In League of Legends, there are couple champions.

A male ADC character and a female support character.

So, if the ADC picks that character, it’s best for the support to choose the corresponding couple champion.

“I’ve heard lately that it’s not really a big deal anymore, though.”

Well, since it’s a duo between people who are streaming, it shouldn’t matter if they create couple synergy.

I doubt anyone really thinks they’re in a relationship just because they pick such champions.
