leave a girl alone, would I?”

Hearing the word “consideration” come out of his mouth feels strangely off.

Doesn’t he hear the sharp tone in my voice since earlier?

Well, considering that he was summoned into this world like me, it means he retains memories of modern society.

Being Japanese, he’d have to translate, but this 18+ game was relatively famous, so it’s highly likely he has some knowledge of it as a man.

That’s why he spends all day mingling with the heroines.

What he probably wants is information about me.

Since failing to corrupt me leads directly to the bad ending, I must be his biggest problem.

Here, I need to completely hide the fact that I have memories of my “previous life” and act as Sera while trying to gather information about him instead.

“Well, fine. I was curious about the Hero as well.”

“Haha, that’s interesting. I’ve been curious about you too, Sera. Even though we’ve been in a party together for quite some time, you don’t seem to show any interest in me.”

“What a coincidence. Then let’s do this. Let’s take turns asking questions, and neither of us will lie. How about that for our walk?”

“Sounds good. Can I start first?”

Even if we promise not to lie, it’s not as if we’re swearing in front of the god of contracts.

There’s no issue with hiding facts as long as they’re not directly asked.

The important thing is to throw unexpected questions at him and observe his reactions. I’ll gladly let him take the lead for now.

“Sera, what kind of child were you when you were young?”

When I was young? Hmm, well, when I opened my eyes, I was in a small orphanage run by a church… I don’t have any memories before that.

“…Amnesia? Sorry, I didn’t mean to ask something inappropriate…”

“No, no! Still, I had quite a good time at the church… and before long, a divine blessing mark appeared on me, which is how I ended up in this undeserved role as a saint.”

Saying that the role of a saint doesn’t suit me isn’t exactly a lie, and it’s true that “Sera” doesn’t have many memories either.

Even the records about me in the church are sparse… Well, this is a game where the focus is on s*x scenes, so there’s no way the heroines would have detailed backstories.

All that matters is whether they’re arousing.

Even if the Hero finds it suspicious that I can’t be hypnotized, at least when it comes to my past, there’s nothing to feel guilty about.

“What about you, Hero? Could you tell me stories about the world you came from? A world different from this one?”

“The world I lived in… It was just ordinary. I talked with friends, sang songs, played soccer with them… Oh, soccer is—”

In response to my question, the Hero started talking about his world.

Honestly, I wasn’t even curious; it was just a basic question to keep the conversation going… but now that he’s going into such detail, it’s hard to interrupt him.

Considering that my memories of the real world are much longer than my memories of this game world, everything he says feels all too familiar to me.

“During summer vacations, we’d have barbecues at the beach with friends…”

“Vacations with friends…? Isn’t summer break usually spent holed up at home playing games?”

“The aquarium was fun, too. We also visited an observatory to see constellations… and sometimes we did volunteer work. But, man, keeping up with classes was tough.”

“An aquarium…? An observatory…? Volunteer work…?”

The Hero, believing me to be a native of this world, explains unfamiliar terms while recounting his experiences.

This guy definitely has memories of the real world like I do, so why can’t I relate to anything he’s saying?

When I was in the real world, my summer breaks were all about staying home and playing games.

And even then, I couldn’t keep up with school.

I mean, does anyone actually live the kind of life that sounds like it was ripped straight from a college entrance essay? No matter how I think about it, it just sounds made up.

Perfect lives like that are usually lies.

“Wow… That sounds like a story straight out of a fairy tale. The world you lived in, Hero…”

“Haha, does it? Well, I guess it might seem that way…”

As I expressed amazement and pointed out how unreal his story sounded, his face briefly darkened—just for a moment, so quick that you’d miss it if you weren’t paying close attention.

So, it’s a lie, huh? There’s no way anyone lived that kind of life.

“The sun is about to fully rise. We should head back for breakfast, don’t you think?”

“Even if it’s morning, I bet Laura and Natalia are still going to be asleep.”

The Hero quickly changes his expression and cracks a joke. For about an hour, we continued walking along the quiet dirt road, exchanging questions about each other.

“We’re already back at the lodging. Let’s see… I guess my question will be the last one, right?”

This hour yielded no significant results other than confirming that the Hero is a liar.

Still in character as the saint, I turned to the Hero as we stood at the end of the dirt road, just before the lodging’s door.

“Hero, do you intend to kill the Demon King?”

The true ending of this eroge is achieved by corrupting all the heroines, including the saint, and ultimately enslaving even the Demon King.

The bad ending, where the Demon King is killed, inevitably results in the Hero’s death as well.

If the Hero, Kim Suhyun, is lying about his life and has even a little knowledge of this game world, he’ll be startled by the question about killing the Demon King and hesitate to answer.

And sure enough, the Hero couldn’t answer my question properly.

“I’ll definitely kill the Demon King, no matter what it takes.”

This response slightly increases my suspicion that he might have knowledge of this game world.

There’s no way a guy wouldn’t have played such a famous game, right?

If someone playing the role of a perfect saint, like me, said they were determined to kill the Demon King, anyone familiar with the game’s settings would find it terrifying. It’s practically a death threat—promising to lead the Hero to a bad ending.

With a sly smile, I opened the door to the lodging.

My action was a small act of revenge for the sleepless night caused by the moans that echoed endlessly.
